Woolworths Head Office: Corporate Contacts and Complaints

🗨  Comments

Woolworths Group’s head office handles corporate, investor, supplier and other company-level enquiries. Routine supermarket complaints, online-order problems, refunds, product concerns and Everyday Rewards issues should normally begin with the Woolworths customer-service channel responsible for the transaction.

Woolworths Group’s official head-office telephone number is +61 2 8885 0000. The company currently publishes general enquiry hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM local New South Wales time.

How to Submit a Woolworths Complaint

  1. Identify whether the issue involves a store, online order, Marketplace partner or another Woolworths Group business.
  2. Collect the receipt, order confirmation, product packaging and relevant photographs.
  3. Contact the store manager when the matter can be resolved locally.
  4. Use the official Woolworths contact page for customer-service escalation.
  5. Describe the problem factually and in chronological order.
  6. Explain the resolution being requested.
  7. Ask for a case or reference number.
  8. Save forms, chat records, emails and refund confirmations.
  9. Follow up using the same case reference.
  10. Contact Woolworths Group head office only after the responsible operating team has had a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Posting a public review is not a substitute for submitting a complaint directly to Woolworths.

Information to Include in a Woolworths Complaint

  • Store name and suburb
  • Date and approximate time
  • Receipt or transaction information
  • Online order number
  • Product name and package size
  • Barcode or item number
  • Use-by or best-before date
  • Batch or lot code
  • Description of the problem
  • Photographs when relevant
  • Previous support case number
  • Requested resolution

Provide order numbers, receipts, addresses and payment information only through private official channels. Do not publish them in a review.

Woolworths In-Store Complaints

Store management is usually the first point of contact for concerns involving:

  • Staff service
  • Checkout availability
  • Self-checkout equipment
  • Shelf pricing
  • Register pricing
  • Store cleanliness
  • Product availability
  • Queues
  • Accessibility
  • Store facilities

Record the store, date and approximate time. Do not publicly identify an individual employee when the concern can be investigated using private details supplied directly to Woolworths.

Woolworths Online Order Complaints

Use the support tools associated with the Woolworths account or order for issues involving:

  • Cancelled orders
  • Missing products
  • Damaged products
  • Substitutions
  • Delivery delays
  • Delivery instructions
  • Direct to Boot or collection orders
  • Incorrect charges
  • Refunds
  • Account access

Keep the order confirmation, tax invoice, cancellation notice, delivery message and photographs of damaged or unsuitable products.

Delayed Woolworths Refunds

When a refund does not appear:

  1. Confirm that Woolworths approved the refund.
  2. Record the approval date and amount.
  3. Check whether the original transaction was pending or completed.
  4. Verify the original payment method.
  5. Review the normal processing period stated by Woolworths.
  6. Contact customer support using the original order and case details.
  7. Contact the bank or payment provider after Woolworths confirms that the credit was issued.

A pending authorisation, cancelled authorisation and completed refund are different card-account events. The card issuer controls when an issued credit appears on the account.

Woolworths Returns Policy

Woolworths publishes different policies for supermarket products, Woolworths Mobile, Everyday Market products and MILKRUN orders. Confirm which policy applies before returning an item.

For qualifying Woolworths supermarket, Metro and online purchases:

  • Eligible change-of-mind products generally must be returned within 30 days.
  • Proof of purchase is generally required.
  • The product must be unused and in its original condition and packaging.
  • Perishable items must not be expired or within two days of expiry.
  • The usual change-of-mind remedy is a store-credit voucher rather than a cash refund.
  • Exclusions include tobacco, gift cards, mobile phones, SIM products and recharge vouchers.

Faulty-product rights and Australian Consumer Law guarantees are separate from a voluntary change-of-mind policy.

Faulty Woolworths Products

Woolworths states that faulty products may qualify for a refund, replacement or repair when proof of purchase is provided.

For some higher-value products:

  • The product may require assessment.
  • It may be sent to the manufacturer or a repair agent.
  • Stored data may be lost during repair.
  • A refurbished replacement or refurbished parts may be used.

Back up data and remove private information before returning an electronic product whenever possible.

Fresh or Free Guarantee

Eligible fresh-food products sold in-store or online may be covered by Woolworths’ Fresh or Free Guarantee.

Subject to the current policy:

  • An eligible customer may receive a refund.
  • An eligible customer may also receive a replacement.
  • Online customers can receive a refund through the online process.
  • An online customer may need to return the product to a store to receive the additional replacement.

Check the current policy and product eligibility before assuming that both remedies apply.

