The store you have in Dothan Al is horrible. The staff there (mostly the men) make fun of customers and the other staff where they can be heard by customers. One time a customer was at a register waiting while one of the young girl staff members was cutting fabric for another customer…she asked the manager who was walking by to help the lady at the register and he said he was busy and walked off. The lady at the register left without buying anything. The manager has been rude to me so I rarely shop there anymore. I actually sent an email to your customer service and never got a reply.
Closing the Fairview Heights, IL store is a tragedy in many ways and especially to those of us whom will now have to drive through St. Louis City to get to two stores that remain open. The Fairview Heights/O'Fallon, IL store is miles away from those other stores and is in the most robust development area in all of Illinois and bordering areas of other states. Years ago I had to travel hours to the nearest Hancock Fabrics and now I am back to that as I refuse to be held ransom by high-priced specialty stores and the only fabric chain (very long waits for cutting) in our area. That is time I could spend being productive on my sewing machine. Someone sold your corporation a bad bill of goods in determining to close our local Hancock Fabrics Store and in such a great area with real growth and potential.
You are guilty of false advertising at your Gaithersburg, MD store. Please remedy this situation for your current President's Day Sale.
The store in Roseville Minnesota on Larpentaur near Lexington has been a God send. Very helpful people, seems like it has been fairly busy, but alot of people including myself and my kids are going to miss it. JoAnn Fabrics is too far away to be handy. MillEnd fabrics closed up their local store so, really, there is no where else to go. Wish they would leave this store open. Michaels in HarMar is nice but doesn't carry what Hancock does or did. Thanks for all the years of friendship and help.
I have made multiple calls to official site to order. Answering machine, last time took three days to return call. If you are going to have a business needs to be run more effectively
Please Please relocate the store that you are currently closing in Davenport, Iowa! I have heard from hundreds of people say they are very sad that this store is closing and they have shopped there for 10 – 20+ years, that they love the staff and the quality of the Fabric and variety. Yes we have a Joann's and Hobby Lobby but those have Crafts and not much fabric variety nor the expertise in sewing like this store. You are closing a jewel of a store. Granted the store needs some updating but please find another place! Thank you, Deb Boatman, Diamondesigns@gmail.com
Please, please, please, we need a Hancock store in Georgetown, Texas. Preferably close to Parmer Lane and 1431. Please. I have to drive so far to get to a store or go to the Hobby Lobby store. Thank you.
I feel we can do a very simple thing to improve customer service. Simply alerting our customers when we are about to close and having a closed sign on the door will do wonders. It saves people parking, getting out in the weather only to find the door locked. It will also reduce the chance of stores going over hours. Speaking of hours, I found that an average store needs at least 200 scheduled hours to keep 3 staff members at all times. Not including before and after opening. Having only one or two staff members on duty creates a haven for shoplifters.
Hancock's usually has the store hours on the door or very close by on the windows as you are going in…. I have found it better to drive by to check the times at the front….so I don't make a extra walk and find it is close..
I know that it is to late for you to keep the store open but, consideration must be given to stay in this area. We have used that store since it has been here and you have always had a great staff working at this store. Yes we got a JoAnns but it does not serve the needs of Grandview, Belton Raymore area. It has a lot of craft things if you are in that but material nothing like Hancock nor do they have the Staff. These women have always treated each of us like there friends and we will miss this store. Please consider opening another store in the same area we need a Hancock Fabric store and always will. No Indep. Mo is too far and so is the Metcalf store. we want to shop local and we are all praying that you will consider your customers and well as your staff. The shopping Center I don't care about but Hancock and staff I do. Thank you again for your consideration Happy Belton Mo customer
I would like to thank you for having a store here in Milwaukee Wisconsin that had everything I needed to upholster. Your ladies on Highway 100 and Oklahoma Avenue were wonderful. I was recommended by a friend who has won national awards with her sewing. She gave me the tip about your store, and boy was she right. I have just finished step one, and without the help of your staff, I would still be chasing all over Milwaukee. I was there yesterday 9/11/2014, around 1pm. Please do not close your doors, as there are people who still sew, upholster, and need stores like yours in Wisconsin. Again, thank your staff in Milwaukee for all their help.
