  • I have worked at Labor Ready in Norwalk, CT for 10 years. When I first started there it was a very good office! However, when the staff changed it became very bad place to work. Favoritism and Nepotism became commonplace.
😢Also around 2010, they started using👌👌 the local halfway house for felons to work there. Alot of stealing and menacing came with them.
As a whole I would say Labor Ready is a great organization, IF you are honest and Hard Working!!!💖

  • The Labor Ready office location on Commercial Blvd. in Oakland Park/Fort Lauderdale, FL is a HUGE problem to the local businesses in the area. The office attracts large groups of homeless individuals as well as recently released criminals from the local jails. These "individuals" not only sleep on private property they also urinate, defecate, vandalize the places too. Also, a lot of the day labor who actually have vehicles they drive? Park their cars on private property too (often times the homeless will sleep overnight in the vehicles too). And, when you catch these people doing any and/or all of the above that I mentioned? They become very confrontational, dangerous and threatening (those "individuals" really should watch themselves because some people know how to defend themselves and are also licensed to conceal and carry as well). This issue has been ongoing and the (so-called) "managers" at the location either ignore the complaints or refuse to do ANYTHING about the huge problem that is being told to them by the owners of all the local businesses in the area. They also have the attitude of "It's not my problem". I guess that the situation is going to have to boil over and/or explode into violence or perhaps group vigilantism from the fed up Business and Home owners in the area for it to be properly resolved.

  • The branch I'm at flagged me and lied about why they flagged me!! So because of her not liking me, she's trying to put me out if work and has been for a while. She only gives jobs to her favorites. If i won't work a Seahawk game, apparently im not good enough for this branch!. I've worked for this company for over 10 years and have never been flagged. Bremerton, WA branch is a joke!

  • Have been with the company for about 2 months now and have only been sent out a hand ful off times. They insisted I try thier app since it gives you a dollar more an hour and lets you dispatch yourself out. Well on top of being told that any position I click on thenapp is full all the time and figitng to get that extra dollar an hour I am also having issues with the fact somebody can call and be placed on a list and have my name bumped off be ause they are a regular. And lets not even get in the fact of jennifer in the west broad st columbus office who hangs up on people and ignors them at the desk. And also if you are mxican or asian dont even bother trying to get a job. You will be over looked in a heart beat.

  • This seems to be the trend across the nation…I first worked at the S.Norwalk, CT branch in 2004.The branch manager then was help and resourceful, and his dispatchers were good.
They always put everyone to work! I learned how to do so many things there, but as time went by, and new dispatchers came, they became rude, combative and played favorites. Is there some kind of teasing they have to go through? There should be,not everyone can handle dealing with the public in a customer service representive role.
I left the branch in Norwalk ct be ause of this, and I've never felt better.
The dispatchers should be trained to represent Labor Ready in a positive and creative fashion!!! Goodluck, guys!!!

  • I went through the same thing at the South Norwalk, CT branch. The first three dispatchers we had were wonderful. They did not play favorites, and they would see that you got to the job sites even if they had to close the office, and drive us to the jobs.
After they left, the next two dispatchers must have been recruited from the local prison, jack. They were rude, crude, stinky, and ill tempered. They played favorites to their friends and family members. I remember going to the office at 5:00 in the morning in 9 degree weather, to sign the list on the number two spot, just to sit there all morning and watch them send out people who walked in 2 hours after I did!
What happened to "we put people to work"? I was always taught not to bring your personal problems to work with you – so why did they???

  • the manager dominic in the pawtucket ri branch 1871 is the worse. he is totally unqualified for his position, does not work for the workers of this branch at all. he is unethical, he discriminates, he lies, he does not follow any procedures or policies of the labor ready company and has made this branch intolerable. i cant understand how it is still in business? he will pay one worker a ton of overtime while not sending others out who were asked back at certain jobs, he can not be trusted with any thing that comes out of his mouth. until corporate cares nothing is going to change and thats to bad because lives do change here, lives can get better, but everyone has to follow the rules. even managers. we even recently had two dedicated workers die and this branch did not care less to even get a card. what kind of company is this? throwing peoples boots out, because they were in a tupperware in the office. well where do you think this tupperware came from? the staff before you, because there was a need. but what do you care? i have story after story of issues this branch has due to the lack of professionalism the manager has. until dominic is gone, alot wont be returning. thats a shame.

