Wish I had read all these comments before I tried booking at Red Roof North in Austin. Booked one night for a doctor's visit the next day. Online booking data plainly states you will not be charged until your stay is complete.
Cancelled the day after I booked (well ahead of time allotted). Three days after the scheduled date, I was charged on my credit card. After calling the Inn, I had to send a copy of my cancellation. The woman admitted they made a mistake and told me she was returning my money right then. When I went to check, I discovered she CHARGED me again instead of a credit. So I called back.
They said to wait a week and it should be clearing. Waited 10 days and got the manager (a Mr. Patel) on the line. He finally agreed I had the money coming and told me to wait until next week and call back if it isn't in my account.
They should NEVER have charged me in the first place, much less charge me twice. If I have as much trouble being reimbursed as other people on here have had, I will never, ever consider staying at the place again.

I was going to stay at your hotel located in Biloxi, MS on Cook Road. However… your front desk clerk is extremely under the influence of alcohol. She is severely slurring her words and reeks of alcohol. She could hardly carry on the conversation over the phone. When I arrived at the hotel, the lobby had several people inside waiting to be put in a room. I'm assuming it is due to her being intoxicated. I am a frequent guest of your hotels as I travel frequently abroad the U.S. However, I will not stay in this establishment with the employees endulging while working. I have chosen to contact you so you can rectify this situation accordingly. Otherwise, you will be subjected to losing other fine people due to this repulsive display of an employee. I was at this location on 01/26/2018 at approximately 8:00 to 8:30 p.m.

I STAYED AT RED ROOF IN IN TWO SEPARATES PLACES AND IN ZAINSVILLE, OHIO THE BED WAS HORRIBLE, I HAD BACK PROCESURE AND OF COURSE MADE THE PROCEDURE SEEM LIKE I NEVER HAD ANYTHING DONE ON MY BACK. SO WE TRAVELED ON TO PHILADELPHIA, PA BY THE AIRPORT AND IT WAS A DISASTER. FIRST THE ROOM STINK, SECOND WE DID NOT HAVE THE PILLOWS ON THE BED AS ALL OTHER ROOMS WE COULD SEE PASSING BY TO OUR ROOM. THEN THE AIR CONDITIONED BEGAN TO LEAK AND CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND TOLD THEM INSTEAD OF SENDING MAINTENANCE TO COME AND FIX MY HUSBAND AND I WERE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM. WELL YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD GIVE US A CHEAPER RATE AND A BETTER ROOM THIS ROOM WAS EVEN WORSE. THE AIR CONDITIONER LEAK IN THE SECOND ROOM AND DOME OF OUR THINGS GOT WET. THEN WE LEFT THE NEXT DAY AND WENT TO A MEETING AND WHEN WE GOT BACK TO THE ROOM THAT EVENING THE DIRTY TOWELS WERE STILL ON THE FLOOR TRASH CANS HAD NOT BEEN EMPTY, BATHROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED JUST A DISASATER. THEN AS WE WERE WALKING TO OUR ROOM ONE OF THE EMPLOYEE IS PIST BECAUSE SHE HAD TO WAIT ON A CUSTOMER TO CHECK OUT, BECAUSE OF THEM CHECKING OUT LATE STANDING OUT IN OPEN AREA SAYING THE POLICY SAY YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CHECK OUT AT 12 NOT 12:01 OR 12:05 BUT 12:00 DUBM ASS PEOPLE. PLEASE IF ANYONE READ THIS PLEASE LET YOUR FRIENDS KNOW NOT TO STAY AT ANY RED ROOD INN IT IS NOT WORTH IT JUST A MESS!!! AND AFTER ALL THIS I THOUGHT THEY WOULD GIVE ME A FULL REFUND BUT NO SENDING ME AN EMAIL SAYING THEY ARE SORRY, BUT THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH WHEN ITEMS WERE WET BECAUSE OF THE AIR CONDITIONER. IF THEY DO NOT REFUEND THERE ARE OTHER MEASURE THAT CAN BE TAKEN!!!!

The red roof inn in Santee, SC should be shut down by the health department!

This place is DISGUSTING and I was promised a handicap room, and I am stuck in a horrible room.

When I get home, I will email the video of this room.

The bathroom towel rack is half on. The tub has scorch marks from cigarettes. The top of the shower surround looks like it has never been cleaned.

The floor vinyl tiles are peeling off, I have killed 3 bugs and my dog found a roach, that makes 4 bugs total.

I want a full refund!!!

After you see the video, you will understand why I want a full refund and I want the Department of Health alerted to this Red Roof Inn, Santee South Carolina 9091 Old Six Hwy zip code 29142, phone number (803) 854-3122.

My check in date/time 09/13/2017 20:02:03.

$68.80.

My name, John Burdick

Hi my 7yr granddaughter has a question for you. She asks every time we go to Sylacauga,Al. Why does the sign say Red Roof but the roof is green?

