Etsy, Love it except for one Huge thing. Really Foul Language that pops up from sellers when you least expect it. I gave it some extra chances, but too many times it happens when I am looking for a sweet little thing for the house or relatives. I’m done with ETSY for now. Unless they make it a policy to reject the worst words I’m out forever. And I’ve spent alot of money there over the past 15 years or so. Etsy, I hope you are listening. P.S. I Love the shops I do business with!!!!!! Hate to leave them. But I have to.

Etsy would not take a report of a vendor breaking the Etsy rules, via social media or email.. Without downloading and installing the Etsy App, I can find no way of reporting a vendor not following Etsy rules and trying to get me to go to their website to buy. I have reported it to Etsy four times but they insist I must use the “Report This Shop” link to do so. On a web browser on 3 different devices that link doesn’t show up. I do not have their App and do not wish to install it just to report the business. Etsy will not pursue the shop unless I report them using that one link.

Etsy, Difficulty of applying discount. Why does Etsy make it so difficult to spend a five dollar coupon? I was trying to apply a 5 dollar coupon code, which wouldn’t go through. I bought the appliqués because I needed the pattern. As far as I’m concerned Etsy needs to make good on their coupon code.!

Etsy, No customer service. I made a purchase that was not delivered. They gave me an Etsy credit which was fine because I had to make another purchase with another seller to replace the one I did not receive. However, then I did not receive the 2nd item, so I requested a Full refund which included the credit from the 1st purchase. I was told I would receive this via chat. Instead, they simply gave me another credit. I was done making purchases as it was already past Christmas. They refused to give me the ‘credit’ back as a refund to my credit card. I now have to jump through hoops to file a dispute with my credit card. I have made multiple purchases on Etsy. This is the 1st time I’ve had such problems. I may have to close my account to obtain my refund. If so, not a problem. Sellers who claim to be in the USA still obtain their items from overseas but don’t tell you that upfront. I waited over 3 weeks on some orders and longer than 6 weeks on another. Not worth the hassle.

Etsy has become disappointing and unreliable. They shut down my handmade shop, despite my being a 5-star seller since 2016 with over 28,000 sales and excellent reviews. They claimed my items weren’t handmade, which is entirely false. I even offered to provide photos of my process, but they said they didn’t have time to review it. All responses are now automated, and there’s no way to speak with a real person. Etsy has shifted its focus, allowing more drop shippers and wholesale items, which is a far cry from their original handmade ethos. I’ve since moved to a platform that values its sellers and buyers. Unfortunately, Etsy seems to be losing its way—just check their reviews, stock performance, and feedback online. Sellers and buyers, be cautious.
