Dick's Pasadena CA Frustrating Return Experience

Dick’s, Terrible managerial customer service Pasadena Store. I recently placed an online order for a yoga mat referenced above, received it, opened it and used it once inside my home. I wanted to make a return as I am slipping during most of my yoga poses. I drove to the Dick’s Pasadena, CA to make a return and the Manager, Ivy refused to take my return. Ivy specified that they cannot take back items that have been opened and used. According to your Return Policy it states: The applicable policy depends on the item being returned. The following items cannot be returned if the package is opened or the factory seal is broken: Football Helmets, Air Beds, Electronic Scooters and Bikes, Face Coverings, Ice Rinks and Portable Lavatories. Electronics must be returned in the original packaging and with all accompanying manuals, parts, and accessories. There is a 30-day return policy on all opened Hyperice and Theragun products, excluding refurbished products. Pre-owned items, demo items, refurbished items, and Nike Adapt shoes may be exchanged in the same condition as they were sold within seven (7) days of purchase with the original sales receipt. All exchanges are subject to approval. For other items, we may accept returns for items that are clean and in good condition, even if they have been opened, tried on, or tested. Both her and I pulled this up and she still refused to take it back. So I called Customer Service and spoke with Kimberly. Kimberly said she is not able to override what the store does, so she said to mail the return through Fedex, once Dick’s receives it, they will do an inspection and then reimburse me if all is good. This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever encountered with a corporate store as big as you. How was I to know the mat was going to be to my liking if I did not try it out? I will never shop at any Dick’s store and will also tell many others to not shop there as well as their customer service is less than par. Manager Ivy of the Pasadena store also needs to brush up on her managerial skills, the return policy of your store and most of all listen to the customer’s needs. was not trying to return an item that I had used for 30-60 days. It literally looks brand new as it was used just once. I would like an explanation to this matter as soon as possible either from a Manager or one of your executives.

Dick's Excellent Customer Service

Dick’s, Employee went above and beyond. Went into store tonight to make a purchase for my granddaughter, upon checking out I asked the store employee to use my drivers license to look up my Dick’s charge card. Unfortunately it had been canceled for not being used for a year. So I reapplied and was approved. I got a printed paper card, but trying to use it was a Real hassle!!! The sales representative called a manger named Luke and Luke went above and beyond to get it to work, even calling the card company, going to 3 different registers, he was so wonderful!!! Needless to say it never worked! But just because of the way Luke took the time and didn’t brush me off (which unfortunately happens everywhere now a days). He is greatly appreciated by me and You as a company are truly lucky to have him!! I will now be shopping at his store for my grandkids sporting items regularly!!

Dick's DIsappointing SHopping Experience

Dick’s, Don’t shop early. Bought an Under Armour sweatshirt for $60 on 9/4/24 for a christmas gift. Now today 12/31/24 we went to exhange it for a different size. We were told even though we have the receipt we can not exhange it because it is passed the 90 days. If we want another we can get one for the current cost $45 minus the lowest cost this item was sold for in this store which they claim was $11.99, so we can pay another $35 and “exchange” it for a another one. We get a different size for the total cost of $95!!!!!! Our original $60 plus the $35. What a stupid policy. Don’t bother to shop early at Dick’s.

Dick's Concerning Theft Policy

Dick’s, I’ve recently learned that employees at your stores are instructed not to intervene in cases of shoplifting. This policy seems to enable theft, where individuals could potentially walk in with an empty bag, take items, and leave without consequence. If true, this approach not only undermines the shopping experience for paying customers but may also contribute to increased prices to offset losses. As a loyal shopper, I find this deeply concerning. Supporting such practices, whether intentionally or not, seems counterproductive and unfair to honest customers. It’s disappointing to think this could be a company-wide policy. Dick’s needs to address this issue to maintain the trust of its customers.

Dicks staff is unhelpful! Listing items online in incorrect sizes . Glendale and Pasadena CA do this often.