After driving nearly 8 hours and need comfortable place to stay, I decided to stop at the Redroof Inn in Parkersburgh, WV on Monday, September 19th. I originally stopped two exits up from the Parkersburgh exit and was going to stay at a Microtel, but was unsuccessful to secure a room via my smart phone. A search of the surrounding area allowed me to reserve a room at the Red Roof Inn in Parkersburgh. As I was checking into my room, my first red flag that there may have been a problem is that the night shift clerk indicated I got the last king size bed and that if there was a problem with the room she would give me a double bed room for the same price. She proceeded to tell me that right before I checked in another customer complained of bugs in their room and requested to be moved; therefore, the only other king room was blocked off because of bugs. I didn't think much about it because I just wanted to relax and get some sleep. I went to begin to unpack in my room and noticed that there was a bug on the wall (I believe they referred to it as a stink bug). I captured the bug and flushed it down the toilet. After unpacking and beginning to recline in my bed, I noticed another of the bugs on the bed. I captured it again and flushed it down the toilet. I know at this point I could have packed up all my things and requested another room. Well, after unpacking and already beginning to settle in, I just was too tired and unmotivated to go through the process. As I watched television, I wanted to check a few emails and then call it a night. After unsuccessfully logging into the free wifi included with my stay, I called down to the front desk to inquire if the wifi was operational. The desk clerk indicated that she thought the wifi was operational and that I was probably just too far away to be able to use it. Wow! That was one heck of a response from the front desk clerk. She didn't even try to resolve the issue and I'm pretty sure that the wifi signal was strong enough (my laptop indicated that I had a good signal) to be able to login. As if my first two complaints were not enough, I dropped the television remote on the floor and it fell slightly beneath the bed. When I retrieved the remote, the filth under the bed looked like a crime scene (that may be a bit dramatic, but it appeared as though the contents of the floor were just swept under the bed). It appeared as though the area under the bed has never been swept ever. There was food, dead bugs, a child's sock, dust, grime (should I go on?). I'm pretty sure that the room is still going to be the same; therefore, if you would like to verify my information, I believe my room number was 245. If my memory doesn't serve me correctly, it was located in the set of rooms across from main check in, far back corner room on the second floor. As I wrap up my visit, and begin to travel home, rest assured I will stay clear of any Red Roof Inn and pay a few extra dollars and stay at another hotel chain.

Continued from above
We are already late for the Music Festival, so we ask her if she could have someone change the sheets while we were gone. She advised that she would most definitely accommodate our request. We return at 130 am, after the Music Festival, very tired and ready to crash in the bed. We open the door to our Room 123, NOTHING has been done. The dirty sheets are still on the bed. We contact the front desk and the guy says that he was not aware of our request. He brings the sheets to us and lays it on the bed and leaves back out. I’m thinking…did he really not put the sheets on the bed for us? By this time it is 2:00 am, even more tired. My Aunt and I decide to go ahead and change the sheet. We pull back the fitted sheet that we thought was stained, but it wasn’t the fitted sheet that was stained! It was the mattress pad that was stained that clearly had two large spots that looked like urine, sex or whatever! So clearly the housekeeper just added a clean sheet over the nasty spotted mattress pad. No telling how long that spot was there. Someone probably not as OCD as me probably would have just got in the bed without looking! That is unsafe and unacceptable for a hotel. AND yes, I took pictures of everything! By now I’m livid, I call the guy from the front desk again (), I complain again. I open the sheets that he gave us the first time, they are stained as well. He said he couldn’t replace the mattress pad because he didn’t have any more King size bed pads. We settled with a medium mattress pad. He did bring more sheets that were clean. The pillows had stain on them, so he gave us brand new pillows. He assured us that he brought us a brand new bedspread too…I opened up the bedspread it had a cigarette burn on it! I’m thinking…this hotel is really a joke thinking that I can be fooled. We finally got settled in by 2:30. Even though I was extra tired, I couldn’t get good rest wondering what the heck I may be laying on, as well as I have very bad allergies to mold, pollen and dust…I coughed all night. Plus, I couldn’t help but wonder if the mattress had bed bugs or not. We couldn’t wait for morning to come to check out of this hotel and go to another hotel! I will never stay at this hotel again and will advise all of my family and friends to not go to Red Roof as well. As a hotel chain, I’m very sure you would not like you or your family to sleep in conditions such as this. What was also disturbing is that when we did check out, the lady asked how our stay was. We replied terrible and began to explain our experience. She said that her General Manager always says..”Well if they don’t like it here, the guest can leave”! That’s not acceptable at all and maybe this hotel should not be in existence! She then gave me his card and wrote the guest relations number on the back of the business card.

Red Roof Inn Cincinnati East-Beechmont on 7-23-16. We were in town for the Cincinnati Music Festival. When we checked into the hotel, several guest were already complaining about the smell of their rooms. I looked at my Aunt and said OMG I hope our room is okay. We were given room 122 which was a double queen bed room. Immediately when we went into the room, yes it smelled like mildew. I immediately pulled back the bedspread on one bed like I always do…saw pubic hair…yuck! Went into the bathroom and the floor was dirty and mildew on the base board. As well as the tub and shower curtain dirty. I was very unhappy and advised my Aunt to go get the desk clerk so she can see this. An African American lady came back and looked at the room and said that she couldn’t believe how this room looked herself. She was gonna mark the room off the available listimmediately. To remedy the situation, she said she would give us the room next door (room 123), which was a King size bedroom suite. We walk into the room and yes it smells a lot better, the bathroom is a little better. Then like I always do, I pulled the bedspread and sheet back. Two big stains on the sheet…gross!! This time my aunt walks back to the office and request that they come change the sheets.
