Save screenshots or transcripts of important conversations, especially when the representative promises a rescheduled appointment, retreatment, credit, refund, cancellation, or management callback.

Local Branch Questions

Contact the local Terminix branch when the concern involves:

  • A particular technician
  • Local appointment availability
  • Branch scheduling
  • Treatment access instructions
  • Inspection findings
  • Local service management
  • Equipment or materials left at the property

Use Terminix’s official branch locator to identify the location serving the property.

Corporate Inquiries

Terminix provides a corporate-inquiry form through its contact page. The company specifically states that the corporate form is not monitored for ordinary customer-service questions.

Use the corporate form for appropriate company, media, business, vendor, partnership, or general corporate inquiries. Use Customer Service for an active pest-control account or unresolved residential service complaint.

How to Escalate a Terminix Complaint

  1. Contact the technician or local branch. Begin locally when the concern involves a missed visit, incomplete treatment, inspection, property access, or technician conduct.
  2. Call Terminix Customer Service. Use 1-855-485-6300.
  3. Request a case number. Record the date, approximate time, representative’s name, branch, issue reported, promised action, and expected follow-up date.
  4. Ask for branch-management review. Request contact from a service manager or branch manager when repeated local contacts have not resolved the concern.
  5. Use text or chat for a written record. Save the transcript and take screenshots before closing the conversation.
  6. Follow up through the same case. Refer to the earlier case number and avoid starting over without mentioning the prior complaint.
  7. Send a written complaint when appropriate. Correspondence may be addressed to Terminix, 150 Peabody Place, Memphis, TN 38103, after confirming that this is the correct destination for the issue.

A useful complaint should explain:

  • The service address
  • Terminix branch involved
  • Type of pest or service
  • Plan or agreement involved
  • Appointment and treatment dates
  • Technicians or departments contacted
  • What went wrong
  • What Terminix promised
  • The specific resolution requested

Do not post an account number, service address, gate code, payment information, signature, contract number, private telephone number, email address, or other sensitive information in a public review.

Terminix Missed Appointment and Scheduling Complaints

Several reviews on this page describe appointments being missed, moved, or scheduled without sufficient customer coordination.

When an appointment is created or changed:

  • Save the confirmation text or email.
  • Confirm the date and service window.
  • Ask whether someone must be present.
  • Confirm which areas of the property require access.
  • Ask whether exterior-only service can occur without the customer present.
  • Request advance notice before a technician arrives.

If no technician arrives, contact Customer Service and request:

  • An explanation of the appointment status
  • A replacement appointment
  • Written confirmation of the new date
  • Review of any charge connected to the missed service
  • Branch-management follow-up when the problem has occurred repeatedly

Record each missed appointment and every date that Terminix rescheduled the visit. A complete timeline is helpful when requesting a credit, refund, contract review, or cancellation.

Automatically Scheduled Terminix Service

Recurring pest-control plans may involve periodic visits that are scheduled by the branch. Customers who need to approve every visit should ask Terminix to place clear communication instructions on the account.

Confirm whether:

  • Exterior service may occur when no one is home.
  • Interior treatment requires an appointment.
  • The customer will receive a text, call, or email before service.
  • A scheduled visit can be changed through MyAccount.
  • A late cancellation or inaccessible property can affect billing.

After changing an appointment by phone, text, or chat, ask for written confirmation that the original date was removed.

How to Cancel Terminix Service

Cancellation requirements may depend on the service agreement, plan, location, minimum commitment, renewal terms, and work already completed. Review the signed agreement before requesting cancellation.

To begin:

  1. Call Customer Service at 1-855-485-6300.
  2. Identify every active service or plan on the account.
  3. State clearly that you are requesting cancellation rather than rescheduling or temporarily pausing service.
  4. Ask for the effective cancellation date.
  5. Ask whether any final payment, fee, inspection, or scheduled visit remains.
  6. Request a cancellation or case number.
  7. Request written confirmation by email or text.

If the agreement requires written notice, follow the exact address, delivery method, and notice period stated in the contract. Use trackable delivery and retain a copy of everything sent.

Stopping a card payment or disputing an individual charge does not necessarily cancel the underlying service agreement. Continue seeking direct confirmation from Terminix.

Terminix Billing and Payment Complaints

Terminix customers can use MyAccount to review account information and make payments. Contact Customer Service when a bill, automatic payment, prepaid service, or account balance appears incorrect.

