Procter & Gamble’s corporate headquarters is in Cincinnati, Ohio. P&G makes products sold under many individual brand names, so a question about a household purchase usually needs the relevant brand’s support team. This guide separates the corporate office from consumer product help, former-employee assistance, shareholder services and business contacts, with practical steps for preparing a product complaint.

Find the Right P&G Brand Before Contacting Headquarters
Check the name on the package and the company information printed on its label. P&G’s official brand directory includes brands such as Tide, Pampers, Dawn, Gillette and Crest. The directory links to their websites and separates product categories, helping you identify the correct support route.
Write down the full product name, variety or fragrance, package size and country of purchase. Similar-looking packages can contain different versions, and a general description such as “your detergent” may not give the support team enough information to identify the item.
For a product code, check the bottle, container, carton or package seam and take a clear photograph. Keep the barcode and any lot or date code available. If you are unsure which code is needed, ask the brand’s representative to explain where to find it.
The retailer’s receipt is also useful. It can show who sold the item, the purchase date and the amount paid. A manufacturer question about the product itself is different from an online seller’s missing shipment, payment problem or store return request, so explain both parts separately when necessary.
How to Escalate a Procter & Gamble Product Complaint
The following steps are suggestions for organizing your request. They are not a statement of a universal P&G replacement, reimbursement or warranty policy.
- Start with the product’s official support team. Use the contact information on the package or reach the brand through P&G’s directory. Identify the exact item and the country where it was purchased.
- Describe the issue precisely. Explain what you expected, what you observed and when it happened. Examples might include a broken dispenser, missing contents, damaged packaging or a concern about product performance. Distinguish observations from an assumed cause.
- Keep the product and purchase information. Retain the packaging, receipt and identifying codes while asking what documentation the team needs. Photograph the issue when appropriate, and ask for instructions before mailing anything.
- State the requested resolution. You may need product-use clarification, review of a quality concern, replacement information or consideration of a reimbursement request. Ask which options apply to the particular item and circumstances.
- Request further review if unresolved. Ask whether a supervisor or product-quality team should review the case. Keep the reference number, dates of contact and written response so a follow-up can address the remaining question.
For a concern involving several items from one purchase, list each product and its identifying code rather than treating them as a single unspecified problem. If the issue involves an appliance or another company’s product as well, explain what each company has already said and retain any relevant documentation.
P&G describes its product assessment approach on its Product Safety page. That company information does not replace reporting the details of your own concern to the appropriate brand. A public review also does not create a product-quality case or provide medical care.
Keep health information, children’s identifying details, home addresses, payment information and private case numbers out of public comments and photos. Share sensitive supporting information only through the appropriate official private channel.
Retail Returns, Online Purchases and Promotional Offers
For a return to a retailer, check the seller’s policy and your receipt. Identify whether you are requesting a store return, a manufacturer review or help with an order placed directly on a brand’s website. Do not assume that a manufacturer’s corporate office can access or change a retailer’s order.
If an online package is missing, damaged in transit or contains the wrong item, use the order confirmation to identify the seller’s support route. Keep the shipment tracking, packing slip and order number. For a product-quality issue inside the shipment, also retain the product code so the manufacturer can identify what was supplied.
For a coupon, rebate or promotional offer, save the actual terms and submission confirmation. Record the purchase deadline, submission date and any claim or tracking reference. Ask the administrator identified in the offer about that promotion; a general product line may need to direct the request elsewhere.
When a refund or replacement is agreed, ask for a written explanation of the amount or item, delivery method and any action required from you. Keep the confirmation until the resolution is complete. We did not verify a single refund timetable or blanket guarantee applying to every P&G brand and seller.
P&G Employment, HR and Retiree Contacts
P&G publishes its Employee Care Contact Center directory specifically for former employees with HR-related questions. The U.S. listing provides 833-441-4357, with a separate U.S. retiree number of 844-786-6588. The directory also lists international calling options and contacts for other countries.
Have the employer name, employment location and a concise description of the question ready. Ask what identity verification is required through the official process. Do not post Social Security numbers, benefits documents, payroll records or employee identifiers in public reviews.
Applicants can use P&G Careers to find roles and application information. Current employees should use their employer-provided HR or payroll channel. Neither a consumer brand’s product line nor the general corporate number should be presented as a verified substitute for those contacts.
Shareholder, Supplier and Business Inquiries
P&G’s investor directory directs individual shareholders and direct stock purchase plan questions to EQ Shareowner Services at 800-742-6253, with 651-450-4064 also listed. The directory separates institutional investor correspondence and provides mailing instructions for shareowner services.
If your shares are held through a brokerage, identify that arrangement when asking where to direct an account question. Keep investment account information out of consumer feedback forms. Use the investor directory to select the appropriate contact rather than sending account documents to the consumer product team.
For supplier and retail trade matters, P&G’s contact page provides separate business routes and directs existing customers to their sales representatives. Include your company name, the relevant product or invoice and the business relationship involved when requesting assistance.
The P&G Professional website publishes 800-332-7787 for commercial customers and advertises 24/7 customer care. Identify the commercial product or system involved so the inquiry can be routed correctly. We did not test telephone availability.
Procter & Gamble Corporate Office Questions
Is 1 P&G Plaza the correct headquarters address?
Yes. P&G lists 1 P&G Plaza, Cincinnati, OH 45202, on its U.S. contact page. Ask for department-specific mailing instructions before sending products, returns or sensitive documents.
Can I use the corporate number for every brand?
It is a general company contact. For an individual product, start with the brand’s support information so the team can identify the item and applicable process.
Is P&G’s corporate phone also its HR hotline?
We did not verify that role. The company publishes separate former-employee contacts, and current employees should use their workplace’s HR route.
About Procter & Gamble
P&G’s portfolio spans household cleaning, laundry, baby care, grooming, oral care and other everyday consumer products. Because the company operates through numerous brands and markets, the product name and country of purchase are useful starting points for almost any consumer inquiry.
