  • I lost half of what else needs to be said about this place, because this application or program had a limit and I hit the wrong button! I tried to edit and repost, but it's all lost! Just know the Columbia, MD Bjs brewhouse is a toxic environment and the managers allow for it! This company isn't worth my time or effort anymore to even try to explain the poor food handling and poor attitudes of employees and management all over again!

  • My husband & I went to Bjs brewhouse in coral springs, Fl today. One of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. we have been there before and no issues arise until the second time we visited. We had to wait at least 10 mins for a table when there were clearly empty tables in sight. We were then finally seated and waited another 10 15 minutes for a waiter to show up, and no one di . Until a another family showed up and sat next to us and a waiter greeted them immediately and took their orders before us. The busser noticed this and offered to take our order which I found to be absolutely ridiculous. The waiter then turned around , barely said hello and threw coasters on our table in a hateful way. After that, my husband and I got up and left . We could not believe the disrespect we have been subjected to. I hate to say the reason being but it looked like your employee had an issue with african Americans. And it was very unfortunate and uncomfortable for us to witness the mistreatment. I will be filing a complaint and extremely furious with this service.

  • So another unhappy customer, my wife and I went to the new BJ's in Warwick Rhode Island last night. We got there about
    645-7 pm. Please was packed so we sat at the bar. We ordered a few drinks and got some spinach and artichoke dip with the chips, that came out with less than half of a container of spinach and artichoke dip. I finished my drink and a bartender made me a new one. My wife finished her drink and they took her glasses did not even ask her if she wanted another drink . So after 10 minutes of finally getting a bartender over there kid said that he didn't know how to make the drink that she wanted. Potati. ( it was just soda water vodka and a splash of raspberry syrup ) so we had to wait another 10 minutes for another bartender to come over and make the drink. I ordered the chowder in a bread bowl which came half filled with chowder. Then I ordered the baked ziti with the sausage etc. and that came with about five pieces of ziti and a quarter of a piece of sausage. You could actually see the bottom of the bowl that it came in because it was so little bit in
    there, by now it was almost 9 o'clock and they wanted to remake my food as my wife is sitting there eating hers. I went to the soft opening that they had with a limited menu and all their portions were huge being awful and the manager who is doing the opening was nice as can be. While sitting at the bar I watch them bring our food to four different people sitting at the bar and ask them if that was theirs . We also had everybody else's food come to ours and ask if it was ours. Total confusion in that place. I wish I could post a picture because I took a photo of the menu item versus the items that they brought out to me it is a joke. I've heard so many people complaining about this place because they switch the waitresses and waiters off halfway through your meal to give them a break and the new waitress has no clue what is going on or what your order was. I'm a very dissatisfied customer and don't think I'll be going back there at all. Please spread the word as I'm sure there's other people who went to the one in Warwick rhode Island and know exactly what I'm talking about

  • I have served in the industry and have family who are managing partners of similar restaurant concepts. I know whats its like to have rough days and be frustrated by the end of the night.
    We arrived approx 11:45 ft wayne, IN and sat at the bar bc we did not want to slow servers getting out in the next hour (closing). We were greeted promptly and served promptly. However, we were also in a bit of a hurry to order. When i politely told the bartender we were ready she fired back with her passive aggressive comment "yes, i was coming over as soon as i dropped these off." Which was fine. What was not fine was the eye roll, forcefully dropping of menus in front of me and a comment of "it's people like that" to a person sitting next to us (who obviously also works here). As the meal continued she continued to be extremely rude. What i find the most unfortunate, is that due to my experience in the field, i tip extremely generously… not tonight. Keep your attitude to yourself in the service industry. Especially if you are trying to earn money. I will also be reviewing this via social media to get the word out. If u want a miserable attitude filled experience, eat here with this bartender!

