  • I have spent 3 months and 23 hours of mt time for a replacement phone that should only take up to 10 days to get..Customer service department is incompetent as well as the mangers department no one speaks English and no one can tell me anything…Tracfone wireless is a joke

     
    • I agree I spent a total of 6 weeks trying to get a device replaced that didn't even work in my area that I bought off of their website the phone was replaced 4 timesI agree I spent a total of 6 weeks trying to get a device replaced that didn't even work in my area that I bought off of their website the phone was replaced 4 times and finally I got the Miami corporate office to send me a different model the model I received was not the model that I was supposed to get so that phone has been sent back back to the warehouse in Indianapolis and they are finally supposed to send me the proper device today this is six weeks later I have been a net10 tracfone customer for 11 years I Drive truck over the road and this is the only time I have ran into such crappy customer service in 11 years but I have noticed that over the last 6 months that their customer service reputation has gone downhill the only reason is the competition between the contract companies for two year service contract they are now offering competitive pay as you go plan on Android devices .

I have been calling for 4-5 mos .and can not get any help I called corp.office and still no one helps I signed up $10.88 mo. out my bank acct. for 150.mi. worked ok for about 3mos. now took the 10.88 out but did not rec. my 150 min.from tracfone I talked to so many costomer service rep and they keep hanging up I use all my min. trying to reach them tracfone is crappy also they need better English speaking reps.

       
  • I use a cell phone for emergencies only, hence the Tracfone. I load minutes by force every 3-months to keep it activated, even though I never use any of those minutes, and there is no option to pay a smaller fee just for activation and no minutes. Service is sporadic and the battery charge is awful…every time I actually do want to use it, it is DEAD even though I don't keep it turned on. Every time I try to use customer service, they are pathetic.

    I decided not to use the phone for SIX MONTHS, not a huge period of time to be inactive. I turned to add more airtime today for an upcoming trip and found out that, when you do not use the phone, they do not just inactive service, THEY KILL YOUR PHONE AND KILL THE SIM CARD. The lady keeps trying to say they can do a new Sim card, well the old one is strapped down Hard with a piece of metal and does not come out, so no you can't. I could understand maybe one year of no-use, but 6 months?! And like I said, they have been getting free money from me since I never actually use the minutes.

    Your loss Tracfone. I will be using someone else from now on. Pathetic!

     
    • Verizon is good for a pay as u go plan I have used it for years…. i only have to pay for service (none of this extra data, etc plans either) every 3 mos to keep ph alive or once a year if i want. Right now i have not paid for a lil more than 16 months because i had 2 years and dont expire till dec. its great and cust service is awesome. (No I dont work there)

       
  • I am a 65 yr old retired paralegal. I am computer savvy. I troubleshoot all the time. I do research and am a probono representative for senior citizens. I need my phone to work. I was on the phone 90 minutes. After being walked through everything I had already done successfully the dear Maria said she was going…………………sorry, her English was not her first nor her second language. She would constantly refer back to her script. She didn't know anything about the phones, really. Even the battery take out shot didn't work. Finally I asked for a supervisor. IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT THIS YOUNG LADY FINDS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT ANYONE HIGHER THAN SHE, YOU SHOULD GO TO WORK HERE. NEVER HAVE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM……I will be calling and tweeting and facebook soliciting at the end of three business days if this problem is not handled immediately. Call me 727-289-9465 and speak English well enough to be understood by an English speaking United States citizen. Everyone got a green card?

     
  • Can't get my old phone number back after your operator made a mistake and stuck me with a different number while switching my old number to my new phone. How hard can this be. I have spent over 10 hours of my time waiting on hold over the last 2 weeks. None of the operators speak proper English and they really don't give a rats behind about the problem that they have caused for me. I'm so very glad to have finally found the phone number for TracFone's Corporate Office Headquarters. I will be calling that number tomorrow to complain and ask for my rightful phone number to be returned to me. I have had that number for over 3 years, I have been a good customer, I will not go down silent and I will receive compensation for all the problems your company has caused for me. I'm not one to give up no matter how long I must persevere.

