General Mills Wheaties Box Concerns

March 23, 2025

General Mills, Keep the Wheaties Box Focused on Sports Achievements

I’ve always appreciated Wheaties as the “Breakfast of Champions” — a low-sugar, whole-grain diet staple that I can rely on for a healthy start. Thank you for maintaining the quality and consistency of this product. However, I believe Wheaties should stick to its tradition of celebrating the athletic accomplishments of sports icons. Using the packaging to provide a platform for athletes to express their personal opinions about societal issues takes away from the focus on their sports achievements. I feel that packaging should remain a space to highlight athletic excellence rather than promoting personal viewpoints. I encourage General Mills to maintain the Wheaties legacy of celebrating champions for their dedication and accomplishments in their respective sports.Show more

General Mills Nature Valley Crispy Creamy Wafer bar Strawberry

March 13, 2025

General Mills, Nature Valley Crispy Creamy Wafer bar Strawberry, disappointing. First time buying them. Don’t know if the box I got was wrong but the bars doesn’t have any creamy filling between the layers like the picture on the box or package. They were very dry. Nothing creamy about them.

General Mills Excellent Larabar

February 22, 2025

General Mills, Larabar. After the few times I purchased fresh-tasting Larabars (Blueberry Muffin and Cashew Cookie), I assumed I had previously been buying old Blueberry Muffin product. I started checking B Muffin expiration dates to ensure freshness, but found that to be unreliable. I was hesitant to use them in my gift baskets and thank-you bags, so I would buy only 1 box (as high at nearly $10) to test for freshness. Sometimes I found if microwaved for 5 minutes they were good enough for my consumption–but not for anyone else. I stopped buying them even after they dropped to $8.99, until recently they were on sale at $6.99. When they are on sale, I suspect it is relative to product turnover. Turnover wouldn’t be necessary if consumers were able to consistently buy fresh product. I tried the Cashew Cookie variety again recently and was elated–to the point I mentioned it to another shopper when I returned for additional boxes and Blueberry Muffin as well!! The Blueberry was better than the last ones I had, but I would not include in my giveaways. Sometimes I saved box flaps showing exp dates 6 months out, for the purpose of writing your QC folks, but did not do so. I am a Larabar cheerleader, who wants to introduce these 2 flavors to young people who appreciate quality and simple ingredients? This line of simple ingredient snacks is sensitive to environmental variance affecting taste quality. I realize that chains such as HyVee, Price Chopper, Target, Menards (I think they dropped them) and Walmart operate on distribution center inventory. When possible, I order similar items directly from their companies, but never from Amazon!!!!! When dry, these bars are not only waaaay too costly for my purposes but neither are they good enough to share. TMI…please tell me where in the Kansas City MO area, I can trust adequate stock turnover to ensure freshness?Show more
