L’Oréal Hair Color Questions

For L’Oréal Paris hair-color products, including shade selection, application, unexpected color results, developer questions, or product-quality concerns, call the hair-color support line at 1-833-856-7325.

Keep the product box, shade name and number, lot code, receipt, application date, processing time, previous hair treatment information, and photographs when appropriate. Do not combine additional chemical products or attempt another corrective treatment until you have reviewed the instructions and obtained suitable professional guidance.

Old L’Oréal hair-products numberThe previous version of this page listed 1-800-631-7358 as the L’Oréal hair-products number. That number is not shown on L’Oréal’s current U.S. consumer-inquiries or L’Oréal Paris contact pages. The current published hair-color number is 1-833-856-7325.

L’Oréal Email Address and Online Contact

A current general consumer-service email address for all L’Oréal USA brands was not verified. L’Oréal Paris directs customers to its official telephone number and online submission form. The former in**@*******al.com address should not be presented as the preferred current customer-service route.

Because L’Oréal operates numerous brands with separate support teams, use the consumer-inquiries directory to select the brand printed on the product or order confirmation.

L’Oréal Corporate and Business Inquiries

The Hudson Yards number, 1-212-818-1500, is L’Oréal USA’s corporate office phone number. It is appropriate for corporate, administrative, media, business, institutional, or headquarters-related inquiries.

The corporate switchboard is not the preferred number for product reactions, hair-color questions, online orders, returns, refunds, missing shipments, damaged products, discontinued shades, coupons, samples, or brand-specific complaints.

L’Oréal Human Resources and Employment

L’Oréal does not publish one general public L’Oréal USA HR phone number for applicants. Job seekers should search and apply through the official L’Oréal Careers website. Application status and recruiting questions should follow the instructions provided in the candidate account or by the assigned recruiter.

L’Oréal Consumer-Care Numbers by Brand

L’Oréal USA operates many brands with separate customer-service systems. Common U.S. contacts include:

Phone numbers and hours can change. Confirm the current contact information through the official L’Oréal USA brand directory before relying on a number for an important matter.

How to File a L’Oréal Complaint

  1. Identify the exact brand: Determine whether the issue involves L’Oréal Paris, Lancôme, Garnier, Maybelline, CeraVe, Mugler, Redken, NYX, Kiehl’s, YSL Beauty, or another L’Oréal brand.
  2. Identify the purchase channel: Note whether the product came from a L’Oréal-owned website, salon, beauty retailer, department store, pharmacy, grocery store, mass retailer, or online marketplace.
  3. Gather the product details: Keep the product, container, packaging, shade, size, lot code, receipt, order number, photographs, and previous customer-service case number.
  4. Contact the responsible seller: Delivery, return, refund, pricing, payment, and missing-order concerns often begin with the website or retailer that processed the purchase.
  5. Contact the brand’s Consumer Care team: Product quality, ingredients, packaging, fragrance, shade performance, hair-color, or reaction concerns should also be reported to the appropriate L’Oréal brand.
  6. Request a case number: Save the representative’s name, contact date, response, requested documents, promised follow-up date, and resolution offered.
  7. Escalate when needed: If the first response does not resolve the concern, request supervisor or specialist review through the same brand-support channel.

Retailer Purchase and Pricing Complaints

If a L’Oréal product was purchased from Walmart, Target, Amazon, a pharmacy, a department store, a salon, or another retailer, the retailer generally controls its shelf price, promotion, payment, shipping, and return policies. Contact both the retailer and the L’Oréal brand when a concern involves product quality in addition to the sales transaction.

Fragrance and Formula Complaints

Keep the fragrance bottle, box, batch or lot code, proof of purchase, product name, concentration, size, purchase source, and photographs. Describe the difference experienced without assuming that a formula change occurred unless the brand confirms one.

For Mugler Angel or another Mugler fragrance, contact Mugler Consumer Care at 1-866-868-4537.

