Marathon Petroleum Corporate Office and Headquarters Information

Marathon Petroleum’s corporate office and headquarters are located in Findlay, Ohio. This headquarters contact information is best used for corporate, investor, media, business, supplier, compliance, and formal written correspondence. For Marathon fuel station feedback, receipts, pending card holds, fuel-quality concerns, rewards issues, or station experience complaints, use the MarathonFuel.com support route connected to the station or transaction.

Important correction: Marathon Petroleum completed the sale of Speedway to 7-Eleven in 2021. Marathon Petroleum continues to provide Marathon brand and ARCO-related retail station contact routes, but Speedway is now separate from Marathon Petroleum ownership.

About Marathon Petroleum

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is an integrated downstream energy company involved in refining, marketing, transportation, logistics, midstream operations, renewable fuels, asphalt, lubricants, marine fuels, and related petroleum products. The company’s corporate headquarters are in Findlay, Ohio.

Marathon-branded stations are often independently owned and operated. Because of that, a station complaint may need to start with the local station owner or manager before being escalated through Marathon’s brand contact form. Marathon’s official station contact form includes topics such as bank holds, receipt requests, fuel-quality claims, rewards, station experience, and station employment.

How to Contact Marathon About a Fuel Station Complaint

If your complaint involves a Marathon gas station, fuel purchase, receipt, pending card hold, station employee, posted price, car wash, rewards issue, or fuel-quality concern, gather the details before contacting Marathon. Station-specific information helps Marathon route the complaint to the correct location or brand-support team.

  • Station experience complaints: Include the station address, city, state, date, time, receipt, employee or manager name if known, and a clear description of what happened.
  • Fuel-quality claims: Save your receipt, fuel grade, pump number, station address, photos, mechanic notes, repair estimate, and any towing or diagnostic documentation.
  • Receipt requests: Include the station address, transaction date, transaction time, last four digits of the card, and purchase amount.
  • Pending card holds: Check whether the amount is still pending or has posted. Pending fuel holds may be higher than the final purchase amount and may be controlled by the card issuer or bank.
  • Rewards complaints: Save your receipt, rewards account phone number, app screenshots, station details, and offer information.
  • Station employment issues: Marathon says station hiring and staff management may be handled by independently owned station operators.
  • Escalation: Ask for written confirmation, a case number, or a follow-up timeline when a station, fuel-quality, rewards, or charge issue remains unresolved.

Marathon Rewards, ARCO Rewards, and App Help

Marathon ARCO Rewards support can help with missing rewards, account questions, receipt review, communication preferences, app issues, and related rewards concerns. If rewards are missing, provide a clear photo of the receipt and include the mobile phone number connected to the rewards account.

Marathon Fuel Card, Fleet Card, and Business Contacts

Marathon fleet card, business fuel card, and commercial account issues may use different support routes from normal retail station complaints. If your issue involves a fleet card, driver card, billing account, invoice, or business fuel program, use the fleet-card support route and keep copies of invoices, driver records, card numbers, transaction dates, and disputed charges.

CAT SALES, Pending Holds, Receipts, and Charge Questions

Some consumers may see a credit card descriptor such as CAT SALES after buying fuel at a self-service pump. CAT can refer to a cardholder activated terminal, such as a pay-at-the-pump fuel transaction. A pending hold may appear higher than the final fuel purchase until the card issuer settles the transaction.

If the charge is still pending, wait to see whether the final posted amount corrects to the actual purchase amount. If the wrong amount posts, contact the station, Marathon support, and your bank or card issuer with the receipt and transaction details.

Safety, Fuel Spill, and Emergency Warning

If there is an immediate safety issue, fuel spill, fire, threat, medical emergency, suspected criminal activity, or dangerous condition at a Marathon or ARCO station, contact local emergency services first. Do not rely on a website form, public comment, or corporate office listing for emergency help.

For non-emergency station safety, cleanliness, fuel-quality, or employee-conduct complaints, document the location, date, time, photos if appropriate, and the name of anyone you contacted at the station.

Environmental, Compliance, and Business Integrity Concerns

Marathon Petroleum lists a Business Integrity and Compliance contact route for compliance-related matters. This is different from normal fuel station feedback, rewards support, pending card holds, or retail customer service issues.

  • Business Integrity and Compliance: 1-855-857-5700
  • Compliance Mailing Address: Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Business Integrity and Compliance, 539 South Main Street, Findlay, OH 45840
  • Corporate Contact Page: Marathon Petroleum Contact Us

Fraud, Skimming, and Fuel Payment Scam Warning

Be cautious with fake Marathon customer service phone numbers, fake fuel-card offers, rewards phishing texts, QR code scams at pumps, payment-card skimmers, fake refund notices, and emails asking for banking information, card numbers, verification codes, or rewards login details.

Use only official Marathon, MarathonFuel.com, Marathon ARCO Rewards, WEX, or Marathon Petroleum links before entering payment, rewards, fleet-card, or account information. If you suspect card skimming or an unauthorized charge, contact your card issuer quickly and report the issue to the station or appropriate authority.

Common Marathon Complaint Topics

Common Marathon complaint topics may include station cleanliness, employee conduct, fuel-quality concerns, receipt problems, pending card holds, posted charge disputes, rewards issues, fleet card concerns, station safety, price display issues, car wash problems, and difficulty getting follow-up from a station or support route.

Reader reviews on this page have included complaints about product-size and value concerns, unsafe conditions at an ARCO station, and a Marathon store customer-service issue involving alleged lack of follow-up. If you share a review below, include the station location, date, receipt details, and the steps you already took with the station, Marathon Fuel, Marathon ARCO Rewards, or corporate support.

Marathon Disappointing Product Changes

March 26, 2025

Marathon, Misleading Product Changes. Marathon has disappointed loyal customers by reducing the size of their toilet paper rolls. Previously, the rolls measured 4.5″ by 4.0″, but the newer ones are now only 4.0″ by 4.0″. That’s a significant reduction in product size. Additionally, each roll used to provide 58.7 square feet, but now it’s 6.5 square feet less — all while still advertising 470 sheets per roll and increasing the price. This kind of deceptive practice is unacceptable. Marathon should bring back the original size and quality that customers trusted.

Marathon ARCO Phoenix AZ Unsafe Area

March 11, 2025

Marathon, Arco station. Unsafe Environment at ARCO Station on 27th Ave and Union Hills. I live in the neighborhood near 27th Ave and Union Hills in Phoenix, Arizona, and the ARCO station there has become a serious concern. The area around the building is often filled with homeless individuals openly using drugs, both on the side and in front of the station. I spoke with the manager, but unfortunately, he seemed unfazed and uninterested in addressing the issue. While we can call the authorities, we believe ARCO should take more responsibility in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of their property. It’s very unsettling, especially at night. Until improvements are made, I would recommend using a different ARCO AM/PM location.

Marathon Disappointing Customer Service

February 5, 2025

Marathon, Unacceptable Employee Behavior at Store #1107

I had a troubling experience at Marathon store #1107 with an employee. She made an inappropriate comment, stating that if I “didn’t shut up,” she would call me a name “not in the coloring book.” This remark was offensive and completely unprofessional. As a military veteran who has served this country, I find it deeply disappointing to be treated this way. Instead of addressing the issue, it seems that the situation has been turned against me as the customer. I have reached out to Corey, Rivers, and another corporate representative, yet no one has followed up with me. This lack of accountability is unacceptable, and I expect Marathon to take this matter seriously.
