I applied for a fema position and received a call from Teesha for an interview in Fort Myers. I let them know I lived in Pensacola Florida and they still wanted to interview me as long as I could make it there. I made it to the interview Teesha took my Id which included my military ID and I filled out alot of paperwork then she said they would be mailing out letters and when I receive it to contact her so she could set up a time for fingerprinting. U had asked her did I pretty much have the job (travel voucher specialist)? She said yes as long as my background came back good. Now mind you I live in Pensacola so in order to receive this letter I would need to be in Pensacola.
Teesha called a week later around 5pm cst and asked if I could make it for the next day for fingerprinting. It was very short notice and I had not received no letter. I confirmed I would be there between 2 and 3 pm and she said fine we are here till 7.
As I was on my way to Fort Myers halfway through my trip Teesha called and stated all the positions were filled but she could extend a possible csr position. I declined and Teesha stated that she knew I was not right for the position.
I am the wife of a diabled vet which takes a priority over civilians on hiring. I feel deceived and sabotaged for this position from Teesha. To do this to anyone after I had made necessary arrangements to get this position.
I am hopeful that she and possible her manager will be disciplined for their actions in this matter. I was looking forward to this job and helping people get back on their feet.
Thank you