Food-Safety and Product-Quality Concerns

Stop consuming a product that appears moldy, contaminated, incorrectly sealed, unusually discoloured or otherwise unsafe.

  1. Preserve the product and packaging securely.
  2. Record the use-by or best-before date.
  3. Record the batch or lot code.
  4. Photograph the product and packaging.
  5. Keep the receipt or transaction record.
  6. Contact Woolworths promptly through an official channel.
  7. Follow any instructions about refrigeration, return or disposal.

Do not mail food to Woolworths Group headquarters without written instructions. Customer service cannot diagnose illness. Seek appropriate medical assistance for symptoms and emergency care for an urgent or severe reaction.

Woolworths Product Recalls

Woolworths publishes current recall information on its official website. A recall notice may identify:

  • The affected product
  • Package size
  • Date markings
  • Batch information
  • Stores or regions affected
  • The reason for the recall
  • The action customers should take
  • Refund or disposal instructions

Follow the specific recall notice. Do not consume an affected product or send it to the corporate office.

Everyday Market and Partner Products

Everyday Market products are sold and shipped by Marketplace partners and are covered by a separate returns policy.

Check the order confirmation for:

  • The seller’s name
  • The company that accepted payment
  • Shipping and tracking information
  • Return eligibility
  • Warranty responsibility

The Marketplace seller may be responsible for fulfilment, warranty information and return processing, while Woolworths controls the Marketplace platform and its published customer process.

Everyday Rewards Support

Everyday Rewards account matters should be handled through the official Everyday Rewards website or app.

Examples include:

  • Missing points
  • Account access
  • Member offers
  • Linked cards
  • Reward redemptions
  • Everyday Extra
  • Qantas Points conversion

Do not publish an Everyday Rewards membership number, account email, password or verification code.

Woolworths Group Shareholder Contacts

Contact the registry for shareholdings, dividends, addresses, payment instructions and shareholder statements. Do not post a shareholder reference number, holder identification number, tax information or bank details publicly.

Woolworths Group Corporate Structure and Leadership

  • Company: Woolworths Group Limited
  • ASX code: WOW
  • Chair: Scott Perkins
  • Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director: Amanda Bardwell
  • Managing Director, Woolworths Retail: Annette Karantoni

Leadership roles can change. Verify current directors and executives through Woolworths Group’s official leadership pages before sending named correspondence.

When to Contact Woolworths Head Office

The corporate office may be appropriate for:

  • Company-level business enquiries
  • Corporate-governance correspondence
  • Formal escalation after customer-service review
  • Major supplier or stakeholder matters
  • Investor and corporate communications
  • Issues involving more than one Woolworths Group business

The corporate office is generally not the fastest route for:

  • An immediate store refund
  • A missing grocery delivery
  • A damaged or substituted product
  • An Everyday Rewards points issue
  • A current product recall
  • A local store’s opening hours
  • An Everyday Market return

How to Escalate an Unresolved Woolworths Complaint

  1. Start with the store or operating business responsible for the transaction.
  2. Use the official Woolworths customer-contact process.
  3. Request a case number.
  4. Provide supporting documents privately.
  5. State the requested outcome clearly.
  6. Allow a reasonable response period.
  7. Follow up using the same case number.
  8. Send a concise corporate escalation if the matter remains unresolved.
  9. Consider the relevant consumer, food-safety, privacy, employment or financial regulator when appropriate.

The appropriate external body depends on the issue. A grocery purchase, food-safety report, privacy concern, financial product, telecommunications service and workplace complaint may each have a different regulator or dispute-resolution process.

Woolworths Scam and Impersonation Warnings

  • Use official Woolworths and Woolworths Group websites.
  • Do not trust a telephone number solely because it appears in a sponsored result.
  • Do not share gift-card numbers or security codes with an unexpected caller.
  • Do not provide passwords or verification codes.
  • Do not allow an unknown person to control your computer or phone remotely.
  • Verify unexpected survey, prize, refund and recruitment messages.
  • Do not pay a supposed refund or job fee using gift cards or cryptocurrency.
  • Contact the card issuer directly about an unauthorised completed charge.

  • Everyday Rewards account information
  • Gift-card number or PIN
  • Banking or payment details
  • Password or verification code
  • Medical records

Woolworths Head Office Reviews and Complaints

CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com currently displays two Woolworths reviews dated March 2025.

One reviewer reports a possible product-quality or food-safety concern involving packaged boiled peanuts. The other reports a delayed refund after Woolworths cancelled an online delivery.

These are individual, unverified customer allegations. They should not be treated as evidence of company-wide customer sentiment or as confirmation that a product was contaminated.
