  • COMPLAINT – how L- O – N – G does it make to make one (1) Sandwich?

I had to reset my watch time this morning before going to Kneader's to order a sandwich "to go". Usually we drive thru the drive-thru, but even though it was 11:30 am, the drive-thru was busy, but few cars parked outside. I decided to go inside to not only save TIME, but save GASOLINE (at the price it is now, we waste so much just being in-line. To say the least — my inside experience was NOT GOOD! After waiting, standing, sitting, standing some more, and looking at all the neat stuff available to purchase while there, I finally saw all the cars had left — all the people who came in after I did had received their order(s), I decided I would ask for a refund and go to the other Kneader's in town.

FINALLY, no one waiting for me or concerned about me — an employee asked what she could do for me. All this time my husband, who has terminal illness, is waiting in the HOT car for me. It was 12 noon at this time. The lady asking what she could do, asked me if I paid by credit card. I did. She was going to refund my money – when the employee that took my order rounded the corner with a Kneader's bag, letting me know my sandwich was ready.

There was much more verbal exchange, but I took the sack and left, telling them that in the future I would not be returning to that store, but I would go to the other instead.

Upon arriving home to have our sandwich, I opened the container and saw pieces of boiled EGG inside, the sandwich looked like it had been thrown together. Even when we ate, it has an unusual taste, and my husband and I both got sick to our stomachs after we had enough. There were no napkins inside the bag, by the way.

I just wanted to air my complaint. Most times we wait, and wait, and wait at both of our St. George stores thru the drive-thru. This is ridiculous!

  • Corporate office certainly seems to be trying to hide from the public. I have tried calling multiple times and if you don't know an extension number you are asked to leave a message but the machine hangs up. Especially troubling with the only thing the person at the store says is call the corporate office with any questions or complaints and judging from your reviews there are plenty of complaints. • Oh…sorry one more piece to the above comment. This was just not on one occasion but multiple ones over the last few months.

  • I am wondering what is going on at your Logan, Utah location. There seems to have been a mass exodus of all the people that had worked there for a number of years. What is left are non-courteous, untrained in customer service employees. I've gone there for a number of years, ordering typically a few limited items on the menu. It's pretty bad when I know the menu options better than the person taking my order. And, I'm assuming your manager (she see was the one who had to answer all the cashier's questions about my order) is a young lady who really might want to dress like she is the manager of a restaurant and not going out for an evening. I really don't need to see that much of someone's "ladies" and cleavage tatoo when I go for breakfast. Additionally the food has become a little subpar. It's unfortunate that for whatever reason all the employees who kept this a solid place to dine are all gone.

  • I have always liked Kneaders. In the past year I have gone vegan for health reasons and find it very difficult to eat there now. Almost everything as meat, eggs or dairy in it. I would love to see a veggie based soup without dairy. Sandwiches and salads can often accommodate special requests and omit meat or cheese, but ready made items like soup or desserts are hard. There are more and more people eating this way and it think it would be a great service to have more vegan friendly options. Thanks.

  • Hello,

We took our service dog with today to get lunch at the kneaders in Lehi today. Our dog detects when someone is going to have a seizure , she was wearing her service dog vest and license . My. Kids and I sat at the area of the restaurant that was empty as to not disturb those who don't like dogs, a older couple came in and sat next to us clearly seeing the dog and her vest and license, as they were leaving they approached us and told us they were uncomfortable eating in a place that allowed dogs. I explained that I occasionally have seizures and she can detect when I'm going to have one , I told them that she was a service dog and was allowed to be there with me. They told me in front of my kids that people like me need to stay home because a dog in an establishment that serves food is disgusting. They said they were going to call and complain. I was hurt and boggled by what these people said to me. I want to Thank the employees and manager who stood up for me and told me it was ok to eat there with my dog. Their kindness helped me through the rest of my day and taught my kids a lesson on understanding and sticking up for those in need. You guys are all awesome!! Thanks so much

  • I go to the Kneaders located at 6611 E McDowell Rd Mesa 85215 about 5 times a week. I will have to say the staff is outstanding especially Deana who goes out of her way to deliver top customer service. She should be complimented. The other ladies are also great. The only issue is consistency, especially in regards to the soup. Some days it is good and other days like today 10/14/16 the loaded bake potato soup seemed watered down or too watery and not very thick at all. I have other friends who have had the same issue with soups. The most important thing with a franchise is to make sure all of the stores have the same good products and the food quality is consistent. Maybe having a secret shopper from corporate might be helpful to see just what the true issue could be.

  • I had gone to Kneaders in Surprise AZ, and ordered the signature French toast. I've had it before and it was great. This time, it was just brushed on both sides with a smear of egg, and the entire middle was dry white bread. When I sent a message to Kneaders online, I received a reply from Andrew Evanko, apologizing, and asking me to return for a complimentary French toast. He explained they were training new people. I waited a month, and did come back with the email he sent. He stated they had my name on a list, and knew the issue. Well, the French toast was exactly the same, and when I told the Mgr on duty, she merely shrugged. I then emailed Kneaders online again, and told them of my latest experience, and how indifferent the staff was, and this time I received a reply from Alonso Castaneda. He didn't offer any explanation, only asked for my phone number. I sent it to him. Three days went by and nothing, so I emailed again, and this time gave him two numbers he could reach me at. Again he said he would call the next day. It's been three days again, and nothing. This rude and indifferent attitude is appalling. This Surprise Kneaders used to be a wonderful place to enjoy good food with friends and family. Not anymore. The food has gone downhill, and so had the attitude of the employees. I will not be returning to this place again.

