Ross Dress for Less has been on a mission to bring high-quality clothing at extraordinary savings while providing an easy, fun, and organized shopping experience. From their humble beginnings in 1982 as a single store,  today they are the go-to multiple store chain where you can find everything from casual wear accessories to business attire.

  • Had an argument today with a "teenage" manager at the Ross in Hamilton, New jersey. Jessica is young enough to be my great grandchild. I purchased a pair of shoes today…found a nicer pair elsewhere, and went to return the pair to Ross. I was told that COMPANY police is to get ID if you return the same day. The back of the receipt does not mention this. I asked this "kid" to over ride the need for ID, but she would not. Others at this store have done it for me. She was more than confrontational, even with other customers waiting on line. It would have been easier to appease me, rather than hold up the line. Maybe Ross needs to hire people who are older…more mature…and can use some common sense.

    • The name Tom Bass maybe a name with the 813 area code is a Florida Tampa area code there's no way that's in California so whoever wrote this you should be ashamed of yourself piece of s*** place

  • Went shopping at Ross on 158th Ave & Pines Blvd in Pembroke Pines, FL and I will never return again. Poor customer service from the associate Yarda also the store manager Gina. Yarda has a bad attitude including arguing back and foward with a customer and yelling so loud making a scene… Then says she needs her job…right! When complaining to the so called store manager Gina she hardly stops to listen to my complaint just continues picking up things from the poorly kept store floors and walking around as I'm talking to her. I literally had to walk behind her to explain what was going on. Gina gave me a number to a district manager Luz which I've tried calling twice and was asked to leave a message. The mumber given seems like someone's home number because this person never identified themselves as a representative of Ross. I mean what's really going on?! Is this really how Ross treats their customers?! I will definitely Never return to a place that is rude and treats me or my family like crap. Please treat your customers with at least respect.

  • I agree. employees need to be nicer to customers
I went to the store on 8910 J.W. CLAY Blvd in Charlotte NC. I had the worst experience ever. I was waiting in line with my 3 kids for about 10 minutes. There was only one line for everyone and the cashiers were calling the customers in order…until it was my turn, I thought that Lisa, who was available was going to help me. All of a sudden she wanted to send me to another cashier who still had a customer and made us wait longer instead of helping us. She is African American and the couple behind me were African-American as well. I'm spanish . And I mention this because I noticed the urgency she had for assisting them. I told her "BUT I'M NEXT" and she replied "I KNOW SHE'S ABOUT TO FINISH" referring to the other cashier, and then grab the couple that was behind me and started to ring them out, while we were waiting again…., after standing in line, Honestly, I felt discriminated because she had an urgency to help the people that were behind us. While I was waiting I decided not to buy anything because of the way she treated us in front of everyone that was there. So I left all my stuff and went home. If it wasn't for the customers she probably wouldn't have a job. You guys are there to serve people and to treat them with respect so they can come back and shop again at your store. Not to make exceptions or show favoritism based on race, color etc. 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 Ain't going back never ever.

  • Ross is a fun store to shop at and I am appreciative of the service and all of the great deals. But, as a loyal $$$$$$$$$ customer whom does not cause any problems in any of the stores. I am surprised how sometimes, I am treated by customer service. The behavior of employees needs a new policy. All I want to do is have a pleasant time walking in and a pleasant time leaving. Thank you,

  • I agree regarding the Hiram Location, the managers are so rude, and unprofessional. I have witness how they treat some of their PT employers. Mainly those that are very professional and have awesome customer service skill. Ross does not realize that they have a good group of Part-Timers that really cares about the customers and how the store looks. It's so sad how they do this one lady that is very professional with awesome customer service skills. She never stir the pot, and she really works hard coming from one job to her 2nd job. I have overheard the loss prevention lady talk about this part-time employee to the manager, and I do believe that they had it out for her due to jealously. So sad to say, but Ross Corporate office you really do need to address this concerns, (Employment Discrimination Act)… Managers are horrible and does not play fair.