  • I ran into the same problem in Norwalk, Ct. The old dispatchers were professional, there was plenty of work for everyone.
When they left, two new ones were hired to man the phones, and they lied, cheated people out of work, and put their friends and family on all the jobs!
The economy is bad enough, and these two just make life a little more miserable!

  • I work a global company and im trying to contact 5 temp employess from labor ready in Norcross, Ga ( branch manager Charles Young ). I have been calling numerous of times to hear, he's not in the office, he will get back to you, he's in a meeting. I think they have caller i.d because now, no one is answering the phones. This is a complete joke and very unprofessional. You folks need to get it together and hire better staff. If this was my company that i was contracting for, i would never use labor ready ever again. Labor ready is thee worst

  • I think it is an awful shame when you have certain dispatchers that skirt and abuse the position.
It makes it hard for everyone – but in this day and age, what else is new, huh!!?

  • I don't wish any ill well on no one bUT if maybe people would take a few minutes and put themselves on someone else shoes for once the world would be a better place.

  • Right on! Fife, WA. They make their living off the work WE perform. While they sit in air conditioning in summer, and heat in winter… We are the guys and girls putting food on their table. If they could only realize this and treat us with the dignity and respect we all deserve for working there, it would be a beautiful thing! My suggestion… I hope they all CHOKE!!!

  • I have dealt with Labor Ready in Fife Washington. The staff is very rude Shelly being the main one. Just out right rude. There is no level of professionalism in that office at all. You work for them and they pay you when they get ready. If you call to inquire about your payment you don't get any straight answers on top of the flat out rudeness and lies. On several occasions I have waited over 3 days for payment, and I'm not counting the weekend. To bad no one at this huge company cares about their employees or their clients enough to treat people with kindness and respect. Needless to say but I would never recommend anyone to do business with this company on any level l.

    • Still waiting on pay from 4 days ago. Even spoke to Kevin Farris the new manager of the office. He told me he would handle my payments. Needless to say guess he cares just as much as his staff. Leadership comes from the top and runs to the bottom but if you dont have any leadership at all the whole ship will sink.

    • unknown: you have to file a wage claim against them. that will get them rolling. wage claims cost the company tons of money.

  • This is all you can expect today, what with the new generation of "millennials" we ALL are forced to endure.
I'm a baby boomer, and I'm very proud of this. WE all know how to get things done the right way, unlike the majority of today's generation. What will happen when all the boomers die out???

    • I'm complaning about concord California office! Very unprofessional staff! Rude ! Has favorites go out everyday! I sit all week! ! I worked there on and off for awhile!! Everyone went to Labor max ! Command center! Lost accounts! !!! Has bad reputation! Some employees manager are friends I could go forever!! This branch needs help

  • I have been a customer of labor ready longer than you have worked for them. unless you have been there more than 21 years. You hire out the dregs, the meth heads, the drunks. God Bless You!! I have called within 2 hours many a time for replacements for workers who could not operate a flat shovel. I am working with Gregory Cladwell out of the Albany NY office. I need a couple laborers to help me tear down a small deck. He qoutes me $30 per hour based on the comp code 9521, a code that deals with window dressers and upholsters? I can get a finish carpenter for $27 an hour. Do his guys have the same skill set and ability? So at $30 an hour I can leave your guys with my power tools and come back in 3 hours to take my loaded truck to the dump?? I'm ROFLMAO too. So in the end, is management on the same plane as your workers? By the way still waiting on a call from Gregory, will he make the sale??

  • I work for labor ready in st louis missouri and worked for weekly pay and haven't received my pay and when I call them daily about it they tell me they dont know about my money and when im gonna receive it but sends me jobs daily to still work and they are very rude and never have any answers for you

  • 3 weeks now, I have been trying to get a job a labor ready. They claim to place people in jobs, provide training if they lack the skills- to build up both their resumes and skills. I found this to be a lie. I even went to employee customer service and was danced around to my,current unemployment. Location: Chattanooga. I do hope not all locations operate the same. My experience. Be aware. driver4hire73@gmail.com

    • from all these posts i am reading and my own personal experience, they all run the same and im shocked this company is still in business and hasnt experienced a law suit of any kind.

