Farmers Insurance Corporate Office, Headquarters Address and Phone Number

🗨  Comments

Farmers Insurance maintains its primary publicly listed corporate and customer-service address at 6301 Owensmouth Avenue in Woodland Hills, California. This page provides the Farmers Insurance corporate office address, verified customer-care and claims phone numbers, leadership and ownership information, claims-document guidance, policy-cancellation steps, complaint escalation options, and current reader-review themes.

Farmers Insurance Corporate Office Address and Phone Numbers

Corporate phone clarification: Farmers does not prominently publish a separate executive-office telephone number. The best verified general contact number is Customer Care at 1-888-327-6335. Policyholders should normally contact their Farmers agent, Customer Care, or the department handling their claim rather than trying to reach an executive through the corporate address.

Human resources clarification: Farmers does not publicly identify a general HR phone number. Applicants should use the official careers portal. Current and former employees should use the internal HR, payroll, benefits, manager, or employee-support contact supplied by Farmers.

Farmers Insurance corporate office address in Woodland Hills and customer care phone number
Farmers Insurance lists 6301 Owensmouth Avenue for customer-service correspondence and 1-888-327-6335 as its main Customer Care number.

Where Is Farmers Insurance Headquarters?

Farmers Insurance uses 6301 Owensmouth Avenue, Woodland Hills, California 91367 as its primary publicly listed corporate and customer-service mailing address.

The Woodland Hills address is appropriate for general customer-service correspondence and certain corporate matters. It should not automatically be used for premium payments, claim documents, legal notices, life-insurance correspondence, cancellation notices, or documents connected with a particular Farmers underwriting company.

Farmers is not one single insurance corporation issuing every product. Different Farmers-affiliated insurers underwrite different policies, and their home offices, payment addresses, claim routes, and regulatory information can vary by product and state.

Check the declarations page, billing statement, claim correspondence, cancellation instructions, or other official policy documents before mailing anything time-sensitive.

Farmers Insurance Headquarters Address and Phone Number

The Farmers Insurance corporate and customer-service address is:

Farmers Insurance
6301 Owensmouth Avenue
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

The main verified Farmers Customer Care number is 1-888-327-6335. Farmers does not currently identify that number as a direct line to its CEO, executive team, legal department, or human resources department.

The previously listed number 1-800-493-4917 is associated with obtaining insurance quotes and should not be described as the corporate-office phone number.

The previously listed number 1-800-382-2150 is associated with Zurich North America services, including premium-audit matters. It is not the correct Farmers Insurance headquarters number.

Farmers Customer Service Phone Number

Farmers Customer Care can be reached at 1-888-327-6335.

Customer Care can assist with many general auto, home, renters, umbrella, account, agent, policy, billing, payment, cancellation, and online-access questions.

A local Farmers agent may be the best first contact for questions about coverage, policy changes, discounts, adding or removing a vehicle, named insureds, property details, renewal terms, or cancellation.

Farmers Insurance Claims Phone Number

The Farmers Claims Call Center can be reached at 1-800-435-7764, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Claims can also be reported online or through the Farmers mobile app. Once the claim is assigned, questions about status, inspections, documents, estimates, payments, coverage decisions, or settlement calculations should normally go directly to the assigned claims representative.

Spanish-language claims assistance is available at 1-877-732-5266. Customers with a hearing or speech disability may use 711 to reach the Federal Telecommunications Relay Service.

Farmers Home Insurance Phone Number

Farmers Renters Insurance Phone Number

Renters-policy questions generally use the main Customer Care number at 1-888-327-6335. Renters claims can be reported through the Claims Center or by calling 1-800-435-7764.

Farmers Life Insurance Phone Number

Farmers life insurance is issued by Farmers New World Life Insurance Company. To report a life-insurance claim or speak with its life-claims department, call 1-800-238-9671.

Life-policy service, beneficiary, premium, loan, cash-value, annuity, and claim correspondence may use different contact routes. Check the policy documents or contact the Farmers agent before mailing sensitive records.

What Is the Farmers Claims Mailing Address?

Farmers does not publish one universal claims mailing address for every policy and claim.

