Credit Karma Corporate Office, Headquarters and Member Support

🗨  Comments

Credit Karma members commonly look for help with account access, identity verification, phone-number changes, credit-report errors, Credit Karma Money transactions, privacy requests, and complaints that were not resolved through the app. Below are the current Credit Karma corporate office and U.S. Member Support details, along with the correct route for each type of issue.

  • Credit Karma Privacy Email: CC**********@*********ma.com
  • Privacy and Legal Mailing Address: Credit Karma LLC, Attention: Legal Department, P.O. Box 30963, Oakland, CA 94604

The privacy phone, privacy email, security email, legal mailing address, and accessibility number have limited purposes and should not be used as substitutes for ordinary account support.

Address clarification: Credit Karma is headquartered in Oakland, not San Francisco. The 1100 Broadway address is a corporate workplace and should not be assumed to offer walk-in account service. Do not visit without confirming that an appointment is available.

Where To Direct a Credit Karma Question or Complaint

  • Login, identity-verification, or general account issue: Start with the U.S. Help Center. If the published steps do not work, open a support case.
  • Changed or inaccessible phone number: Follow the current phone-number and account-recovery instructions. Select the option indicating that the phone number changed.
  • Incorrect credit-report information: Credit Karma cannot independently change information supplied by a credit bureau or creditor. Eligible TransUnion errors may be disputed through Direct Dispute in the Credit Karma app. Equifax or Experian items must generally be disputed directly with the bureau and the company that furnished the information.
  • Credit Karma Money transaction: Use the official transaction-dispute instructions for a Credit Karma Money Spend or Save account.
  • Credit score appears different elsewhere: Credit Karma provides VantageScore 3.0 scores based on Equifax and TransUnion data. A lender may use a different bureau or scoring model.
  • Privacy access, deletion, or correction request: Use the Help Center, email CC**********@*********ma.com, or call the Intuit privacy-rights line at 1-877-261-6470.
  • Security-practices question: Review Credit Karma’s official security information or email se******@*********ma.com. For an account takeover or access problem, also open a Member Support case.
  • Tax-filing issue: Credit Karma’s current tax experience is connected with Intuit TurboTax. Use the support route displayed in the tax product rather than a Credit Karma corporate address.
  • Employment or recruiting question: Use the official Credit Karma careers site. Do not submit resumes or payroll questions through the public review section.

How To Escalate a Credit Karma Complaint

Credit Karma primarily handles member service online. A clear written record is especially important when an access, verification, dispute, or financial-account problem continues after the first support contact.

  1. Use the issue-specific Help Center article. Follow the current instructions for login, phone-number recovery, identity verification, membership cancellation, or a Credit Karma Money dispute.
  2. Open a support case. Use the official Member Support form. Sign in when possible and choose the closest issue category.
  3. State the requested resolution. Explain whether you need restored access, a corrected profile, a transaction investigation, a privacy response, or a written explanation.
  4. Keep the case record. Save the case number, confirmation email, dates, screenshots, and the exact error message. Record each follow-up and response.
  5. Use the responsible company. Send a credit-report dispute to the appropriate bureau or data furnisher. Send a card or loan account dispute to the issuing financial institution. Use the Credit Karma Money dispute process for an eligible Money transaction.
  6. Escalate through the correct regulated channel when necessary. If an unresolved issue involves a financial product, identify the bank, lender, insurer, tax provider, or other company named in the agreement or account disclosure before filing an outside complaint.

Information To Have Ready

  • The email address and phone number associated with the account
  • The approximate date the issue began
  • The device, operating system, browser, or app version involved
  • The complete error message, without passwords or verification codes
  • Credit Karma support case numbers and response dates
  • For a credit-report issue, the bureau, creditor, account, and disputed field
  • For a transaction issue, the date, merchant description, and amount
  • A concise requested resolution

Common Credit Karma Member Support Concerns

Account Access and Identity Verification

Members may be unable to sign in after changing a phone number or email address, replacing a device, or encountering an identity-verification mismatch. Use the current recovery process and keep every case number. Do not create multiple accounts unless Credit Karma directs you to do so.

Changing a Phone Number or Email Address

If the old number is no longer available, use the account-recovery option for a changed phone number. Credit Karma may require identity verification before updating an account. Submit documents only through the authenticated official process, never through a public comment or an unsolicited message.

Credit Report Errors

Credit Karma displays credit information obtained from Equifax and TransUnion; it is not the source of the underlying account data. Eligible TransUnion errors may be disputed through Credit Karma’s Direct Dispute tool. Equifax and Experian items generally require a direct dispute with the bureau and the creditor or other data furnisher.

Credit Karma Money Transactions

Report an unrecognized or incorrect Credit Karma Money Spend or Save transaction through the official Money dispute process as soon as possible. Follow the product agreement and current support instructions because deadlines and required information can vary by transaction type.

Recommended Offers and Karma Guarantee Concerns

Credit Karma may receive compensation from third-party advertisers, and an offer shown in the app is not the same as final approval by a lender or card issuer. Save the offer terms, guarantee terms, application result, and relevant dates before contacting support about an allegedly incorrect recommendation or benefit.