Before contacting Terminix, gather:

  • Account statement
  • Service agreement
  • Payment date and amount
  • Bank or card record
  • Scheduled service dates
  • Services actually completed
  • Credits or refunds previously promised
  • Case numbers from earlier contacts

Ask for an itemized explanation showing:

  • Service period covered
  • Type of treatment billed
  • Prepaid amount
  • Recurring charge
  • Discount or promotion
  • Credit applied
  • Refund status
  • Remaining account balance

If a promised credit or refund does not appear, follow up through the original case and provide the date and representative who authorized it.

Prepaid Terminix Service Complaints

One review currently visible on this page describes paying for a year of service in advance and then receiving fewer visits than expected.

Customers considering prepaid service should request written confirmation of:

  • Number or frequency of planned treatments
  • Plan start and end dates
  • Whether appointments are automatically scheduled
  • What happens when an appointment is missed
  • Whether unused service is refundable
  • Renewal terms
  • Cancellation terms

Compare the agreement with the service history in MyAccount. Report missing visits promptly rather than waiting until the end of the prepaid period.

Terminix Termite Treatment Complaints

Termite service may include an inspection, treatment plan, monitoring, renewal, retreatment commitment, and location-dependent damage-repair coverage. The exact benefits depend on the signed plan.

Keep copies of:

  • Initial termite inspection
  • Graph or diagram of the property
  • Treatment proposal
  • Service agreement
  • Guarantee or warranty terms
  • Treatment dates and products used
  • Annual inspection reports
  • Renewal payments
  • Photographs of mud tubes, insects, wings, or damage
  • Retreatment and repair records

If termites or signs of activity remain after treatment:

  1. Contact the servicing branch promptly.
  2. Request a reinspection.
  3. Identify the areas where activity was observed.
  4. Ask whether the plan provides retreatment.
  5. Request written findings and the next treatment plan.
  6. Ask which guarantee provision applies.
  7. Escalate through Customer Service if the branch does not respond.

Do not disturb active termite evidence unnecessarily before the inspection. Photographs and intact evidence may help the technician evaluate the concern.

Terminix Guarantee Complaints

Terminix promotes service guarantees, but the exact guarantee depends on the service, plan, region, pests covered, customer compliance, and written agreement.

Before relying on a guarantee, confirm:

  • Which pests are covered
  • Whether retreatment is included
  • Whether damage repair is included
  • Maximum repair coverage, if any
  • Required inspections or renewals
  • Customer maintenance obligations
  • Exclusions
  • How and when a claim must be reported

Ask Terminix to identify the specific provision that supports a denial, retreatment decision, repair decision, or coverage limitation.

Pests Returning After Terminix Treatment

A recurring pest sighting does not always mean that treatment failed. Some treatments require time, follow-up service, sanitation changes, exclusion repairs, moisture correction, or multiple visits.

When pests return:

  • Record the date and location.
  • Take photographs when safe.
  • Identify the pest when possible.
  • Avoid moving contaminated items to another room.
  • Follow preparation instructions supplied by Terminix.
  • Request follow-up service under the plan.
  • Ask what conditions may be contributing to the problem.

For fleas, bed bugs, rodents, termites, wildlife, or other persistent problems, ask for a written explanation of the treatment sequence and the customer preparation required before each visit.

Terminix Technician Complaints

Report concerns about technician conduct, incomplete service, property access, missed areas, treatment documentation, or failure to follow instructions to the branch manager and Customer Service.

Include:

  • Date and approximate arrival time
  • Type of service scheduled
  • Areas treated or not treated
  • Instructions provided before the visit
  • Condition of the property afterward
  • Photographs when appropriate
  • Whether a service report was provided

Avoid posting the full name, personal telephone number, vehicle plate, schedule, home address, or other private information of a nonexecutive employee.

Terminix Property-Damage Complaints

Property concerns may involve drilling, crawl-space work, insulation, exclusion repairs, ladders, gates, landscaping, floors, walls, attics, roofs, plumbing, wiring, or treatment materials.

If damage is discovered:

  1. Photograph the area before moving or repairing it when safe.
  2. Report it to the branch promptly.
  3. Request a claim or case number.
  4. Preserve invoices and repair estimates.
  5. Ask whether the technician was a Terminix employee or outside contractor.
  6. Do not sign a release without reading it carefully.

For an urgent water, electrical, structural, chemical, or gas hazard, contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified professional rather than waiting for ordinary customer-service review.

Pesticide, Pet and Family Safety Questions

Before treatment, tell the technician about children, pets, pregnancy, respiratory sensitivities, aquariums, gardens, food-preparation areas, wells, and other conditions that may affect treatment planning.