  • I work for labor ready in bangor maine and i drive so i get trans pay but every other day they forget to put in on my card and also when we get back it takes over an hour to get paid out with this new pay thing they got it sucks

  • I'm not here to bash labor ready but here in Arizona there are a lot of homeless people I myself is homeless but I was lucky enough to stay with my sister but I just want you all to know when we go out there and bust our buts for a few dollars we need our money it states same day pay not three days later so.e of us depend on that to eat or feed our children or supply a place to stay what ever the case maybe so don't play with people money if they do the job pay them labor ready don't want to be the cause of someone's deaf just pay people what they are owed when they have completed the job labor ready money don't get held up off each person u put too work so don't hold there money thank you for reading hope things get a little better with tru blu labor readies in arizona

  • I started Labor Ready in 2004. My first branch manager was a man named Joe. This guy would drive us to a jobsite if there was no transportation available. And one time he even worked with us to finish a job!
About 2008 two new dispatchers were hired. Two Hispanic ones. All their friends and relatives got ALL the work. I was in the office one morning with 5 other guys, praying that I'd at least get 4 hours of work. Sure enough the phone rang asking for 4 workers, and the Hispanic woman got on her cellphone and called 4 of her friends to come to work when there were 5 of us sitting there in the office! Needless to say I went home!!!
It is the Branch Managers and the Dispatchers that set the TONE and FLOW of the workplace. When you have Hostile and Rude ones-everyone LOSES!
I was blessed to have a good one for awhile, and I still use the knowledge and skills I learned at my new career to this day! You go, Labor Ready! Go Boy!!!

  • I hear you. When new dispatchers came to branch 1818 in south Norwalk CT, the same thing. They took care of their friends and family first. Our old dispatchers were the best, everyone was treated with DIGNITY!!!

  • Ive,been working for the 1527office and never had a problem getting work now I don't even work at all Gulillermo Wil casillas,is never on time when he lives in the valley, also I've did a background check when I first applied, then I was cleared for the landfill I had a repeat Gulillermo, didn't send me out the next day I was given another one to feel out since then,I've been denied access to the landfill, which is the only job they have going on at this time, I also emailed you about my w2form and no one has responded to that Guillermo, shouldn't be in charge of given someone a job, cause he pick who should work and who shouldn't, it's not fair to the guy who's been sitting there all morning waiting for him to open up

  • Branch 1818 in South Norwalk, CT used to be the BEST! Never had to wait, the dispatchers would clean out the office(send out everyone who came in)first, then make phone calls. This all changed when A.C. started dispatching. Absolutely one of the worst human beings on this planet. He is sneaky, and always makes sure his relatives get work, WOW!Explain that one, why don'tcha!

  • This is possibly the worst company on earth.. Try answering your phone when you have new applicants filling out your confusing online start up forms my e signature has been pending for a week. Tried calling the office left messages for the last 4 days well 5 including today. You would think that someone would have called me back by now considering they make money off of getting other people work but here I am still waiting… WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Thank god I found a job today or I would still be (pending) waiting on Labor Ready… You guys will soon be out of business if you keep treating people like this.. I wouldn't wish this company on my worse enemy..

  • I used to work out of Branch 1818 in South Norwalk, CT. We had the best 2 dispatchers ever! Nancy and Syreeta! They won customer service trophies for 4 years straight. Also, our branch won an award for 5 years without an accident!
I learned how to do so many things in my 10 years at Labor Ready. I even got hired by a customer awhile back and left branch 1818.But, in 2009, Mary Nevis and Angel Castellano started dispatching. They would only send out their friends, family and favorites. I would sit in a chair every day for weeks, watching everyone else get work. They are the 2 sorriest KLOWNS I ever saw in my LIFE!I am glad I don't work there – but Labor Ready as a whole is a good place to go to learn how to work!
If you follow the core values -you will NEVER go Wrong. THANK U!
[Angel Castellano ruined a good branch- he isn't worthy as a human being. It is sad – but there's nothing I can do LEGALLY – to STOP angel castellano!]

  • I worked for them and went in to get paid Janice told me I would shortly ,well it didn't happen they closed up without notifying me anything. Here it is the next day still not payed .I contacted her this morning I wanted to work today at the same location but didn't have the funds to get there she tol me give her 15 min and I would be paid and also would send me a message it's hours later no pay no message location(1436)

  • I used to work at a wonderful branch in South Norwalk, CT! The dispatchers and Branch Managers were the best! I have since moved on in my career, but the knowledge and skills I have gained at Labor Ready Branch 1818 will always follow me, and make me a more competent, safe and skillful addition to any workforce on this planet!
Thanks! guys for helping me Grow!!!

  • Don't you drug test your temps before sending them on a job. And can your employees tell a temp to use their spouses car knowing that their separated. And do you only have 1 driver to two passengérs in the car and they know its too many drivers.this is at the Lawton Labor Ready . And the temps smoke weed on the job site. And you have temps sleeping or stealing things from the job site.

