Anthropologie is famous for unique women’s apparel and accessories. Anthropologie’s stores are known for displaying handmade window displays that show a unimagined environment. Anthropologie is part of the Urban Outfitters Inc. Group of companies.
Anthropologie’s toll-free customer service number is 1-800-543-1039. The company does encourage users to use their technical support system and help forums on their website.
I am extremely disappointed in how Anthropologie goes about to ensure customer loyalty and retention. Their customer service reps require a thorough lesson on how to listen with patience and address concerns of their patrons. I had purchased a coat online on Jan 9, 2022 for my sister's birthday and I was quite excited about the order. On Feb 3, with no shipment and the birthday event coming closer, I called in again and spoke to Shakeel who informed me that it should never take this long, and that my item is considered lost in transit or never picked up by the carrier. He opened a claim for my order and decided to process for refund. On Feb 23, I found a parcel by the door and it was the coat I had ordered on Jan 9, 2022. At this point, I felt I could have kept it as this was shipped to me in error, but I chose to be honest and reached out to customer service and informed them of the shipment.
Instead of being grateful or rewarded for my honesty, I was punished. I was asked to pay for the item that was shipped to me in error or ship it back in my own cost. Those were the two options given to me. It is unacceptable that I have to burden the costs to return something no longer needed, and to impose undue hardship to return to a store instead. They ended up CHARGING ME for the coat on Feb 24, 2022 despite my written and verbal refusal not to do so! The consequences I received were absolutely preposterous and illegal. I have learned that loyalty and customer retention means nothing to Anthropologie and choosing honesty leads to punitive outcomes here.
I am a huge shopper for many years at Anthropologie but this past year I have been very disappointed in the lack of Petite clothing especially pants. I have been searching your site for Joggers in Petites and there are NONE. I started looking in the fall, spring and now summer. You continually get in new merchandise so it's not like I missed out on my sizing. You have a lot of beautiful spring/summer jogger pants BUT NOT IN PETITE SIZING. I would love if your store would insist on the designers that you purchase and buy to sell online and in store for them to make them in PETITES! I end up going else where even the huge department stores offer designer petites! I purchased three PETITE JOGGERS ELSE WHERE. SHAME ON ANTHROPOLOGIE a store known for having a huge selection in PETITES IN THE PAST OFFERING NONE IN SO MANY BEAUTIFUL STYLES BUT NO SELECTION IN PETITE JOGGERS. PETITE WOMEN WANT HIGH END AND A HUGE SELECTION IN PETITES IN EVERYTHING AND YOU DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING AT ALL IN JOGGERS!!!!!!!!!
Ive been a loyal customer for years. This last incident was the most unpleasant experience with an online order. Placed an order in November, lasership never delivered the merchandise by 12/3/16 then the item was lost, then call center – which I had communications for 17 times since 11/25/16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Item hasn't been delivered, every single time I talk to those customer service people, I get more frustrated. They all are the most unprofessional and rude people I've ever deal with.
Today I got an email, that item will not delivered to California but to PA
after I was promised that it was all taken care.
What is happening with management, call center is supervised by whom??
no one takes responsibility of their job and no customer service appreciation is shown.
Will never order anything from your company you are all incompetent and shouldn't be doing business
The Anthro store in Natick Ma. The store manager "Courtney" is the worst, she treats her employees awful, right in front of customers, yelling and telling them they don't know what they are doing, she has a personality problem, she is always rude and disrespectful. I have witnessed her do this many times to the Apparel Manager "NiCollette" who is amazing, she is professional, always willing to help, knows the store and the concept very well. This little lady Nicollette should be respected for her work ethics and move up the ladder. Get rid of the manager "Courtney" or your store in Natick is going to go down hill. I love Anthropologie, and love going there to see the girls who work there, but if Courtney is working I leave. I can't tolerate the way she treats the employees and managers
Send in a secret shopper and keep an eye on this Courtney, see for yourself
I have been a loyal Anthropologie customer for more than 20 years. I have written letters to specific stores and Mother Anthropologie about how I love their designs, store atmosphere, and thanked them for being a part of the happy memories I have made shopping with my sister and mother. Through the years I have spent thousands of my hard-earned dollars in Anthropologie. That is not an exaggeration. But recent deplorable and in-excusable customer service has forced me to severe my relationship with Anthropologie. It took me a while to learn my lesson, but it is a deep-felt loyalty, even if it is one-sided. I have always been irritated by the slow credit Anthropologie.com issues for returns. If another retailer that starts with a "Z" can issue a credit in less than 7 days, why does Anthropologie take three weeks? But I accepted the inconvenience in the name of stylish offerings. The first serious incident was a return that wasn't credited to my account. After two months of persistent email correspondence, the credit was finally issued. If I were a shopper who didn't keep track of purchases and returns, I never would have noticed the oversight. I never received an apology for the mistake. Then I was double billed for an item. Anthropologie.com refused to remove the charge, so I disputed the charge with my credit card. Anthropologie blocked my account, so I could no longer place orders or receive back orders. I should have severed the relationship then, but I have ordered my every-day dishes from Anthropologie and the covered tureen is on backorder until September. So I had to accept the erroneous charge. Like a fool, I placed one more order which was immediately cancelled. I called customer service and explained the block must still be on my account even though I dropped the dispute weeks ago and had already called customer service to confirm the block was removed. Supposedly it was. Again I was told there was no block, but the associate didn't know why the order was cancelled. She had to send an inquiry to the order fulfillment department. Five days later, I got an email saying the block is still in place. I have submitted two email complaints to Anthroplogie.com about this issue and have never received any correspondence or apology which leads me to believe they don't read complaint correspondence and they don't care about their customers. But I guess that's the way of corporate America these days. I just hoped Anthropologie was better than that. With much sadness, I'm divorcing Anthropologie. I will spend my money with a retailer who will treat me better and show just a little appreciation for my business.