  • Ross managers in Hiram Georgia are so unprofessional, they are rude, evil and mean spirited. They do not appreciate their hard working part-time employers that goes above and beyond. As well as committed to the days you are scheduled to work. They hire all of these new employees that are young and does not have any responsibilities, and does not care about keeping the stores cleaned, putting the garments, accessories, and etc… In the right places, they stash clothes in all area of the store, they called out, and they do not last long when they realized the work is hard for less pay. In addition, when payroll is cut the manager(s) will take a person(s) that has 4 hours for the week away from her/him if they don't like you. Yes, they take it very personal if you work a full-time job, and drives a nice vehicle, and if you are educated with a degree. There are employees that does not need the part-time job, but we doesn’t display that attitude. We work harder and smarter, but the managers does not appreciate the hard workers, they will penalized you if they do not like you, are shall I say if you are not one of their favorites employee(s). The loss prevention lady, she is so messy that she plays both sides, and she also lies on the employees that she is a threat to her. She’s constantly telling the managers that the employees does not do their job, and our hours should be cut. In addition, there’s a male hiring manager, if he does not like you, he will cut your hours as well. Someone in the corporate office should come to investigate these managers at the Hiram Georgia location, they are incompetent with no people/manager skills. This is the worse store that treats their good employees like crap!!!!!!

  • On Sunday morning, March 8th, 2015, customers were shopping at the Ross store in Silver Spring and overheard the security speaking with another store employee about "shooting up" or "spraying bullets everywhere" in regard to a customer. Apparently, a male entered the store and there was some issue and he left or was asked to leave. Is it acceptable for security in the store to resort to violence? I'm sure customers were uncomfortable knowing that the guard is violent and they're shopping in an unsafe environment. Security should be properly screened and respectable persons who have a goal of customer safety and behave in a professional manner at all times. Please discuss this with the security personnel as this is unacceptable. The value of merchandise or the guard's ego does not override the value of the life of a human being. Security cannot act violently towards customers. The police are available to enforce the laws and they should be trained to understand that, otherwise they should not be employed.

Ross is a store frequented by many families with children. Please speak to the staff about this. Thank you.

  • Former employee at Ross in Round Rock, Texas, is a horrible store to work at. Managers are inexperienced, staff is lazy, no respect for employees, frequent call out and when co workers do come in they avoid work. I've never experienced a manager asking an employee what they wanted to do and an employee telling a manager what they didn't want to do…and a lot of stealing…..it's ridiculous. If Ross doesn't clean up their store staff…..sales will fall due to inadequate Customer Service and Favoritism amongst employees….

  • The ross in Tallahassee on Monroe street has the most unprofessional employee that I have witnessed….Thus the thought it was okay to diregard my complaint and chuckle with other employees

  • ROSS KAPOLEI, HAWAII IS RIDICULOUS!! THERE MANAGERS SUCK!! THERE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AN I DON'T SEE WHY THEY CAN'T GIVE "MY" INFORMATION OUT TO "ME" FOR IMPORTANT PAPER WORK!! THEY ARE STUPID I SWEAR, ALWAYS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUNDS!!

  • I worked in Loss Prevention at a Ross Store in New Port Richey, FL. Our managers were seasoned–not just out of high school. With few exceptions, our store was clean and orderly which I will attribute to store manager JC, assistants and employees. "Pick it up, don't pass it up." was the policy. The exceptions which I mentioned were usually created by hateful customers who created havoc and disarray in each of the plaza's stores. Yes, I have shopped in Ross stores which have an unkempt appearance, but I've also shopped in Ross Stores where I had to read the signage to be sure that I didn't wander in to a high-end department store. While a Ross employee, I worked with and met so many quality people. Do I still shop at Ross Stores? Yes.