  • On October 21st, 2017, I decided to take my closest group of friends out to dinner. I had a choice of anywhere from Erie, PA to Mentor, Ohio. I had always spoken so highly of BJ’s that everyone wanted to eat there. (Out of the group of five people, only my husband and I had eaten there previously.) To put this into perspective, my husband and I drove 2 hours north to pick up the other 3 guests and drive another 45 minutes to the restaurant. We live near Pittsburgh, PA but had decided to drive north to save everyone else a much farther drive. I was very excited to introduce them to this restaurant. I would like to share my experience with you.
    At 10pm, we arrived to BJ’s in Mentor, Ohio. We were seated at a rounded booth. The waitress asked for our drink orders and everyone ordered an alcoholic beverage. While we were ordering our drinks, we asked her to change the closest TV to the baseball game. She came back shortly after with only 3 of the 5 drinks and told us they were out of the ingredients to make the other 2 drinks. We ordered two more different drinks and she said she was out of the ingredients for the second drink as well. She came back a 3rd time to tell us that the drink would be out momentarily, but they couldn’t find the recipe for the last drink. I had to ask again for the TV station to be changed. Finally, the last drink came out more than 25 minutes after the original drinks arrived.
    By this time, the glasses were all empty. We ordered more drinks along with our two appetizers, but the drinks did not show up until after dinner had been served and half eaten. I had ordered a tea while eating the appetizer and I didn’t see this tea until dinner had arrived. All of the glasses sat empty through the entrée. We ordered two desserts and more drinks. When my refill of tea still hadn’t come after we ate dessert, I asked her to please bring me a tea-to-go, since I couldn’t enjoy it while sitting. It took her over 40 minutes to get us the check. I had been charged for two teas. I was visibly upset by this point. I had already made it clear I waited too long for my drink and she still went ahead and charged me twice. I showed her the bill and asked her to correct it. She did, but with undeserved attitude towards me. We didn’t leave until after 12:30am.
    I have always loved the food at BJ’s. Obviously, we knew what we wanted. I ordered two appetizers, 5 entrees (three of which were steaks), 2 large desserts, and as much alcohol as needed. The problem wasn’t the food. The issue I have is with the customer service. I have been to BJ’s 5 times in the past 9 months. I love going there, and I usually take someone new with me to experience it. The customer service has always been hit or miss, but this time it was especially embarrassing for me. I was so embarrassed to have recommended a place that did not take care of me or my guests. I know they will not ever go to a BJ’s because they brought it up on the car ride home. The problem is, after this last experience, I do not know that I will return either. It is considered a brewhouse and I cannot begin to understand why anyone’s cup sat empty. You would think the restaurant would want a group of young twenty-somethings eating and drinking there for as long as possible.
    At the very end of the dinner, once all my guests had walked outside to the car, I did approach the manager, Mike. I attempted to explain how disastrous the dining experience was, but he seemed indifferent to the situation. Perhaps he did not know how truly disastrous it was. Thirty seconds later, I left with the problem unaddressed.

    No one replies to the e-mail address info@bjsrestaurants.com. Corp. Receptionist stated she is not allowed to forward issues to any corp. executive. Bad move. Am I a mystery shopper, investor, consumer with multiple poor experiences that could educate you on …future of this company if mistakes aren't corrected…am I a food critic so FYI as any of them we will not be going back any of the locations or sisters companies or restaurants. It's apparent from their track record burnt food, missing food, tasteless food ….see the publication

  • I'm an employee and I was shorted this pay period four days on my check. Every time I call the Noblesville Indiana restaurant they keep telling me they're too busy to talk to me IO gills I have to pay I have to have gas to get back and forth to work and I need to eat. So what is the solution to this ?

You would think that as popular as this restaurant is they would not treat you like you are nothing. A manager never came to take an incident report or even checked to see if I was ok. I had to call them the next day to report the fall. The manager Cliff said he had heard someone fell. But he was in another part of the restaurant. Brian or Byron was the manager in that section. Well it has been over a month now and their so called claims insurance people have not done anything to resolve this problem. So now I have to make it a legal matter which I didn't want to.

  • I had never felt discriminated, but it happened today at BJ's!! We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and have a good time with our family. Waiter was rude as hell and seemed to be having a bad time serving our table. He yelled at my granddaughter because he couldn't hear what she was ordering. We reported his behavior to the manager and they moved him elsewhere and send us a new waiter but the tension was there. Management never approached our table to see what had happened. I guess you have to be WHITE to get good service at BJ's. For sure we are not retuning!! Our $200 dollar bill was not good enough! I hope HE (waiter) gets a piece of his own medicine soon!!!

