Air Conditioning Vandalized and Not Covered

Last summer my ac quit working in the state of texas. Repair people were sent but they said my outside unit was vandalized and would not cover. It is a outside unit and could been vandalized but to my knowledge no one in the household did it and was not aware of that issue. Not a good outcome on this claim

American Home Shield Run-Around

Rated 1.0 out of 5
December 19, 2023

On November 9th, 2023 American Home Shield sent a technician out to repair a leak in our bathtub faucet. The technician said that he needed a special tool because turning it would cause the pipes to break. He said that he would need to contact American Home Shield. I never saw that individual again. American Home Shield sent another company over and that technician did exactly what the first technician said not to do and broke the pipes. He then said that he could fix it but would need to replace the broken pipe. To do this, he said that he would need to cut a hole in the wall. I asked him if they would repair the hole and he told me that American Home Shield would send someone out to repair the hole in the wall. A couple of weeks went by and no wall repair. I called American Home Shield and was told that they were looking for a technician. A couple more weeks went by so I called again and received the same answer. A week later, I was offered a cash-out option of 120.00 for me to repair the wall myself, which I declined. They then told me that they were still hoping to find a technician. It was now getting close to Thanksgiving and still no repair. I received an email asking about the cash out option which I declined again. I called again during the first week of December. It’s like they had amnesia so I had to repeat the whole story. And received the same answer; we’re still looking for a technician. I’m frustrated at this point but I said ok. It’s now December 19th. I called them again and this time I was told that since I declined the cash-out offer back in November, they stopped the search for a technician to repair the hole in the wall. You can now imagine how I’m feeling at this point. The supervisor that I spoke to says that she is going to escalate the ticket (Which I’ve heard from about four other individuals I’ve spoken to over the last month and a half.). All I want is for them to stick to their agreement. I assume that if I stop paying them monthly, they will honor their agreement by not providing services any longer. I should get the same respect. I just want them to fix the hole in my wall!

Poor Poor Customer service from AHS

The time frame for getting appliances repaired is ridiculous. Basic dryer repair 4 – 5 weeks. Basic dishwasher repair and replacement approximately 8 weeks. Then try to talk to AHS about issues. you will have better luck getting into Fort Knox. They hide from the customer and make you do circles on the internet and end up in the same place. THEN they send SEARS out for repairs… Sears is not the Sears we grew up with. Incompetence at its finest on several occasions. I paid faithfully for years and finally have had enough. I am now with CHOICE Warranty. CHOICE has employees that you talk to when you call.

American Home Shield Denied My Claim

Rated 1.0 out of 5
December 8, 2023

I gave American Home Shield proof stove caught on fire right after Thanksgiving and they denied my claim because the Fire Marshall remove stove from the house and deemed unsafe. I have been with American Home Shield for approximately 20 years monthly fee taken automatically from my account like clockwork. Service fee of $108.00 paid timely too. It’s the holidays. I am hoping someone from the company see this complaint and fix this issue.