  • Why write on these no one at this company cares!! They hire all these out of school managers that don't have no experience to run these stores. All the managers no is if there workers don't do there job (management job) for them. The managers get to write employees up until they are fired. MY FAMILY MEMBER has been with company for a several years and now with new manager she cant do anything to please manager!!!! Its funny how someone that's been doing the job for years all of a sudden with new manager cant do nothing right!!!

  • Do not shop at Ross at Snellville store unless you want rudeness I am partially cripple and when asked for help in the shoe dept. was told to look for missing mate myself I asked for store manager and was told non available. This happened at store location 0538 on 3/27 at 4:13 pm.

    • I agree with these poor decisions plus I know some practices are not legal and intend to turn it over to my attorney!

  • Dds, ross store are very dirty inside. They sell things thats broken and doest work good. Clothes dats stained and dirty also. And dnt want to stand up for there mistakes

  • BECCAREFUL WHAT U WISH FOR. if YOU LOOK ON LINE OF ALL THEIR LAWSUITS DUE TO THEIR DANGEROUS CONDITIONS IN THEIR STORES YOU WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SHOP AT THEIR MESSY UNKEPT STORES. • Please build a Ross' in Ocean County, New Jersey. There are so many empty stores in Brick and Toms River, NJ. We would love Ross to come. I love Ross stores. Right now I have to travel an hour to go to one. Please Please Please
    gingersnaps11@verizon.net

    • I hope you get your Ross store I moved from Ocean County in 2009 and I now live in Delaware and we're about to get a Ross in Dover DE I too when lived in NJ traveled a hour in Moorestown NJ

  • Some ROSS Stores are a mess, I agree. But I wholeheartedly disgree that they are all that way. I depends on the area and the clients. I have been shopping in stores where the customer has knocked something off the rack, by accident, but then just run it over with the shopping cart. I have seen ignorant parents allow their young children to "whip it out" and urinate on the post in front of another store. These are the people who don't care about where they shop and will destroy a store in no time at all. I have been in the Hollywood store where they are not pigs, but just by the sheer volume of people shopping, the store gets trashed. And every night it is brought back to life so if you arrive first thing in the morning, you would never know it was trashed the previous day. Then I have been to the La Jolla store and the Solana Beach store where everything is beautiful! Of course the mgmt has to care about the store too! If they don't care, they should be replaced!
All that being said…I have shopped at my local Marshall's and it is trashed too. The TJ Max near me, HA! Went there one time, and will not go back. No only is the store trashed, but there is broken glass items on the shelving and the employees are rude and treat you as if they are doing you a favor just because they showed up for work that day.

    • Be careful what you wish for. There is a ROSS in my hometown, right outside of DC and the store is kept in such disarray that it looks like a rummage sale. I also travel for my company and have gone to many places where there is a Ross. i thought that only the store in my area would look so bad… I was wrong. EVERY ROSS store I've gone into looks the SAME messy way. It might be a good thing no one has been professional enough to respond to you. I'm trying to complain about managemwent at my local ROSS who does not mind long lines of people waiting to check out. I finally decided I'm NOT going to patronize them anymore. i'll just take my money and go to Marshall's, which is my favorite place to shop anyway or TJ Maxx I can't stand ROSS and it's xcheap quality of clothes.

    • You are correct, be careful what you wish for.
I am currently waiting for reply to my complaint as the stores here in Colorado have implemented "time saving techniques" as not handing you your receipt(even if requested) as well as yelling to customers in line to remove their hangers and hang them up! So obnoxious and rude.
Cashier said it was common courtesy and made it easier on cashiers.
I couldn't beleive what I was hearing and checked with two separate stores and their managers, sure enough they said their district managers instructed them to do so.
I find their stance extremely disrespectfull to customers .
They need to understand customers are not there to make their job easier.
Our money keeps them in business.
Nothing in that store is worth putting up with their uneducated obnoxious cashiers and Mngrs.
Tjmax, Home goods, Penny's, Marshalls etc, all better quality and better customer service, which is why I will not continue with Ross