     
  • region 8. I had 2 tracfones and each one came up [no network] after talking for a week to a couple of nitwits who could not speak English I smashed both phones and am sending them to tracfones corp.headquarters……..

     
  • I bought your straight talk LG android phone, and an unlimited $45 prepaid card Tuesday Jan. 22, 2013. Your product advertises that they work in the area I live. Your company stated that yes this area is covered, but when I activated the phone with your prepaid card, no signal, no service at all. I do live in a more rural area, but there is a tower 3 miles from my house, AT&T. Your sell reps say your product works off of AT&T towers. After an hour on the phone with your customer service techs, they said "well sorry there is nothing I can do for you, I have to hang the phone up now." The phone did work in the Baton Rouge, and Plaquemine, LA areas, but not in the 70740 zip code area I live in. Even though your techs said yes this is a covered area, and the phone should be working. I brought the phone back on Friday Jan 25, 2013. I did recieve a refund for the phone, but not the prepaid card. The store won't refund my money. When I called your customer service line, once I was hung up on, then I called back they said there is nothing they can do about it. So you can't reund my money for a prepaid card, which I had to buy to activate the phone, that doesn't work in an area, which your techs said it should. But I was getting no signal at all to make or receive phone calls, and you stil cannot refund me my money. That is false advertisement, and stealing. That is a poor and pathetic way to run a company. What am I to do with a $45 prepaid card that I can't use. So you get to keep my money and I am short $45, and still have to get a phone, AT&T, contract, or prepaid, because that's the only thing that works out here. This really isn't fair to your customers. Why can't anything be done about this?

     
  • Is tracFone in the business of selling minuties for previously purchased tracfone's ? I think not. for four day's i have been trying to add/minutes to my cell phone or should i say fone. account confirmed by tracfone e-mail. log into site buy minutes site kicks me out !!! 4 requests for support, problem not fixed. in the event i run out of minutes because the tracfone agent's failed to correct i am buying from other phone co.

Your minutes will be divided by nine. For your case, we can only transfer 219 minutes. You: Why is this? You are stealiung from me. You: besides I went from (transfer) a regular phone to an android. You: Nowhere in the phone info does this appear. why are you ripping me off? You: why did you give me the run around for three days? Prea: I do apologize, but this is the policy that we have. You: The policy is not written. You have not given me a reason why I have been mistreated. This is not too much to ask. You: Why three days? Policy? Prea: I am sorry about that.   • I too have had problems with two TracFones (Sanyo, LG) and both times have spent many hours on the telephone with an inep customer support. I couldn't get through to the Internet on either phone. Kept getting "connection failed." The reps kept telling me that I was not in a 'strong' location, and that I should go outside my apartment, which I did and still no service. I was wasing my moeny always trying to connect to the Internet and they did not seem to care. BTW I am in NYC, which to my knowledge is supposed to get great reception for other phones except the two I have. I am going to let my money/minutes run out and then get a phone from another company. TracFone is just awful!!

     
    • Tracfone is the worst company I have ever done business with. If I could give them a negative -10 rating I would. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. The hold times are ridiculous. 2 or more hours. When you do speak to someone, they speak awful broken English. None of the agents are trained, they give you wrong information. I have been calling to get my daughters phone working since Jan 2022. TRACFONE sent me 3 wrong sim cards. Awful customer service. The 2nd sim card I paid to get overnight & it took 5 days. I will be calling my credit card company about that. DON’T BUY TRACFONE – THEY ALSO OWN STRAIGHT TALK, NET 10, PAGE PLUS CELLAR, SIMPLE MOBILE VERIZON AQUIRED TRACFONE 9/14/20. BILLIONAIR CARLOS SLIM OWNS THEM ALL.
      3/28/22 Wasted another night on the phone with tracfone. They wont transfer the 3.1 data 2645 text 1217 talk from Sierra’s phone not working phone 717-xxx-4691 to my sons phone working phone717-xxx-5874. Sierra’s phone has not worked since Jan 2022. I have been calling and calling to get this resolved phone still not working.

