TruGreen Disappointing Customer Service

August 27, 2024

TruGreen, Entire yard dead in 15 months. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the state of my lawn after receiving lawn care services from TruGreen for nearly two years. Despite multiple attempts to address the issues, my lawn has continued to deteriorate. Initially, I was drawn to TruGreen due to their extensive marketing and claims of expertise. However, the results have been quite the opposite. My lawn has progressively yellowed, developed dead patches, and has now been diagnosed with cinch bugs. I have consistently communicated these concerns to TruGreen’s customer service representatives, who have repeatedly suggested that I increase watering. However, my lawn receives ample water through both a full irrigation system and frequent rainfall in Florida. Additionally, the speed at which the TruGreen technicians complete their services raises questions about the quality of care. It seems unreasonable that a 125,000 square foot lawn can be adequately sprayed in only 10 minutes. Recent observations have revealed that even the tires of TruGreen’s equipment are causing damage to my lawn, leaving dead patches wherever they pass. This suggests that the company may be using harmful chemicals that are not only harming my lawn but also potentially contaminating their equipment. Given the significant damage caused to my lawn and the fact that TruGreen’s services have likely contributed to the problem, I am requesting that the company cover the costs of resodding my lawn. I am not seeking profit but simply compensation for the damage done. Furthermore, I believe it is appropriate for TruGreen to change its name to “TruBrown” to reflect the state of the lawns it has treated. I hope you will take this matter seriously and address my concerns promptly. The two pictures seen was July 2023 The others are now August 2024.

TruGreen recognitios and recommendations. Nycontacts@Trugreenmail.Com To The Attention Of Whom It Concerns. I Want To Let Corporate Know Of The Following Employees. Haley At Customer Hot Line In New Jersey, Anna Kusi Customer Service Long Island, Valerie T At Regional Manager In Ohio, And John Mula Field Tech Who Came To Service My House. But First And Foremost, I Want To Offer A Sincere Thank You To The Three Above-mentioned Ladies And John Who Deserve Recognition For A Job Well Done. They Did Their Jobs In A Professional/Caring Fashion And Promptly Saw To My Needs Regarding My Lawn. Thank You! …..Also, I Want To Make A Statement Regarding The Young Man Who Serviced My Property Today, Mr. John Mula. He Was Most Friendly, Showed Concern, Was Patient With Me As I Spoke With Him In Detail Of Why He Was Here And What Results I Was Seeking In The Future. I Never In The Past Felt This Comfortable With Any Other Applicators Who Came To My House Like I Did With John Mula. I’d Like (If Possible) For Him/John Mula To Be My Visiting/Service Applicator For My Lawn In The Future And Next Season, If He Still Is Employed At Trugreen. I Don’t Know If He Is Qualified To Use The Aerator Machine, But If He Is Please Send Him, If Not Please Teach Him How To Operate This Machine. I Don’t Know How Much He Makes Per Hour, But I Do Know He Deserves A Minimum Of A $1.50 An Hour Increase In His Hourly Rate, He Should Earn More Than Those Who Just Show Up, Rush Through The Job And Basically Bs Me. Why Should John Make The Same As They Do? I Know My Statement To Be True Because If Not For Him And The Three Ladies Mentioned Above, I Unequivocally Would Have Canceled My Service Contract With Trugreen. It Is People Like These Three People Who Keep Your Trucks, Wheels Turning And Corporate Doors Open! Remember This, Service And Results Are The Best Ingredients Of Any Business. My Rating Before My Comment Was A 2. Hopefully Come Next Season I Can Make It A 5 With All The Changes I Am Being Promised. So, For Now I Will Rate The Company A 3.5. Ps, In The Box Below That Ask, Do I Have Photos To Share. Miss Anna Kusi And John Mula Seen My Lawn Before Trugree Took It Over, It Was! Ballpark Rated/5. So, I Will Let Them Speak For Its Prior Condition……Thank You.

TruGreen aerated the wrong yard. Technician aerated my tree lawn before realizing he was at the wrong address. Never talked to us or left a message. Tore up my tree lawn, see pictures. I have sod in my tree lawn, I keep it watered and fertilized. I called local TruGreen office, Brunswick Ohio, and was told someone would call me in next 24 hours. 3 days later and I have not heard from anyone. I can’t download photos because your website doesn’t allow PDF files to be downloaded.

TruGreen Customer Service

Simply the worst experience and outcome! As a homeowner, I pre-paid for the entire year and the result is a dead, brown, scorched earth front yard. My goal was to have a nice front yard and this should have been doable with a company like TruGreen – they are in the business of lawn care and how any application/program could result in such a unsatisfactory/unimaginable lawn is hard to fathom. I cannot speak with a local TruGreen branch supervisor – customer service can provide no options because again my lawn is destroyed. I have sent pictures that should alarm any employee as this is what I paid for and the company has failed this customer. As a large corporation, there should be some accountability when the service you paid for is totally unacceptable but the resounding feeling I have is – they truly don’t care. If they did – there would be a means to a satisfactory resolution where in you work with a local supervisor/manager to correct the problems created by the service/applications provided. I would never recommend this company – I am aware of others who have also had their lawn completely ruined – they are not trustworthy and their promise of a Healthy Lawn Guarantee is nothing but a falsehood.

I would welcome a call from Corporate.