    • Unfortunately most servers regardless of their ethnicity are jaded towards a certain ethnicity due in part to knowing they are going to get stiffed when it comes time for tipping in for service. I have bent over backwards and consistent and excellent service for years towards all races. However it is a given that no matter how great of service and connection made with the people, they are just crappy tippers, it is well known an publicized. People see that you dress nice, drive nice cars obviously you make good money but consistently slap members of the service industry in the face with less than poor tipping. As a service proffessional who does get paychecks, and is dependent on their tips only to support families and try to save some to have just to spend time with our kids, it is disgraceful and ingnorant of people to not understand how hard service professionals work to constantly get stiffed by 90% of certain people when walk through door, everyone cringes at the possibility of getting you in our sections…we know we are going bend over backwards to make things enjoyable for you and then that $200 dollar check comes and you leave them $5-$10 dollars max it gets old. Please out yourself in their shoes, working that hard on your feet for hours no breaks just continuous and consistent serving with no return…sure people have had fun and will remember me and my great service and the whole thing is ruined when we open the check presenter an find a $5 after they dined for $200. That doesnt even cover what we have to tip others out on. Bartenders, bussers and food runners must be tipped on our sales, so basically a table spends 45 mins to 2 hours at a table to only tip you peanuts is not worth our time and money. Most of us have to tip out nearly 5% of hour sales combined. The person that was rude to you is not right and they need to be counseled. Please think of this as perhaps an eye opener for you and people you may know that don't tip well enough to support a hamster let alone a family to support.

  • Just had to let you know what a great manager Jason is at your restaurant at the South Hill Village in Pittsburgh, Pa. I love your restaurant but my takeout order wasn't up to your usual standards. I called and Jason was truly concerned and sent me a giftcard to make up for the error. He followed up with my survey and made sure I was satisfied. Customer service this good will keep me coming back and referring all my friends to BJs.

  • BJ's Culver City, Ca – Located at Westfield Mall
    Visited this BJ's last Wednesday, which made me remember why I don't patronize this particular BJ's. My family and I were satisfied until we paid for our meals. We asked for two separate checks, which we received with no problem. The issue was my bill was $66.19 and I paid $70 cash; my daughter's bill was $44 and some change, she paid $45 cash. We waited close to 15 minutes at least for our change. We had to ask another server to ask our server to bring our change and receipts. Our server sent someone else to bring my change ($3.81). My daughter never received her change. I think our server assumed we wanted her to keep it as a tip. However, I had her tip at the table ($10). I was waiting to receive my change to add the $3 with the $10 to leave a tip of $13. We asked to speak to the Manager because we had been waiting so long for our change and receipts. The Assistant General Manager, Felix came to our table. This is when things went South. Our server finally came to give my daughter her change and slammed it down on the table with an attitude (in front of her Manager). I tried to talk to her to let her know I had her tip at the table and I would never leave only a $3 tip. She turned her back and walked away before I could finish my statement. Felix the Manager did not acknowledge her rude, disrespectful and abrupt behavior. When we called it to his attention, he became belligerent with a nasty sarcastic tone . I will never return or patronize this BJ's again. I asked Felix time and time again for his Manager's name. He only insulted my intelligence and wasted my time by never giving me the information. FELIX SHOULD BE FIRED! This incident made me remember Felix and the reason why I don't visit this location. I don't think retraining would help him at this point. Felix exhibits a god-complex, which is very offensive. He lacks customer service skills, conflict resolution and most of respect and professionalism. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION AGAIN.

THE MAIN BOSS NOAH WAS GREAT TO HER THE ONE UNDER HER HAS TREATED HER UNJUST AND POORLY. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED BJS SINCE THE OPENED IN MY HOMETOWN IN CONCORD,CA. SHE IS PART TIME WORKING EVENINGS SHE SHOWED UP FOR HER FIRST SAY MONDAY 11/7 AND PASSED OUT AND THE BOSS CHEWED HER OUT IN FRONT OF EVERYON. MADE HER FEEL WORTHLESS. THATS NOT HOW YOU TREAT EMPLOYEES. HE HAS NOW CHANGED HER SCHEDULE SO IT DOESNT ACCOMIDATE HER AND MADE IT DAYS AND TOLD HER ' SHOW UP OR,FIND A NEW JOB' FIRST OFF THAT WRONG.   • Bjs in North Canton Ohio is unprofessional I used to work there and first things first they are serving dirty dishes employees are dating the food at the stations either over temp or under temp they cross contaminate if you wasn't go there during store hours and run test they will absolutely not pass the management tries to half ass make things look good but if you check I mean really check you will find so many violations I quit because of it I didnt want to be apart of a restaurant that doesn't care like I said they serving dirty dishes they cross contaminate and just stir it in instead of changing it I just couldn't work under those conditions even the walkin freezer floor had food caked on it so disgusting