  • They should put a camera behind the desk to keep an view of there phone calls and internet use.I herd them talking about my son?,mother and purchas history. So a group is talking about me? <which is something to think about.or there sharing my personal info? Either way its being missed used. So if someone listens to my phone conversations and talks about it to someone else? Trust seems to be a major issue.

  • Im just wondering how much these dispatchers share your information. Paycard, social security, drivers liscense info? I mean thats alot of information we trust them with. I mean they got cam err as on them but is it to protect them or is it to protect us. Who's in the more vulnerable position?

  • COLUMBUS OH

e concern I have is the lack of concern of pay. I work for this company yet there is a problem with getting the right amount owed after doing the work. Im on a weekly ticket and find that I cant get paid when I need to because of incorrect hourly payment. There isnt a problem with me reporting to work why is there a problem with paying me the correct hourly amount.
Joe's response rude, uncaring and commented "its not that much money."

  • Two different occasions I was contacted to work for the week end and responded immediately only to wait for 5 hours both times and the first time was told they filled the position and second time they never responded back to me .I never had problems with labor ready in any other state or city other than here in Tucson Arizona 6th Avenue branch. I am finished with you people and intend to smear your reputation.

  • IF YOU ARE A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER OF LABOR READY I SUGGEST YOU RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!

I am a project manager for a large real estate development company in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I just contacted the local Labor Ready office in Mesquite Texas and spoke to a woman named "Alex". I can tell you she was one of the rudest office personnel I have ever spoken with. She was screaming at me and simultaneously screaming at people in the office. I only wanted information about contracting with Labor Ready. She kept interrupting me and finally I had had enough and just disconnected the call. I will not use their services now. EVER. Labor Ready needs to do a better job with the quality of the people they hire.

  • Labor Ready in Tysons Corner Virginia is Sorry as anything The UGLY Devil woman name Jackie is a pure A Hole LOW LIFE person all she do is pick favorites and fire the people who stand up to her for the actions that she do. Anybody that goes here please beware of this LOW LIFE. IM about to Sue them for her discrimination.

  • I have taken their a behavioral test 3 different times in the course of 6 years and have failed at every attempt I am non qualified for work at Labor Ready and I have no idea why.they were for a plea of us who took the test and all 4 of us are not qualified to work I have no idea it seems like if your Not a drug addict and you don't lie you don't steal then you're not qualified for work…I have no idea seriously speaking how anybody passes I was as honest as any other person could be and I have failed at 3 attempts

    • Smh, well as they let people trash other peoples cars and smoke weed and leaving weed in the cars and sleeping on jobs, etc.

  • KANSAS CITY KS ON STATE AVENUE I have been to several temp agency and this is by far the worst and the worst paying one as well naideen the manager has not been helpful FOR SOME REASON THIS SPECIFIC MANAGER CHOOSES HER EMPLOYEES BASED ON RACE and the places they send us to treat us horribly because we are coming from labor ready THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN…IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE

  • The Labor Ready in Tallahassee is not fair or an equal opportunity employer for temporary work. The people that come in and sign in are the ones that should go out on an assignment but they hardly ever do.. They save tickets for people and call people from their house to see if they want to go on a ticket.

    • The Norwalk,CT office is the same… It used to be great but when the dispatchers changed… Its like CHUCKY and Nightmare on Elmstreet!

  • Pompano office employees are inept, inconsiderate and ignorant. I really do not want to get into too many specifics for fear of loosing what little work is sent my way. However, in the few short weeks I have been there, I have been lied to, given wrong directions, wrong or no equipment and payed a lower rate than what was printed on my ticket. There is much more but as I said, I'm afraid of losing what little work I do get.

  • unknown the labor ready in Aurora Colorado, are very unprofessional. they treat adults like kids locking, the bathroom so we cannot use it. I think something should be done about this situation, they are also located on alemeda and sable.

  • Undercover Boss should come to the St. Pete office. I bet Pete, Kevin, and Steve would learn to talk to and treat people with even a little bit of respect!! They wouldnt have their jobs if it werent for these people!!