  • I went to pick up lunch yesterday at the Ave B in Yuma Az location, I usually go there 3 to 4 times a month. I ordered 2 chicken ala mondo salad meals, they gave me the salads in a pastry size containers which were very small and my broccoli soup was cold. I got to work and called the manager Rachel, she stated that they're having issues getting the right salad containers and the salad amount was the same as the normal size container. That's not true, I used half the dressing and normally use it all. She wasn't helpful and I asked her for corp phone number, she said she didn't have it with her at the time. My lunch was ruined and so was my co-worker since she got the second meal. People who work with me saw the salads and said they were very small, smaller than usual. This has never happened before, and I'm upset with this situation.

  • To whom this may concern,

My name is Marvin Pale I have worked at your location in Arizona on highley and baseline greatest experience I've had with a food restaraunt I then moved to tempe location with general manager Steven Fulilangi . I've worked so hard for him also worked hard for this company aside from working 10 to 12 hour days and getting paid for about 4 hours only it was very exciting to work for this Amazing company but due to some situations going on I informed Steven about plenty of times and he never took in to consideration of what I was asking . I ve put in so much effort and I've sacrificed so much time in to this company just to get terminated when I was told I was being taken off the schedule . I would love to work for this company I asked Steven for a transfer but he never said anything about a transfer . If someone can help me out or hear me out I would love it .

  • I went into the Kneaders Bakery & Cafe located at 10112 W. McDowell Rd. Avondale Arizona around 4:35 pm on 11/14/2015. I was standing in line by the bakery counter waiting to be serve. The worker did not approach the counter until two other woman approach the counter. He asked them what they wanted. I immediately interrupted him and mentioned I was here first. He completely ignored me and I repeated it again…Accuse me I was here first! The customer turned to me and apology for him. I placed my order for two chocolate peppermint cake. The young man took my order. I waited for ten minutes before a young lady worker approach me and told me the cake had slanted and she could not sell the slices of cake to me. I personally feel I was discriminated by not recognizing my present as a customer and then not selling the cake to me because I spoke up for my rights!

  • First off I have never complained to a food chain. But I have been going to your Stone Oak location in San Antonio, TX at least once or twice a week for the 6 months never an issue and always extremely happy with service and food. However just this last month + I have ordered the soup w/ bread bowl previously no issues. Always given the bread bowl and soup…..about 3 weeks ago I ordered they were "out of bread bowls" ok no problem (I understand) I got alternative bread (ciabatta) and a cookie and apology for the issue. Told the girl no problem I understand. 2nd time at 11:30 am out of bread bowls again….again substituted bread not really a problem….no cookie, no apology. 3rd time I ordered what kind of bread would you like for your side? My complaint is paying $1.50 extra for bread that isn't a bread bowl that or just change your menu don't advertise "bread bowl" just say "bread". Now today same location I ordered a full Turkey, Bacon, Avocado salad I paid $8 something (asked if I wanted receipt I said no) I get to work open it up it's in the small bowl I am assuming the 1/2 size(because in different food bowl) not one piece of turkey in the entire salad 3 (grape tomatoes, 3 slices of avacado, and 1 1/2 pieces of bacon at most…..
So either you have new management or cutting costs (i understand) but NO TURKEY in a TURKEY salad???????
I'm not sure I'm up for 5th time of getting the shaft. Someone needs to address the management at that location I have noticed a lack of business at noon….when you should be swamped so maybe corporate needs to do a surprise visit.

  • I visited your location in Avondale last night and I am thoroughly disgusted. It was around 9pm so I,am guessing close to closing time. I placed my order and as the cashier proceed to call to the cook he stood on the other side of the short wall picking his nose….Obviously embarrassed I felt obligated to say something as he was getting ready to prepare my food. He washed his hands and put gloved on…..too late the thought couldn't be erased from my mind. I got my order only to find that it was incorrect as one of the salads was missing chicken. That same cook who had since started to clean the kitchen used his same dirty gloves to prepare my chicken. I was done at that point, I have never witnessed such unsanitary practices….tried calling the manager the next day twice but was not available. Long story short I wasted my money, it was too hard to erase what I had seen. Only my second time visiting Kneaders….needless to say it is also my last.

  • I have been trying to get a rewards card since January of this year. I was told you were getting a new system which took a couple of months. I have ordered lunches and promised to have the receipts added once the system is up. The manager of the City Creek Kneaders in Utah has promised to mail me a scanned card that will work but I have never received it. I have called so many times I am tired of calling. What does it take to get the rewards card and get credit for the orders I have placed?

  • I was paid $6/hour while working at the Kneaders in Park City, UT when I was promised $9.50/hour. I don't know how to fix this, but I'm getting real sick of being treated like garbage while working 10 hour days.

  • I just experienced the rudest and most unprofessional customer service from a General Manager at the 5083 W 13400 S, Riverton, Utah 84096 location. I called to report that I was charged 3 times on my visit last week. He refused to get any information in which to trace the transaction or research. Told me if I wanted to complain to go to the Corporate web site and file a complaint there.
You also need to train your staff to ASK FOR A LOYALTY CARD before they ring up transactions. Yes I know it's also the customer's responsibility to provide it. Your terminal software isn't set up to add it back after the transaction though. And with the penny on the dollar you get on the card, it should be something available.
This store and possibly chain lost my business FOREVER. And I live very close to it making it very convenient to do business.
I have contacted the Corp. Office to complain about this !kid! aka "General Manager".

  • I want to thank Kneaders for selecting my Pumpkin Bar Recipe at the winner on October 30th, 2014. It is quite an honor and I am thrilled.