  • Hello, I write to you as a server who works for BJS. I love my job and its fun for me to work in the restaurant atmosphere. Unfortunately, one of my managers here is constantly picking on me. Why is it he is the only one who dislikes me? He has been doing the schedule and lately giving me food running shifts only. Every time, another manager has to go back in and fix the schedule for me so I have hours. Not only that, but when I work with him on the floor he makes remarks that mistakes "must be HER" (as in me) but it never even is… I consider myself to be an excellent server and like I said, I love my job and I am understanding to criticism but when I am not even doing anything to get picked on by this one manager when the other managers recognize my great preformance. This managers name is Kenneth Elwood. I have no idea what he has against me but its hurting me financially and its hurting me emotionally because i genuinely do enjoy working for BJs and i really really dont want to leave.. This is the Melbourne FL location. I really hope someone sees this.. thank you for your time, its greatly appreciated.

  • I will never come back to your restaurant ever again! I was in your restaurant in Melbourne today and was sitting outside trying to enjoy my lunch when three managers and a young gentleman came out. They weren't out there five seconds when one of the managers started berating the young man accusing him of arson and threatening to call the police and having him band from not only the store but the whole mall! The other two managers said nothing! The poor man couldn't even get a word in edgewise. He had the right to defend himself! And being a cook as well, there was probably nothing more than a small grease fire, which is all to common in kitchens! If that is how you treat your employees without any regard or respect then you should not even be in business! Good riddance to bad rubbish!

  • A server named Jessica at Bj's brewhouse in Pembroke Pines, FL was unforgivably rude. Her attitude and the faces she would make unknowingly thinking I wasn't looking at her every move since she first spoke to me with a tone that I wouldn't give my own mother, so why would you give it to a customer that is bringing in business to the restaurant you work at. I am constantly spreading the word of how incredible to food is and the great customer service usually provided, but last night was a nightmare. Usually when you sit close next to the bar (which is what we did) you receive your food fast and steamy… It took an entire hour to bring our food and to complete the experience, our food came cold. To conculde, we had to pack our meals and leave because we did not like the vibe she was giving us. It was noted and unnecessary. Our entire dining experience there was terrible. To make Jessica a better server I would suggest she change her attitude and the way she approaches customers. We were greeted with a serious face.

  • As a long time employee i have seen the good bad and ugly of all at the bjs in Cupertino. Standards have fallen very short from gold standard at this location. Promises of growth and setting eachother up for sucess are not the terms of bjs anymore. Rodney Winstead is slowly driving that location into the ground. His relentless ability to punish those without completely comprehending the entire situation is poor management and will result in action taken against the company as a whole.

  • I sit here writing to you as a concerned cook that worked 4 day for your company and I am not educated have no degree in anything but I do love food and I am very passionat about cooking food the things that I saw in one of your locations made me very sad and it broke my heart to see the the miss use of food and the ignorance of the complete staff about food please I only write to you because I am a very poor man I save a whole month to take my family out to eat and if I was met with the kind of poor food quality I was met with I would just never eat out to a sit down place ever on the line you have a lot of confidant kids with big mouths that in the end sacrifice speed over quality I know that you are a big company but I urge no I challenge you to supprise all your locations to see how they actually run your restaurants I trust you as I would trust any one that if I the investor was paying a manger a good salary to run my investment they should represent every aspect of my company the complete lac of leadership in this restaurant makes me sad I'm my short career at ur location when did we forget to have or show a bit of passion for what we do I m only an simple cook that is very confidant in his art with much respect and appreciation I hope that not now but one day we can all have passion for our trade think of how much more profit your company can make and how much bigger of a wait you had if you had some one with leadership to empower everyone in the restaurant to have some kind of passion for their work again i trust you to please please bring back the pride and joy to work as a simple ignorant line cook that loves to make people happy by cooking fast clean and very precise I don't know much but trust me I do know my food maybe some day I can have a great feeling to know that everyone had integrity in their skill

  • Management in Aurora, Co namedJake is rude and offered no solution to my problem. I dined and then ordered food to go and when I arrived home, the food did not taste well. I called in to explain this to him and he proceeded to tell me numerous times that I "should have never ordered to go and I should have eaten my food in the restaurant". I told him that his response was not very customer friendly and he proceeded with "well what else would you like for me to say because there's nothing I can do". I ended the call promptly. I am informing you guys that after frequenting BJs Brewhouse at least once a month for 4 years in s row, I will never visit again.
