Harbor Freight, Zero Turn Mower “Giveaway” Concerns. I saw the Harbor Freight ad promoting a zero-turn lawnmower giveaway, which sounded great—until I learned there was a payment involved. A giveaway should be free, right? After exchanging multiple emails, it became clear they still expected some form of payment. I reminded them that calling it a “giveaway” is misleading. Honestly, this feels like a classic bait-and-switch. Harbor Freight is starting to lose credibility with these kinds of promotions.

Harbor Freight Disappointing Hiring Issue

Harbor Freight, This is going to be pretty short, but the business is worthless for management. I’m a retired middled aged 40 year old and tried a few times to apply for a position in working part time in one of your stores, let’s be real, the people that get hired in the stores are not people that have experience or anything or their willingness to work, no, they are people that are friends with the manager or a co-worker(s). People that try to work and willing to work are over ran by people that just know someone that are in the position to hire or know of that person. You need people that are willing to work and not just trying to get a paycheck just for being there. Been in the stores numerous times and it’s always new people. I’ve worked hard my whole life and it’s never been this way. Want to hire kids (which is absolutely never wrong with) or people actually willing to work. Thank you for your time, although I know this isn’t going to go far, but in the deleted file!

Harbor Freight Disappointing Return Issue

Harbor Freight, Failure of Harbor Freight to acknowledge or courtesy of a response to a complaint of a HF product. I had been a regular customer of Harbor Freight for several years. However, I purchased a Portland Max Pressure 1750PSI Washer as a Christmas gift for my son. Since he had no reason to use it until June when the weather was warmer ,he was using it for the very first time for just over a half hour when it suddenly blew with a flash & then a burst of black smoke, & thus became useless. I emailed Harbor Freight on 6/3/24 as well as I submitted a letter to the Harbor Freight store I purchased the item at, along with the actual bar code, it’s data & Portland specs since I did not retain the original receipt of purchase. Not once, did Harbor Freight Company nor the store I purchased it from ever give me the courtesy of a response, even to my several follow ups. I paid just $85.00 for the item, which I am at a loss of, but Harbor Freight has lost two regular customers due to their lack of Consumer care. Yet, Harbor Freight today is constantly advertising their so called quality products, which is clearly a dishonest claim in every respect, especially in their customer service application.

Harbor Freight Disappointing Return Issue

Harbor Freight, Returning is a Joke! Its been almost 3 weeks getting the run around, trying to return a multi function transfer pump purchased in store. Told it can only be returned online, even that it was one day old and didn’t work. Followed directions, received confirmation emails, and then when trying to follow up, told emails were wrong and to redo paper work. This scenario repeated several times. Then told I need to register with Bank of America. Called and was told that was an error, and they would process refund back to Visa card. Still waiting. Do Not Buy From Harbor Freight, most unpleasant. No problems with Home Depot; Lowes; Ace Hardware. We’re not talking big money it was less then $10. but I guess their desperate to hold the funds. Buy at your own risk!

Harbor Freight Jonesboro AR Disappointing Cement Mixer Issue

April 30, 2025

Harbor Freight, Cement Mixer, Paint Peeling Off, Less than one year old. My husband purchased a Cement Mixer in October 2024 from the Harbor Freight in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Evidently the Mixer worked fine as he did not voice any concerns after having used it; however, the paint is already peeling off in several places and in large sections. The store warranty is for only 90 days and unfortunately he did not purchase the extended warranty. We’re just disappointed as we expected it to last longer than six months. Pictures attached.
