  • To Whom It May Concern:

    My name is Diane Pritchard and I am a member of LA Fitness in Lexington, KY. I attend group classes there three days a week. Last night, April 2, 2018, the attached photos show the condition of the equipment room when we arrived for the 5:45 p.m. class. Apparently the floors had been cleaned (first time I can remember them being cleaned in the four years I have been a member), and the cleaning crew haphazardly tossed all of the equipment into the room. Neither the cleaning crew nor any LAF staff member bothered to clean up the mess before classes began. After I threw a fit to the manager (whose name I can't recall,) three LAF staff members organized the equipment. As you can see from the attached photographs, we could not even get to the mats.

    Additionally, as you will see from the attached photographs, the equipment is in deplorable condition. The weights are losing their protective covers and the mats are torn and ripped. About 4-5 weeks ago I mentioned all of this to the manager (the same one I spoke to last night) and she "was not aware of the condition of the weights because she never went back there." And when I mentioned the condition of the mats, she said "I just got some in, but I haven’t put them out yet." To date, there are still no new mats.

    As you will see from the photos, the classes are always full (24 people last night at 5:45 pm) and there is never enough equipment. We never have enough mats and we are constantly searching other rooms for 7.5 lbs weights. Many times the instructor's microphone does not work and there is only one fan in the room. There are times when the air conditioner is not working properly and that one fan just does not help.

    I enjoy the classes and the instructors thoroughly. But the condition of the gym is inexcusable. If we are paying our monthly dues, what does that money go to? It is obviously not to used purchase new equipment.

    I am happy to discuss these matters with you further, and welcome any response you have. Your immediate attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. I hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you.

     
  • 3/19/2018 for all the letters corporate receives it's clear they will do nothing to keep customers happy. The Somerdale NJ gym still doesn't have noodles for the pool, the t.v. system and equipment are old, don't properly work. One man repairs several gyms instead of one per. Few variety in classes, still no evening Pilate.

     
  • I am a member of LA Fitness right off Pembroke Pines 184 ave. in Fl. I can not disagree with anybody's comment. That Gym is a disaster, the restrooms are nasty dirty, the area where the machines and all the cardio equipment is smell like rotten eggs. The carpet is all dirty and wet. They need to do a serious repair on that facility. Please corporate office do something to bring to your customers the best service,.

     
  • Stoughton Mass club, I received an email about a substitute instructor, who rarely shows up and no email about this cancellation. Also the gym was closed yesterday due to a fire and again the club does not send out an email about the club being closed. This is just common curtesy

     
  • My wife and I have been members of LA Fitness for over 17 years. We live in the Phoenix area and have been to several Gyms in their system. We have noticed that the service and cleanliness of the Gym has gone down hill fast over the past two years. It is awful, I leave the Gym to go to the restroom over at the QT because they never clean the place. We are looking for a new gym at this time. Goodbye LA.

     
  • Ummm….. Where do I start, I,ve been a member at LA Fitness(Hempstead Tpk in Levittown) for the past 2 1/2 yrs. i Drag my self to go there even tho i love to work out, but it's just impossible to concentrate when you see so much filthyness goin around, the carpet is disgusting, everything is disgusting machines are always dirty which i always clean all the time before i use them, but its hard to clean when sometimes all the paper towels are empty so i have to walk around to every single one to get some towels. i usually take classes but everytime i go in to take the class, the room is filthy everything is all over the floor, mats all over, weights in the middle of the room. its hard to concentrate when theres all these distractions goin around, the worst is when im taking a class and people jus come in, in the middle of the class to try to find weights or whatever they are looking for, that's so disrepectful to everyone who's taking the class and mostly the instructor step stools are a disgrace, they're all worned out, ripped. kthe only reason i keep goin there is because i paid in advanced otherwise i wouldn't walk in there or recommend anyone at all.

     
  • LA Fitness – criminal. I cancelled my membership about 16 months ago over the phone. They said no problem they would take care of it. I recently checked my bank records, I don't do the money in our family, and they have been taking $29.95 out of my bank account every 4 weeks. NOT monthly, every 4 weeks which gets them an extra payment from you! As far as I can research they have stolen $750 +/- from my bank account. They say they have no records of this phone call so there is nothing they can do. I cancelled the same time as my husband but he did his on line. You would think in over a year at some point they cross reference the number of times per week you use your membership and possibly send an e-mail with IDK marketing info. But of course that would make you think and then you would check on your cancelled membership. I even went on line to look at membership payments and I had "NO ACCOUNT"! Still she said there was nothing she could do. LA FITNESS IS BAD!!!!!!!! Criminal!!! Stealing from people. I will make sure I put this on the internet every chance I have and verbally tell everyone I know to run away from their shady practices!! shame of them. $750!!!!!

     
  • How does your LA FITNESS Oxford Valley facility in PA get away with allowing a male plumber to work in the Ladies Room while women are using it during hours?Not onlyy was this allowed for 1 day but 2 days. Please let me know what code of conduct, Human Resource course,Business ethics, morals, and common sense procedures you are following.

     
  • The email on this site is not working and the toll free number is disconnected. Reaching the corporate office is not easy and thus one can conclude they are not interested in having feedback from the client base. I have attempted twice to cancel my membership at my branch and there is no one available. However, if I wanted to subscribe a service, there are at least five people there to help me.
