John Deere Disappointing Customer Service

October 8, 2024

John Deere, Made in America! Local John Deere Dealer, Dropped Off Tractor w/ No Oil in Transmission &; No Coolant in Radiator. Buyer Beware: To all farmers, equipment owners and mom & dad who own lawn & garden equipment. I originally brought my tractor to local John Deere dealer for routine maintenance, it ran perfected before taking it there and what I received back was a pile of junk.

I was recently charged double (2 times) what I was originally quoted for the work. When the tractor was delivered, they started it up and drove it off the trailer. I was told they had driven it around to ensure everything was working perfectly. After they left, I found No Oil in the transmission and No Coolant in the radiator or overflow tank. None of the maintenance I requested was done with the exception of changing the motor oil and filter. When I called the dealer, they denied any wrong doing; when I called their corporate headquarters I was referred back to the local dealer; when I called John Deere Corporate they were not interested in even hearing the problem. I now have a piece of green junk sitting in my shop! Rethink your purchases from John Deere and their affiliates, as you will receive no assistance or support from John Deere corporate. In my community, all of the major farmers with 1,000s of acres no longer use the same dealer that scammed me. I will be notifying our state’s attorney general’s office and have hired an attorney.

John Deere Haverhill NH Staffing Issue

September 21, 2024

John Deere, staffing issue. I’ve been trying to get a part for my brush hog, which I bought from the Haverhill NH John Deere. A few years ago, John Deere asked mewhat part order number was? If I had their computer I probably could look it up. But I think looking up a bolt I needed wouldn’t be so hard to do, I have also had problems with the service department, I would like a call from the big manager to get this store back to the way it was when it was run by John Deere, and hire qualified people, I have to travel over 100 miles to get the part I need. I shouldn’t have to do this. Thank you.

Attn. John Deere Home Office - Very Poor website design/organization for Residential Products

November 18, 2023

I know JD’s residential mowers & accessories are only a tiny part of its overall business, but I’m disappointed about how very poorly the JD website is designed/organized/interlinked for these products! I bought an S130 riding mower. Then I came to the website to see and access detailed information about the various towable attachments available for use with my S130. It’s essentially IMPOSSIBLE! I EXPECTED to quickly find (in menus & on each mower’s page) clearly labeled & easily accessible links to a single page displaying a list (with photos) of JD’s available residential tow attachments, each of which would include a link to a separate page providing detailed info about that item. Either that page doesn’t exist or there aren’t findable links to it. WHY?? On the other hand, if one finds a JD attachment on a different site (Amazon, HD, Lowe’s, etc.) and copies its JD Model #, THEN returns to the JD website & searches on that Model #, that product’s specific page is revealed! Why make it so difficult? PLEASE require your web developers to provide accessible links to and between your products in a manner designed to assist customers in getting to those products in every way customers can be expected to try to find them.

John Deere Customer Service

December 13, 2022

I had a problem with my John Deere lawn tractor’s power take off not working for grass cutting. I took it to a dealer five times and spent $1242, but they couldn’t fix it without charging me another $600-700. It’s frustrating because they claim to be “strong on service.”

My tractor had to have transmission replaced

December 13, 2022

My tractor had to have transmission replaced @ 9 hrs. Now @ 40 I need another transmission. They had a recall on their D-150 tractors but my serial number was not on the list. Has anyone had them reply to these complaints?
