Oh, I see that my comment must be approved. Doesn't surprise me.
I have a Jeep Compass, 2019 with just under 8000 miles. The alternator needs to be replaced for 1500 dollars. Warranty ran out in March. It's now April. I bought a new car just to avoid these kinds of costly repairs. I will never purchase a Chrysler vehicle again. I am not even allowed to talk to a service technician as I was told that technicians can not talk to customers. I can not even begin to describe the distress I feel. I am a senior citizen who lost my husband this year and living on social security. Totally outrageous for a car with such little mileage to need such costly repairs.
I have had nothing but warranty issues after warranty issues since January 2021 with the Chrylser Dealership in Camrose, AB. It never fails that everytime I take it in for an oil change, they find something wrong that has to do with the warranty. I bought a used 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, it had 119,000 KM's on it when I purchased it and now has 153,000 KM's. This latest was the head gasket cover, they received the part and installed it, took it for a test run and boom, my engine is blown. They have admitted to pulling a pin from the drive train that should not have been pulled twice and one other dealership in another town had pulled it, therefore weakening it and it snapped. They order the new engine and give me a Durango with summer tires to drive in a Canadian winter, they are slow coming with updates and when you finally do get to speak to someone, you can hear the dread in their voice like I am just an inconvenience. My truck went in on October 25th, 2021 and I just now have been told (only because I called again) that they finally received the parts today and was in the shop, and I may see it Thursday. To say the least, I am done with Chrysler/Dodge, you have lost my business and any recommendations I would have sent your way. Foreign brands are the only way to go if you want quality product and service.
Chrysler reneged on their lifetime powertrain warranty. As instructed by Mike MacDonald (Exec Referral Manager) at our expense we had the vehicle towed to a dealership. He stated once the inspection was completed on it he would reinstate our warranty. This was the first red flag as we were told we had completed everything we needed to keep our warranty active. Once this was completed Mr. MacDonald came back and said he was not going to reinstate our warranty because the cost of the repairs out weighed the value he place on our vehicle. He was told that price was subjective and I can assure it had a higher value to us. I was not aware nor could find this loop hole in any paperwork we had. Chrysler mislead and lied to the customer about their advertised lifetime warranty, which was the reason we purchased the vehicle. It is not fair that the customer is at a lost due to the false advertisement.
A Chrysler/Jeep dealership in Payson, AZ is performing unapproved work on vehicles and then charging the customer more money.
Chapman Payson Auto Center performed unapproved work on my vehicle that I did not authorize and was not even what it was in the shop for. They added more than $200 of work to my invoice without my approval and then tried to charge me for it.
Upon picking up my vehicle, a mechanic had to jump start my Jeep to drive it to me. He stated someone must have left the ignition on. Service and also the Sales Manager told me it was my responsibility to replace my own battery and sent me on my way; denying a replacement. The battery was less than 6 months old and the voltage was perfect when I dropped it off. No mention of a dying or dead battery the entire 2 weeks they had it. It started everytime they moved it in and out of their bays and also in the lot. It was also "good" in their 50-point inspection they supposedly performed.
Fraud dealership and unethical mechanics. ASE should be aware of what these Master mechanics are up to.
I purchased a Chrysler Pacifica August 2018 from Firkins Dealership in Bradenton FL. I broke down on the highway June 2019 with no prior indication of issues almost getting hit by a semi truck. March 2020 I was in a roundabout when the Van shut off again without any indications prior almost causing a cement truck to rear end me. June 2020 I was going up a hill and right as I got up over the hill the vehicle once again shut off completely without any indications. ALL THREE TIMES batteries were replaced and reassured problem was fixed by 2 different Chrysler dealerships. I want a buyback. I want out of this death trap!!! I have 5 children put into Jeopardy because of this lemon! Its like a game of Russian Roulette driving this vehicle now. I have been blessed to not been hit and I am not waiting for a 4th time!! I need someone to resolve this issue expeditiously.
How many times this Chrysler Motor gone into deep water due greediness and mismanagement? They're making some respectable vehicles so far but there launching of there new model model often time deceptive. Take Renegade, it's a good car. They open market MSRP is $17-18 k. You go the dealer. They'll give you mathematical jargon and price $ 36k. Now what happened, flop down. Here's another, The Jeep Gladiator, it's outrageously over price. $43-62k. The technology not even comparable to Tacoma, Subaru, Audi or any in the market on the same class. Are you out of your mind?
I am writing because someone has gotten hold of my information to buy a car without my consent and I want to know what are you going to do about this matter.
I have a 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with 80000 miles on it and the cam failed. Apparently this is a common problem and was told the motor needed to be replaced. I believe if you know this is an issue you should be doing something to correct this issue. the cam and the lifters are eating each other up. I have heard and researched multiple cases of this happening and depending on which dealership you go to you can either have it repaired or replace the motor. absolute crap that you haven't addressed this issue
for the engineer or what we automotive techs like to refer to them as educated idiots with no common sense! the ones that designed the cars with the battery behind the bumper need to go back to school and learn some common sense because he's a damn idiot and even the Chrysler certified techs think it was the stupidest design ever!!!