The correct destination can depend on:

  • The Farmers underwriting company named on the policy
  • The policyholder’s state
  • The type of claim
  • Whether the claim involves auto, home, business, liability, catastrophe, life, GroupSelect, Foremost, or another product
  • The assigned claim number and claims office
  • The type of document being submitted

Customers can upload receipts, photographs, estimates, and other claim documents through the official claims portal. The assigned claims representative can also provide the correct upload, email, fax, or mailing instructions.

Do not send original evidence, medical records, repair invoices, title documents, death certificates, financial records, or time-sensitive claim materials to the Woodland Hills headquarters unless Farmers specifically directs you to do so.

Farmers Billing and Payment Contact Information

Personal-policy bill payments can be handled through the Farmers website, the mobile app, a Farmers agent, or Customer Care at 1-888-327-6335.

Commercial bill-payment assistance is available at 1-855-323-5350.

Farmers publishes separate mailing addresses for personal and commercial payments:

  • Personal Bill Payments: P.O. Box 0991, Carol Stream, IL 60132-0991
  • Commercial Bill Payments: P.O. Box 4665, Carol Stream, IL 60197-4665

Use the payment address printed on the current bill whenever it differs from a general online listing. Include the correct policy or billing-account information and retain proof of payment.

How to Cancel a Farmers Insurance Policy

Farmers advises policyholders with an agent to begin by contacting that agent. Policyholders who cannot reach their agent or do not have one can call Customer Care at 1-888-327-6335.

  1. Confirm the exact policy or policies being canceled.
  2. Choose the requested cancellation date carefully.
  3. Make sure replacement coverage is active before canceling required insurance.
  4. Ask whether a signed cancellation form or written request is required.
  5. Request written confirmation showing the effective date.
  6. Ask about any remaining balance, prorated refund, automatic payment, payroll deduction, or bundled-policy change.
  7. Save emails, forms, postal tracking, confirmation numbers, and billing records.
  8. Monitor the payment account and future statements after cancellation.

Deleting a Farmers.com login or removing the mobile app does not cancel an insurance policy. Canceling an automatic payment also does not necessarily terminate the underlying insurance contract.

If an auto or homeowners policy is connected to a lender, lease, escrow account, employer program, or payroll deduction, additional notice may be required.

Who Owns Farmers Insurance?

The Farmers ownership structure is more complicated than a conventional parent-and-subsidiary relationship.

The Farmers Exchanges consist of three reciprocal insurers:

  • Farmers Insurance Exchange
  • Fire Insurance Exchange
  • Truck Insurance Exchange

These reciprocal exchanges are owned by their policyholders, who are also referred to as subscribers.

Farmers Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries provide administrative and management services to the Exchanges as attorneys-in-fact. Farmers Group, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group.

Therefore, it is accurate to say that Zurich owns Farmers Group, Inc., the management company. It is not accurate to say that Zurich directly owns the policyholder-owned Farmers Exchanges.

Additional insurers and financial-services companies operate under or alongside the Farmers brand, including Mid-Century companies, Farmers New World Life Insurance Company, Farmers GroupSelect insurers, Farmers Financial Solutions, and other affiliated entities.

Who Is the CEO of Farmers Insurance?

Raul Vargas is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Farmers Group, Inc. He became CEO in January 2023 and has served as Chairman since August 2023.

Vargas is also a member of Zurich Insurance Group’s Executive Committee. His background includes leadership roles in insurance distribution, life insurance, financial services, and international insurance markets.

Because Farmers includes reciprocal exchanges, a Zurich-owned management company, underwriting companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, and distribution brands, executive titles may differ depending on the entity involved.

About Farmers Insurance

Farmers traces its history to 1928, when its founders began offering automobile insurance to rural drivers. It later expanded into homeowners, renters, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, umbrella, business, life, financial, and specialty products.

Farmers serves customers through exclusive Farmers agencies, independent agents, call centers, online services, company employees, and affiliated brands.

Products and availability vary by state and underwriting company. Each insurer is financially responsible for the policies it issues.

