Synchrony Corporate Office and Headquarters Contact Information

Headquarters / Corporate Office Update

Synchrony Financial is headquartered at 777 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, CT 06902. The corporate office phone number associated with Synchrony’s principal office is 1-203-585-2400.

The older version of this page correctly listed 1-866-419-4096 as a Synchrony customer service number, but that number should not be labeled as a dedicated corporate complaints department. Synchrony’s own contact page directs customers to the correct account category first and lists 1-866-419-4096 as a general support number when the correct department is not clear.

For account-specific help, use the route tied to the product: retail credit cards, CareCredit, Synchrony Bank savings products, Pay Later loans, secured installment loans, business accounts, or provider accounts.

How to Contact Synchrony About a Complaint

For most Synchrony complaints, start with the account-specific support route. If the issue involves a retail credit card, sign in through the card partner or use Synchrony’s Find Account page. If it involves CareCredit, use CareCredit support. If it involves Synchrony Bank savings, CDs, money market accounts, or IRAs, use Synchrony Bank support. If it involves fraud or identity theft, use the fraud contact route immediately.

If the complaint involves a payment, dispute, account closure, credit line reduction, card lockout, promotional financing, deferred interest, credit reporting, CareCredit charge, Pay Later loan, or savings-account issue, ask for a case number, dispute number, claim number, or written response. Keep copies of statements, support messages, letters, payment confirmations, merchant receipts, medical provider records, credit bureau notices, and account screenshots.

Choose the Correct Support Route

  • Corporate office or headquarters question: Use Synchrony Financial’s Stamford headquarters address or corporate phone number.
  • General support when unsure where to call: Call 1-866-419-4096.
  • Retail credit card account: Use the account sign-in page, Find Account tool, number on the back of your card, or account statement.
  • Synchrony Bank savings, CDs, money market, or IRA account: Call 1-866-226-5638.
  • CareCredit cardholder account: Call 1-866-893-7864.
  • Fraud or identity theft: Call 1-866-834-3205.
  • Synchrony Pay Later: Use 1-855-945-3576 for Pay in 4 or 1-844-373-4960 for Pay Monthly.
  • Secured installment loan: Call 1-866-220-9432.
  • Business partner account: Existing partners can call 1-800-333-1082; prospective partners can call 1-866-838-0655.
  • CareCredit healthcare provider support: Call 1-800-859-9975.
  • Board or governance communication: Use the Corporate Secretary route; routine account questions should go through customer service first.

What to Have Before Contacting Synchrony

  • The product involved, such as retail credit card, CareCredit, Synchrony Mastercard, Pay Later, secured installment loan, Synchrony Bank savings, business account, or provider account
  • The retailer, healthcare provider, merchant, or account partner name
  • The last four digits of the account, card, or loan involved
  • Payment date, amount, merchant, order number, account balance, or transaction details
  • Promotional financing terms, deferred-interest offer, or credit agreement if relevant
  • Statements, payment confirmations, receipts, merchant messages, medical provider documents, or credit bureau notices
  • Any dispute number, fraud claim number, case number, or prior support response
  • A short timeline of what happened and the resolution you are requesting

Do not post full account numbers, full card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, PINs, one-time codes, medical details, bank account numbers, credit bureau screenshots, home addresses, or private financial documents in public reviews or comment sections.

How to Escalate a Synchrony Complaint

Start with the support route for the account type. Sign in to your account when possible so your complaint is connected to the correct card, loan, savings account, or financing product. If you cannot identify the account, use Synchrony’s Find Account page or call 1-866-419-4096.

For disputes, unauthorized charges, fraud, payment posting, account closures, credit limit changes, credit reporting, or promotional-financing issues, ask Synchrony for a written explanation. Keep copies of all statements, letters, emails, account messages, merchant records, provider documents, and credit bureau communications.

If the issue remains unresolved, customers may consider submitting a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Depending on the account type, customers may also consider a credit bureau dispute, state attorney general complaint, FTC fraud report, BBB complaint, or another regulator complaint route.

For Board-level, shareholder, ethics, or governance communications, Synchrony lists a Corporate Secretary route at 777 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, CT 06902. That route should not be used as the first step for routine account support.

Retail Credit Cards, Promotional Financing, and Deferred Interest

Synchrony is widely used for store-branded credit cards and promotional financing. Customers may contact Synchrony about purchases made through retailers, home improvement stores, furniture stores, auto service providers, jewelry stores, electronics sellers, online retailers, and other partners.

A common source of confusion is promotional financing. Some offers involve deferred interest, meaning interest may be charged if the promotional balance is not paid in full by the deadline. Other offers may involve fixed monthly payments or a reduced APR. Always review the exact promotional terms on the statement or credit agreement.

If you believe interest was charged incorrectly, gather the original purchase receipt, promotion terms, statement history, payment schedule, and payoff date before contacting Synchrony.

