I live in the Palisades and noticed the new Kitson store. I find them to be fun and unique. The only consideration I would offer is if there are products with pictures or words not suitable for children that those items are in a place where they cannot see them. There will be a lot of families going through your store, and I think you will get less of a pushback if those items are tucked away. I believe in the freedom of speech and expression, but with kindness and responsibility.