Membership Cancellation and Data Deletion

Closing a Credit Karma membership and exercising a privacy right are related but distinct requests. Review the official membership-cancellation instructions. For access to or deletion of personal information, use the privacy routes listed above.

Credit Karma Privacy, Identity, and Scam Warning

Do not post a Social Security number, full date of birth, driver’s-license image, credit report, bank details, debit-card number, tax-refund information, login email, password, verification code, or identity-verification document in the public comment section.

  • Use only the official Credit Karma app, creditkarma.com, or support.creditkarma.com for account access and document submission.
  • Do not give anyone a password, one-time code, or remote access to a device, even if the person claims to be Credit Karma support.
  • Be suspicious of demands for gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or payment through an unfamiliar link.
  • Independently open the official app or website instead of using a link in an unexpected email or text message.
  • If a Credit Karma-related transaction is unfamiliar, follow the official Money dispute process and notify the relevant bank or card issuer promptly.
  • For help identifying an unfamiliar statement entry, review the unrecognized-charge guide at ChargeOnMyCard.
  • For warning signs involving a suspicious message, website, or support offer, consult ThinkIt’sAScam.

Credit Karma Company Overview

Credit Karma is a consumer financial-technology company founded in 2007. It is known for free access to credit scores, credit reports, monitoring tools, financial insights, and a marketplace for products such as credit cards, loans, and insurance. Credit Karma states that it serves more than 140 million members across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Credit Karma provides VantageScore 3.0 credit scores using data from Equifax and TransUnion. Those scores may differ from a score used by a lender because lenders can use different bureaus, report dates, and scoring models. Credit Karma may receive compensation from third-party advertisers, and the offers shown do not represent every financial product available.

Credit Karma is not a bank. Its current disclosures state that banking services are provided by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC. Product terms identify the entity responsible for a specific account, offer, or service and should be reviewed before sending a complaint.

Who Owns Credit Karma?

Intuit Inc., the publicly traded company behind TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, owns Credit Karma. Intuit completed the acquisition in December 2020 for total consideration of approximately $8.1 billion, consisting of cash and Intuit stock and equity awards.

Credit Karma continues to operate as a distinct Intuit brand. Joe Kauffman became chief executive officer of Credit Karma effective August 1, 2024. Credit Karma founder Kenneth Lin retired from Intuit around the end of 2024. Sasan Goodarzi is chief executive officer of Intuit.

Credit Karma Reviews and Complaints

Four customer reviews are currently visible on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com, and all four carry one-star ratings. These reviews describe individual experiences and allegations that have not been independently verified. They should not be treated as proof of companywide conduct.

  • March 18, 2025: A reviewer described being unable to access an account for nearly two months despite repeated identity, password, and document-submission attempts. The reviewer also alleged that a refund remained inaccessible.
  • January 15, 2025: A reviewer reported a login problem lasting more than two months, repeated requests for documents, and plans to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
  • January 4, 2025: A reviewer described difficulty changing a phone number and alleged that the available support routes did not resolve the issue.
  • November 23, 2024: A reviewer alleged that a guarantee was not honored and criticized the support experience.

The strongest recurring theme is account access: three of the four published reviews discuss login, phone-number, verification, or document-processing problems. Readers sharing a new experience should include the approximate date, issue type, support steps, and outcome without posting account or identity information.

Credit Karma Competitors and Related Companies

Credit Karma competes with credit-monitoring, financial-marketplace, credit-card, lending, and tax-preparation services. Its parent company and the three national credit bureaus are also directly relevant when researching ownership or correcting report information.

  • Intuit — Credit Karma’s parent company
  • Experian — one of the three major consumer credit bureaus
  • Equifax — supplies credit-report data displayed by Credit Karma
  • TransUnion — supplies data and receives eligible Direct Dispute submissions
  • H&R Block — tax-preparation and financial-services competitor
  • TaxAct — online tax-preparation competitor

Credit Karma Disappointing Customer Service

November 23, 2024

Credit Karma, Guarantees are not as reliable as they claim. Their support team misrepresents account activity to avoid honoring their promises. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and misled. Guarantees should come with integrity, not excuses.

Credit Karma Disappointing Account Access Issues

March 18, 2025

Credit Karma, Account Access Issues. I have been unable to access my Credit Karma account for nearly two months. Despite knowing my password and the Gmail connected to the account, I cannot log in or access my refund. I’ve followed all the steps to update my ID and even changed my password, but Credit Karma still won’t grant me access to my money. Every time I reach out for assistance, I’m met with unhelpful responses. Customer service often hangs up on me, forcing me to restart the process through another chat. I’m repeatedly asked to update my ID, and even after doing so, nothing changes. This situation has left me facing eviction and unable to pay my bills. The IRS has confirmed my refund is with Credit Karma and advised me to request the funds be returned to them. Unfortunately, Credit Karma refuses to release or return the money. Customer service representatives have been disrespectful and unprofessional throughout this ordeal. After working hard for my refund, it’s incredibly frustrating to be treated this way. If I could rate Credit Karma lower than zero stars, I would. At this point, I am considering legal action as I feel I have been treated unfairly. Credit Karma’s lack of support and accountability has caused significant emotional and financial hardship. I sincerely hope they will take immediate steps to resolve this matter.