Cosmetic reaction and privacy warningStop using a cosmetic or hair-color product if you experience a concerning reaction. Follow the product’s safety instructions and seek appropriate medical assistance when needed. Serious cosmetic-product problems can also be reported through the FDA cosmetic complaint process.

Do not post medical records, full home addresses, complete order numbers, payment-card details, passwords, identification documents, account verification codes, or unredacted receipts in a public review. Product names, approximate dates, lot codes, purchase sources, and case numbers should be shared privately with the company when needed.

About L’Oréal USA

L’Oréal was founded in France in 1909 by chemist Eugène Schueller. The company established its U.S. business in 1953 and has grown through the development and acquisition of brands serving mass-market, luxury, professional salon, fragrance, and dermatological beauty customers.

L’Oréal USA states that it manages 36 beauty brands, employs approximately 13,000 people in the United States, and operates facilities across 15 states. Its U.S. operations include corporate offices, research, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, retail, digital commerce, salons, and brand-support functions.

Alexis Perakis-Valat became CEO of L’Oréal USA and President of the North America Zone effective January 1, 2026. David Greenberg moved into the newly created role of Chairman of L’Oréal USA.

L’Oréal Brands and Related Corporate Offices

L’Oréal’s U.S. portfolio includes L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, Garnier, NYX Professional Makeup, Essie, CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, SkinCeuticals, Vichy, Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Kérastase, Pureology, Kiehl’s, IT Cosmetics, Mugler, YSL Beauty, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Prada Beauty, Valentino Beauty, and Lancôme.

Customer support is generally organized by brand rather than through one universal L’Oréal USA consumer-service department.

L’Oréal Competitors in the Beauty Industry

L’Oréal competes across mass-market cosmetics, luxury beauty, skincare, haircare, fragrances, professional salon products, and dermatological beauty. Related corporate office pages include Estée Lauder, Procter & Gamble, and Unilever.

Other major competitors include Coty, Revlon, Shiseido, e.l.f. Beauty, and numerous independent or specialty beauty brands. Retailers such as Sephora, Ulta Beauty, department stores, pharmacies, and mass merchants are important distribution partners rather than direct L’Oréal-owned-brand competitors.

L’Oréal Corporate Office Reviews and Complaints

Two reviews are currently visible on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com.

  • One reviewer described dissatisfaction with a Mugler Angel perfume body cream, reporting an unpleasant odor, little recognizable fragrance, and concern that the product differed from versions purchased over many years.
  • Another reviewer complained about the rising retail price of L’Oréal shampoo at a local Walmart and stated that the price increase led them to purchase another brand.

These comments reflect individual customer experiences. They do not establish that every Mugler product changed formulation or that L’Oréal alone determined a particular retailer’s shelf price. Future reviews should identify the exact brand, product, purchase source, approximate date, customer-care route used, requested resolution, and whether the issue was resolved.

Loreal Ruined Thierry Mugler’s Perfumes!! Angel

June 10, 2024

After 35 years of wearing Angel as my signature perfume I’m appalled by L’Oréal’s cheap, ugly version. You have denied any changes in the Angel chemistry and for those of us that know better, we can only assume your lying to your devoted customers. I bought the Angel perfume body cream. It has no fragrance at all other than possibly VERY OLD perhaps after your company selling product that’s been sitting on a shelf for 20+ years. I had to shower a 2nd time to rinse off its putrid odor! You owe me as well as millions of women that you have ripped off with your false denying when we complain. I’ve paid thousands of dollars over the years for Angel perfume, body creams and hair mist. Shame on you L’Oréal! You are scamming your customers! I’m sure Thierry Mugler is rolling over in his grave.

Loreal Rising Costs

December 13, 2022

I have purchased Loreal hair products for years and years. I have watched the rising costs and after yesterdays visit to the store for shampoo, I had to choose another product because of rising costs. The last time I purchased shampoo it was $4.94 for regular size, yesterday it was was priced at $8.54 at my local Walmart. I will not be purchasing your products any longer — just can’t afford them.