How to Escalate a Farmers Insurance Complaint

  1. Contact the responsible department. Begin with the agent, Customer Care, assigned claims representative, billing team, or policy-service team connected to the issue.
  2. Request a reference number. Record the date, time, department, representative’s name if provided, and any promised response date.
  3. Ask for supervisory review. Explain what remains unresolved and request review by a supervisor, claims manager, policy-services manager, or other appropriate decision-maker.
  4. Submit supporting information securely. Use the Farmers account, claim portal, or delivery method supplied by the representative.
  5. Request the decision in writing. For a claim or coverage dispute, ask for the applicable policy language and the factual basis for the decision.
  6. Keep a complete chronology. Save correspondence, estimates, photographs, statements, policy documents, payment confirmations, cancellation requests, inspection reports, and previous case numbers.
  7. Protect deadlines. Insurance claims, appeals, lawsuits, payment disputes, and regulatory complaints may be subject to contractual or legal time limits.
  8. Contact the appropriate state regulator when necessary. Insurance companies and agents are primarily regulated by state insurance departments.

Farmers headquarters cannot guarantee that a claim will be approved, change policy coverage, override applicable law, or replace the formal appeal, appraisal, mediation, regulatory, arbitration, or court procedures that may apply.

File a Complaint With a State Insurance Department

A policyholder who remains dissatisfied after attempting to resolve an issue with Farmers may contact the insurance department in the state that regulates the policy or claim.

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners provides a directory for locating state insurance departments and their consumer-complaint procedures.

Find your state insurance department.

A state insurance department may review whether the insurer followed state insurance laws and regulations. It generally cannot act as the policyholder’s private attorney or guarantee payment of a disputed claim.

Farmers Claim Denials and Delays

Before disputing a claim decision, request the written coverage determination and identify:

  • The underwriting company named on the policy
  • The policy provisions, exclusions, endorsements, limits, or deductibles cited
  • The inspections and evidence considered
  • Any requested documents that remain outstanding
  • The available reconsideration, appraisal, appeal, mediation, or complaint process
  • The applicable deadline

Submit additional photographs, contractor reports, receipts, inventories, police reports, engineering information, or other relevant evidence through the secure route provided by the claim representative.

For complex, high-value, disputed, or time-sensitive matters, consider consulting an appropriately licensed insurance professional or attorney in the relevant state.

Farmers Insurance Reviews and Complaints

Visible reviews submitted to CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com include complaints involving policy cancellation, difficulty reaching an agent or company department, premium increases, loss of online account access, denied claims, slow claim communication, inspection concerns, and dissatisfaction with pricing.

One reviewer described difficulty canceling an automobile policy connected with a payroll-based automatic payment. Another long-term customer described communication problems after an agent change and a policy transition involving Foremost. Additional reviewers described a denied condominium loss-assessment claim, prolonged handling of a storm-damage claim, and concern about increasing insurance costs.

These comments are individual, unverified accounts. They do not prove that every Farmers policyholder, agent, adjuster, department, insurer, or claim will have the same experience.

When leaving a Farmers Insurance review, consider including:

  • The general policy type
  • The state in which the policy was issued
  • Whether the issue involved an agent, billing, cancellation, underwriting, or claims
  • The approximate dates involved
  • The contact routes used
  • Whether a supervisor or regulator reviewed the issue
  • The resolution requested
  • Whether the matter was ultimately resolved

Insurance Fraud and Impersonation Warning

Be cautious with unexpected calls, texts, emails, advertisements, and social media messages claiming to represent Farmers Insurance, a Farmers agent, a claims adjuster, a repair provider, or a premium-refund department.

  • Verify unexpected contacts through Farmers.com, the number on the policy documents, or a known Farmers agent.
  • Do not provide a password or one-time verification code to an unexpected caller.
  • Do not pay an insurance premium or deductible with gift cards or cryptocurrency.
  • Do not install remote-access software for an unsolicited representative.
  • Do not rely on an unverified email address or phone number posted in a public review.
  • Do not send claim documents through an insecure personal email account unless the assigned representative has confirmed the address.

