Beware . Let maridisn Hotel in downtown Tampa FL USES SUNSHINE VALET TO PARK your car on the city streets at parking meters that are free after 6 pm and wkds..THEY ARE STILL CHARGING YOU FULL FRICE FOR VALET PARKING.
I do not recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. I believe that are shady practices when it comes to billing. I was interviewing for a position in Cambridge. The company has a standing partnership with the hotel in which potential new candidates stay at this location since it is directly across the street. The company in fact makes the reservation and is given a discounted rate. I then received confirmation of reservation which was a direct bill to the employer. I was informed of this by the company and when I arrived at the hotel. I was told that I would not provide my credit for any "incidentals"which equaled the one night stay. Upon checking out the woman at the desk informed me that I would be billed. The company contacted the hotel and provided the billing information. I was told I would receive a refund in 5-10 day. Why it takes so long when the charge and deduction from my account occurred on the very day I checked out. It is four weeks later and I still have not received refund. When I followed back up I was told it is 5-10 to process and a few weeks to be credited to my bank account.What kind of business is this? If I transfer money to from one account to another it should be that difficult for LeMeriden. Hell, most retail stores take 24-48 hours. I will NEVER, EVER stay at another LeMeriden hotel. The Cambridge location is mediocre at best not even worth the rate they charge. I want my money and have no problem filing for resolution.
I do not recommend. I left my (very expensive) suit in my closet and ut mysteriously went missing and the hotel was very uncooperative in their "attempt" to recover it. Was fed a bunch of lies and half truths for 48hrs. This was at the hotel in New Orleans on September 18-20, 2015.
I have recently stayed at the Le Meridien Panama City. I will never recommend it to any one after the treatment my family recieved after booking, through concierge a local sightseeing trip. Paid cash to hotel who inturne booked trip.. Cancelled because trip provider changed venue and hotel refuses to return my money. I work out of country alot and regualarly receomend hotels, yours is definitely off the list.