       
  • I BOUGHT A NEW TRACFONE TO REPLACE THE TRACFONE I DROPPED AND BROKE. AFTER 5 DAYS AND NUMEROUS CALLS I WAS TOLD THAT THE SWITCH TO THE NEW PHONE WAS SUCCESSFUL. IT WAS NOT, I COULD MAKE CALLS BUT INCOMING CALLS RECEIVED A MSG THAT I WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I WAS ON THE PHONE TO YOUR TECH SUPPORT TONIGHT FOR OVER AN HOUR. I TALKED TO 4 PEOPLE. I HAD TO START OVER WITH EACH NEW TECH PERSON. AFTER ALL THAT TIME THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROGRAMING ERROR AND IT WOULD NOT BE FIXED UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH A MAJOR COMPANY. I HAVE RECOMMENDED TRACFONE TO MANY FRIENDS BUT NOW I WILL BE TELLING THEM ABOUT THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AWFUL TECH SUPPORT

     
    • I agree… spent over an hour trying to resolve an issue with them and I was basically told that due to a policy that they don't have listed anywhere, that I was just out of luck with my issue and the rep said they wouldn't do ANYTHING to actually resolve the issue. I was just suppose to deal with it basically. And when I asked how to file a complaint she told me she didn't know of a way and wouldn't give me her info besides her first name! An then when I asked to just help me clarify what she told me so I knew what to talk to someone above her about she got all short with me saying I was just trying to argue and hung up on me rudely! This is the WORST customer service I've ever had!! They didn't resolve my issue and were very rude to me the entire time! Don't understand why I waited an hour to talk to her (Rene Corporate office in Miami) if she wasn't going to even try to help me with my issue or understand how this was even legal. I felt like my account and me as a customer meant nothing to her or the company!!

       
    • I too have had to go around and around trying to get my new (as if 2 days ago) Android phone working. They (India, I think) a first told me my phone was no good. Wanted to send me a new one. After an hour and 30 minutes I finally got the minutes from my old Trafone transferred to the new one. But in the process they lost 600 of those minutes and I am now told it's too late to restore those. Called Trafone corporate headquarters and they said I was out of luck I've been a Tracfone customer for 15 years but the service I got yesterday was the worst. Why can't we talk with Americans in America when we have a problem. Half of the time I can't understand what they are saying and they must be reading from a manual because they were confused. Service stunk! Tried to get my minutes back on my old phone so that I could send the new one back but was told it's too late, they can never transfer back to the old phone. I bought this phone from QVC, it as their Special value of the Day. They were no help either. There is no where to go to get this resolved as nobody gives a dam! This is the worst service I have ever received from Tracfone and QVC. I am done with both of them..

       
    • I had same problem ,talked to over 28 people wasted over 500 minutes and it took over 68 days to resolve issue. and now im being charged for texting which I am supposed to receive for free.. you need to file a consumer complaint with your attorney general in the state you live in. I agree ,this is a very very bad way to treat consumers ,,I cant understand their forein operaters either……..tracfone wireless is a super ripoff corporation that doesn't care about their customers or their problems…….they are the best when it comes to circle jerking their customers around

       
    • Tracfone's business model clearly reveals their cynical modus is to not honor their warranties as corporate policy. Time for a class action lawsuit and/or a complaint with the FCC. The company has already been fined for other devious schemes by the feds.
      They figure after an hour on the phone we'll just give up.

    • TRY GETTING YOUR CONGRESSPERSON TO HELP, i SUSPECT THEY ARE ALL ON TRACFONE/MICROSOFT PAYROLL BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHICH AGENCY OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS FUNDING SAFE-LINK AND ALL THE FREE PHONE SERVICES EITHER.

       
    • The best way I know to centralize these complaints about Tracfone is to contact the Federal Trade Commission (ftc.gov) and file a complaint.

       
    • You ar correct. Tracphone has the worst customer service possible. I just spent 1 hour on hold, and still did not get my number changed????

      Is this the worst it can get? I think so. Cheap cell phone service when it works, but customer service is a -FFFF in my opinion. Worst ever dealing with.