CareCredit and Healthcare Financing Issues

CareCredit is a Synchrony solution used for healthcare, dental, vision, veterinary, wellness, and related expenses. CareCredit cardholder support is 1-866-893-7864.

CareCredit complaints may involve provider charges, promotional financing, medical billing confusion, refunds after a cancelled procedure, duplicate charges, veterinary expenses, denied applications, account access, or provider communication. If a provider issued the charge, contact the provider and Synchrony. Keep itemized bills, refund confirmations, treatment agreements, provider emails, and account statements.

For healthcare-provider account issues, use CareCredit provider support rather than consumer cardholder support.

Synchrony Bank Savings, CDs, Money Market, and Deposit Accounts

Synchrony Bank deposit-account customers should use the Synchrony Bank support route at 1-866-226-5638. Synchrony Bank provides separate mailing addresses for regular mail and expedited/overnight mail.

For regular bank mail, Synchrony lists:

  • Synchrony Bank
    P.O. Box 669802
    Dallas, TX 75266-0955

For expedited or overnight bank mail, Synchrony lists:

  • Synchrony Bank
    3000 Kellway Drive, Suite 120
    Carrollton, TX 75006

Use the instructions in your online account or Synchrony Bank documents before mailing deposits, forms, checks, or correspondence.

Fraud, Identity Theft, and Unauthorized Activity

If you believe you are a victim of fraud or identity theft involving Synchrony, call 1-866-834-3205 as soon as possible. Synchrony may send a Fraud Investigation Form and customers should return it according to the instructions provided.

For unauthorized purchases, collect the merchant name, transaction date, amount, account involved, and the names of anyone who may have used the account. For identity theft, consider contacting the FTC, credit bureaus, your bank, card issuer, or local law enforcement depending on the situation.

Credit Reporting, Account Closures, and Credit Limit Changes

Synchrony account complaints often involve credit limit decreases, account closures, denied purchases, locked cards, credit reporting, duplicated balances, or account-status changes. If Synchrony makes an adverse action decision, keep the letter or electronic notice explaining the reason.

If you believe information on your credit report is wrong, dispute the item with Synchrony and the credit bureaus. Keep copies of credit reports, statements, payment confirmations, closure notices, dispute letters, and responses.

Scam and Fake Support Number Warning

Customers searching for Synchrony corporate office, Synchrony Bank customer service, CareCredit support, Synchrony payment, Synchrony fraud, or Synchrony complaint department may see third-party phone numbers in search results. Use Synchrony.com, CareCredit.com, your account statement, the number on the back of your card, or the official contact page before sharing account information.

Be cautious with any phone number, email, text, social media message, or ad that asks for passwords, one-time codes, full account numbers, full card numbers, bank login details, gift card payments, cryptocurrency, or remote access to your device.

Synchrony Disappointing Card Issue

May 30, 2025

Synchrony, Ongoing Card Lockouts with No Clear Explanation. I’ve had repeated issues with my Synchrony card being locked, and it’s becoming incredibly frustrating. Most recently, I was told I couldn’t use the card at a specific hotel—with no clear reason or fraud explanation provided.

Today, I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service, and I’m still left without answers or a resolution. This kind of experience undermines confidence in the service. I need clarity on why these restrictions are happening and what’s being done to prevent them going forward.

Synchrony Closed My Account Without Authorization

May 1, 2025

Synchrony, Closed My Account Without Notice. I recently called to request my credit card number, but instead of providing it, Synchrony closed my account without my permission or any prior notification. I only discovered this when I saw my balance had doubled—my original balance was moved onto a new card, then added again, resulting in two identical balances. Despite contacting Synchrony ten times, the duplicate charge remains, and it’s now affecting my credit score. I will be consulting an attorney and considering formal action to resolve this.

Synchrony Disappointing Account Closure Issue

April 16, 2025

Synchrony, Unexpected Account Closures and Inconsistent Practices. I’ve had multiple accounts with Synchrony over the years with no real issues—always paid on time, never late. Then suddenly, without warning, a card I had for over 10 years was closed. I didn’t receive any notification until nearly two months later when I attempted to use the card. The reason provided for the closure was questionable. I subscribe to the same credit bureau Synchrony cited in their decision, and according to my records, my score did not align with what they claimed. Even more confusing, I applied for the same card just two weeks later and was immediately approved—despite my score being lower than it was when the original account was closed. Just three weeks after the closure, Synchrony also approved financing for an awning installation at my home. It’s hard to understand how I could be considered too much of a risk for one account, but still be approved for other credit products from the same company—including the exact same card. Since then, two more cards were closed under nearly identical circumstances, one of which had a zero balance. I’ve gathered documentation, including letters from Synchrony, credit reports, and approval emails, and I’m currently pursuing legal action due to the negative impact these closures have had on my credit—over a 70-point drop. Based on my experience, I would recommend extreme caution when doing business with Synchrony. A more transparent and consistent lender may be a better choice.