Request:

  • The product name
  • EPA registration information when applicable
  • Safety Data Sheet or label
  • Areas being treated
  • Preparation instructions
  • Reentry instructions
  • Pet and aquarium precautions
  • Cleanup instructions

Follow the product label and the technician’s written instructions. For a suspected poisoning, serious reaction, breathing difficulty, or immediate medical emergency, leave the affected area and contact emergency medical services or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

Terminix MyAccount Problems

Terminix MyAccount may be used to review account information and pay bills. Customers who cannot register or verify their service address may call 1-855-348-3152.

Before calling, have available:

  • Name on the account
  • Service address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Recent invoice or service record
  • Description or screenshot of the error

Do not provide a password, one-time security code, full card number, or bank credentials to an unexpected caller, text sender, or email recipient.

Terminix Human Resources and Careers

Terminix does not prominently publish a general public Human Resources phone number for applicants, former employees, or the public.

Job applicants should use the official Rentokil Terminix careers website to search available positions, create a candidate account, and review application instructions.

Current employees should use the internal manager, Human Resources, payroll, benefits, ethics, or employee-support contacts supplied by Rentokil Terminix.

Customer-service representatives may not have access to job applications, employment records, payroll information, benefits, or personnel complaints.

Who Owns Terminix?

Terminix is owned by Rentokil Initial plc. Rentokil completed its acquisition of Terminix Global Holdings in October 2022.

Terminix is therefore no longer a separately traded public company. Rentokil Initial trades under the stock symbol RTO on the London Stock Exchange and through American Depositary Shares on the New York Stock Exchange.

The former Terminix corporate stock listing and historical ticker information should not be used to identify the company’s current ownership.

About Terminix

Terminix traces its history to 1927. E. L. Bruce operated a hardwood flooring company in Memphis and sought a way to protect wood flooring from termite damage. Senior chemist Frank Lyons developed an early termiticide, leading to the Bruce Terminix Research Laboratory and the Terminix name.

Terminix now provides services that may include:

  • General pest control
  • Termite inspections and treatment
  • Rodent and wildlife control
  • Mosquito and tick control
  • Bed bug treatment
  • Cockroach, ant, spider, flea, and stinging-insect control
  • Crawl-space services
  • Attic and crawl-space insulation
  • Gutter protection
  • Wildlife exclusion
  • Commercial pest management

Service availability, pricing, guarantees, treatment methods, pests covered, and contract terms vary by location and plan.

Terminix Reviews and Common Complaint Themes

The reviews currently visible on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com are critical. They describe individual customer experiences and have not been independently verified as companywide practices.

Current Terminix review themes include:

  • Termites allegedly continuing after substantial spending on protection and treatment
  • Pests returning or remaining after an initial service
  • Appointments scheduled without adequate customer approval
  • Repeatedly rescheduled or missed inspections
  • Technicians failing to arrive or call
  • Prepaid visits not occurring at the expected frequency
  • Difficulty receiving a credit, refund, or effective follow-up
  • Long-term customers considering cancellation after service changes

A complaint involving one branch, technician, appointment, pest, or service plan does not necessarily represent every Terminix location.

Reviews are most helpful when they include the city and state, approximate date, pest involved, type of plan, appointments scheduled, treatments completed, departments contacted, response received, and final outcome.

Terminix Frustrating Unresolved Experience

May 26, 2025

Terminix, I paid thousands of dollars for termite protection, and I still have termites all over. Terminix promised results but failed to deliver. They keep sending out technicians who either don’t follow through or provide misleading information. I’m extremely frustrated and feel like I’ve been given the runaround. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contact local media. This has been one of the worst service experiences I’ve had.

Terminix Disappointing Customer Service

November 11, 2024

Terminix, If I could give Zero, I would. I have been a satisfied customer for over 25 years with a monthly service. A few months ago, I opted to pay for a year in advance. That was a Bad Mistake! My regular service guy (whom I loved, retired) and last June was his service. Since then, nothing but problems. In the five months since, I only got one service, the last day of September. That’s one monthly service out of Five months. And that was after three times that I was told a service is coming and no one came. When I called upset, and asked , I was told that it was canceled! I was told the service appointment is not guaranteed!!! So I sat waiting for them to come and they didn’t even bothered to call to let me know it was rescheduled to a weekday that I am not available. Very disappointed. It’s a shame that after over 25 yrs I’m thinking of shopping around for a new company.