  • I was terminated last week from pompano branch lord knows I hadn't been there in over three or four weeks but because my brother went off they fired us both I wasnt even present I went to get a ticket off another job and then I was told I had been terminated I cant belive these people

    • LABOR READY IN KANSAS CITY KS ON STATE AVENUE MANAGER NAME NAIDEEN IS TRYING THE SAME THING WITH ME AND I DO BELIEVE THAT IF WE ALL STICK TOGETHER AND TURN THEM INTO THE EEOC THESE SITUATIONS CAN BE DEALT N A PROPER WAY…..THEY SEND AWAY THE GOOD WORKERS AND KEEP THE DRUGIES
…BUT I HAVE FOUND OUT THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST TEMP AGENCY TO WORK FOR THEY ARE TRYING TO HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE FOR ME BEING HARRASSED AND ABUSED BY AN EMPLOYER THEY SENT ME TOO……THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN ….IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE AND I WILL DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE THAT HAPPENS

  • Labor Ready terminated me for speaking my mind and also terminated my friend girl who wasn't even up there she was home she had nothing to do with anything labor ready in pompano beach Florida 2301 n Dixie highway is not a good branch to work for they say best match dispatch but its really not.

    • Labor ready in kansas city ks manager naideen she has been rude everytime i come n and There doing the same exact thing to me
….WE ALL NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AND CALL THE EEOC…….AND THERE SISTER COMPANY IS SPARTAN STAFFING SO STAY AWAY FROM THEM TO.

  • I have recently relocated from Amarillo to El Paso Tx. have also worked in Tacoma Wa. with labor ready and have found some very good jobs with very good pay, since ive arrived in el paso I have been told that Labor Ready does not pay a prevailing wage and only pays the minimun (7.25). When i asked about this i was laughed at by the staff, I have also witnessed the dispatch staff for L.R. verbally abusing its employees, why is this all allowed to happen and what will be done to change it, A.S.A.P.

    • Labor ready has the most rudeness people working for them they treat you like dogs we need to file a lawsuit because no one listen to us

  • I am still waiting on my w2.I even called the so-called care number last week and still have got no w2.What is the problem?

  • You guys are going to be getting a lot of w2s back me and my husbands had all different amounts on them, if everyone's is like this you are going to be on some crap.

  • let me tell yous about my experience today,i called labor ready in loveland colo,i was told if i came into there office between 8am 4pm,they would start a application , how ever when i arrived the doors were locked, a note on the door read, gone to lunch.at 11.00am?i waited 2 hours ,waiting like all the perspective laborers, who were waiting.many very upset for waiting on a unlocked office, left unsatisfied .finally they came back, while waiting for service, they were talking to each other, about a baby shower, not paying attention to me what so ever, i respectively asked for there help,i was asked for two forms of id,of course i gave my valid license and my valid veterans id , much to my surprise, they refused my military id ,shocked by this,i asked, why?again the topic about a baby shower continued ,again no professional help,so i asked do you serve veterans, well i guess i was interrupting there girl talked,by then i could not wait for there assistants ,next thing i heard was were going on a smoke break, well now im shocked to here we can not help you.so i ask you vets to respond and share your thoughts, mean while im hiring a attorney to give me the respect i and my fellow vets deserve,so girls please enjoy your party, for after all your fellow vets gave you that opportunity, thank them then apologize, for you are the rudest employment agency in the united states,so keep up the great work ,NOT.POST IF YOUR SHOCKED AND AHH.SO PLEASE LABOR READY FEEL FREE TO FIRE THEM,BEFORE I REACH THE COURT HOUSE.

    • Hello,
      My customer service complaint
is from the Green Bay, WI location. I had to go into the hospital for stomach cramps, texted them and advised I wouldn't be at assignment. They tried to say I didn't contact them. When I got out of the hospital, I let them know and tried to sign up for another assignment on Jobstack. I was removed from the ticket 10 min. later, and when I called them they talked over me, being loud and unprofessionally rude. I disconnected the call with Adam, the office manager because I could tell he wasn't going to allow me to talk. The most unfortunate, unprofessional employer interaction ever! I've since obtained FT perm. employment. I truly hope that Adam is given feedback relating to proper people skills.
      Thank you.
      Sincerely,
      Seth Radcliff

  • I have recently contacted your outlet located at 39th and Main St. in Kansas City, MO. I had spoken with the manager named Lynn. I am writing to comment upon the low level of employee the your company has harbored. I found her to hesitant to answer any of my questions; short tempered, hurried and crass. Such rude and flippant attitude is a deturrant from a desire to work for you. Yours Truly, Anonymous 8/24/2012

    • Well it's good to know not much is different here in Columbus, Ohio, and in all these years and name changes there the same or much worse company, hire people who should not be in charge of a zoo!