Farmers Insurance, Canceling policy runaround. I am trying to cancel my auto policy because I went with somebody else for lower premiums. It’s been three weeks and all I’ve been getting is a runaround. I can’t seem to cancel the policy. I’ve put in writing. I’ve spoken to customer service four times.. Problem is it’s auto pay through my payroll at work! Do not go that route!

Farmers Insurance Frustrating Customer Service

January 15, 2025

Farmers Insurance, 5-10 years of No communication (except, your premium increases and policy changes) 1-14-2025. Your mandatory rating system range is 1 star to 5 stars. It should begin with 0 star to 5 stars. Farmers Insurance Extremely Frustrating and Superior in Disappointing! I’ve had FIG on my home for since around 2003. (don’t recall exact dd/mm/yyyy). Had all vehicles covered too, then I moved overseas in 2012. My home was then converted to a rental property. FIG turned it over to Foremost. Sadly, when all that took place over 13 years ago, coupled with my wonderful Agent selling her insurance company to another agent, after I left the U.S.. His management demeanor was not inviting, and he began having less communication. Pricing was skyrocketing and my ability to get in touch was severely diminished and he hardly ever replied, by email, telephone and text. I was also robbed of my ability to sign into my online home insurance account. My agent’s lack of action – indicated, it was my fault by refusing to contact IT or FIG about it. We verified, on many occasions, that he was not getting my emails, yet he didn’t try to find out why. Before that we were able to email back and forth. No support. In my opinion, he showed no compassion or interest in regaining that form of communication, leading me to believe he was just feeding me fodder by telling me “I tried but they never returned my call”! He says, “no one answered, or they never called him back.” Well, secondly, he never mentioned emailing them. True or not, no one in FIG has ever answered me wither. My latest to email@policy.farmers.com Wednesday, 12/04/2024 2:10 PM was never answered either. How about some REAL Customer Service – the type you always brag about?! P.S. During my BING/YAHOO internet searches looking for a good email address or telephone this is what I got 12 out of 15 times clicking one of your hot links: Farmers Insurance This page is currently unavailable. If you need to file a claim, please call 1-800-435-7764 For all other matters, please call 1-888-327-6335. Mon-Fri 7am-11pm CST. Sat-Sun 8am-8pm CST Or contact your Farmers agent. © 2023 Copyright, Farmers Insurance Group Respectfully.

Farmers Insurance Frustrating and Disappointing

January 9, 2025

Farmers Insurance, We have been customers of Farmers for 30+ years and have filed no claims in the past 15 years until recently. The process was terribly frustrating and the claim was denied. The interesting part is that this was a claim against our Association Loss Assessment for our condo. 75 others filed the exact same claim with a variety of other companies – same claim – different results. Most companies paid at least a portion of the claim, some as high as 100%. Farmers paid nothing. My agent was non responsive and not helpful. He was copied on all correspondence and never once offered assistance or even asked how it was progressing. I emailed him to let him know that I was shopping all three of my Farmer’s policies and he never returned the message or called to see if he could save the business. Needless to say, I have canceled my policies and sent my business to another company. This is after 30+ years with this company.

Farmers Insurance Frustrating Claim Process

November 26, 2024

Farmers Insurance, I’ve been a Farmers Insurance customer for over 30 years and recently filed my first claim after my home sustained storm damage in North Carolina. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Despite documented evidence of roof failure, interior damage, and mold provided by two roofing companies, Farmers has repeatedly refused to fully assess the situation. Adjusters have not inspected under the tarp protecting my roof, even after requests and intervention from the NC Department of Insurance. Communication has been slow, with long delays between responses and dismissive behavior from representatives. The lack of accountability and follow-through is disappointing, especially given the years of premiums I’ve paid. I’ve reached out to various consumer protection agencies and media outlets for assistance but have yet to see resolution. Farmers Insurance needs to prioritize fair treatment and proper claim handling for its loyal customers. This process has been stressful and unacceptable.

Farmers Insurance Pricing Practices

November 7, 2024

Farmers Insurance, I’m disappointed in your pricing practices. It feels like the cost can be raised whenever you want simply because insurance is required. You may lose customers because of this—I’m considering paying off my home just to avoid having insurance with you.
