Mercury Insurance Corporate Office: Headquarters & Phone

🗨  Comments

Mercury Insurance corporate operations are based in California. Mercury General Corporation, the publicly traded parent company behind Mercury Insurance, maintains its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, while Mercury Insurance also identifies a major customer-service and operating location in Brea, California.

This page provides the current Mercury Insurance corporate headquarters address, corporate phone number, customer-service number, claims information, billing assistance, customer mailing address, careers resources and complaint-escalation options.

Important contact distinction: Mercury General Corporation’s corporate headquarters remains at 4484 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010. Mercury Insurance’s current consumer Contact page separately lists 555 W. Imperial Highway, Brea, CA 92821-4802 for customer correspondence. Customers with policy, billing or claim questions should normally use Mercury Customer Service rather than calling the corporate headquarters.

Mercury Insurance Corporate Office Headquarters

Choose the correct Mercury contact: Call 323-937-1060 for Mercury General Corporation’s Los Angeles corporate headquarters. For an insurance policy, bill, payment, claim or ordinary customer-service matter, start with 1-800-503-3724. Claims can be reported 24 hours a day.

Where Is Mercury Insurance Headquarters?

Mercury’s corporate structure can make the headquarters question confusing because current official sources identify two important California locations.

Mercury General Corporation Corporate Headquarters:

4484 Wilshire Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90010
USA

Mercury General Corporation’s current SEC filings and corporate materials identify the Wilshire Boulevard location as the company’s principal executive and corporate headquarters.

Mercury Insurance’s consumer-facing company information also describes Mercury as headquartered in Brea, California, and its Contact page lists:

Mercury Insurance
555 W. Imperial Hwy.
Brea, CA 92821-4802
USA

For a CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com listing, 4484 Wilshire Boulevard remains the appropriate corporate headquarters for Mercury General Corporation, while the Brea address is useful for customers seeking Mercury Insurance’s current consumer-contact operation.

What Is the Mercury Insurance Corporate Phone Number?

The current Mercury General Corporation corporate-office phone number is 323-937-1060.

This number appears with the Los Angeles headquarters in current Mercury corporate materials and SEC filings.

The corporate number should not be confused with Mercury’s primary customer-service and claims number. Policyholders and claimants should generally call 1-800-503-3724 instead.

Mercury Insurance Customer Service

Mercury Insurance Customer Service can be reached at 1-800-503-3724.

Mercury uses this number for a variety of customer needs, including:

  • Policy questions
  • Billing and payment assistance
  • Coverage questions
  • Claims
  • Account assistance
  • General customer-service concerns

Mercury’s Contact page also provides an online message option for general questions that are not related to a specific policy or coverage issue.

For policy changes, customers can also contact their Mercury agent or sign in to their online account.

Mercury Insurance Claims Phone Number

Mercury’s claims hotline is 1-800-503-3724.

Auto and property claims can be reported 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Mercury also provides an online claims system for reporting and managing eligible claims.

When reporting a claim, have relevant information available privately, which may include:

  • Policy number
  • Date and location of the loss
  • Description of what occurred
  • Photographs or other documentation
  • Police or incident-report information when applicable
  • Other parties involved
  • Repair or property-damage information

Do not post policy or claim numbers publicly when seeking help with a Mercury complaint.

Mercury Auto and Property Claims

Mercury handles automobile and property claims through its central claims operation. A customer who has already filed a claim should generally work with the assigned claims representative before attempting a corporate escalation.

If there is a disagreement about a claim, document:

  • The claim date and claim number
  • Names or departments of representatives contacted
  • Repair estimates or contractor estimates
  • Photographs
  • Letters or emails from Mercury
  • Payments already issued
  • Items that remain disputed
  • The specific resolution requested

Ask for a claims supervisor or manager if the assigned representative cannot resolve an issue or explain the company’s position.

Mercury Insurance Billing and Payments

Mercury customers with a billing or payment question can call 1-800-503-3724.

Current billing-support hours are Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific Time.

Mercury also provides online payment and account-management options. Customers may be able to make payments online, by phone, through MoneyGram or by other methods available for their policy.

A policyholder disputing a cancellation, late payment, autopay transaction or billing amount should contact Mercury promptly because insurance policies can be subject to specific payment and cancellation deadlines.

Mercury Insurance Customer Mailing Address

Mercury’s current Contact page lists the following customer-contact address:

Mercury Insurance
555 W. Imperial Hwy.
Brea, CA 92821-4802
USA

This Brea address is more appropriate for ordinary customer-contact purposes than assuming that every insurance matter should be mailed to the Los Angeles corporate headquarters.

Customers sending a payment, claim document or other time-sensitive material should confirm the correct address on their policy documents or with Mercury first because specialized departments can use different mailing addresses.

How to Escalate a Mercury Insurance Complaint

Insurance complaints are usually most effective when the customer first gives the appropriate Mercury department an opportunity to resolve the problem.

  1. Contact the correct department: Call 1-800-503-3724 for customer service, billing or claims.
  2. Contact the assigned agent or claims representative: An existing agent or adjuster may be able to resolve policy-specific or claim-specific questions.
  3. Document the problem: Keep policy documents, claim correspondence, estimates, photographs, bills and payment records.
  4. Request supervisor review: If the initial representative cannot resolve the matter, ask for the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  5. Keep a timeline: Record dates of calls, names or departments contacted, promised callbacks and written responses.
  6. State the requested resolution: Explain clearly whether you are seeking a payment review, claim decision, billing correction, reinstatement, written explanation or another specific outcome.
  7. Use the corporate route when appropriate: Unresolved corporate correspondence can be directed to Mercury General Corporation, 4484 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010.
  8. Contact your state insurance regulator when appropriate: Insurance companies are regulated at the state level, and consumers can file complaints with the insurance department in the state where the policy was issued.

The NAIC State Insurance Department directory can help customers locate the appropriate regulator.

California Mercury Insurance Complaints

Mercury is headquartered in California and writes substantial insurance business in the state. California consumers with an unresolved claim, cancellation, nonrenewal, underwriting or other insurance-company complaint can contact the California Department of Insurance.

Consumers outside California should use the insurance regulator for their own state rather than filing with California solely because Mercury’s corporate office is located there.

Privacy reminder: Never publish your complete policy number, claim number, driver’s license number, Social Security number, banking information, payment-card number, home-security information or other sensitive personal information in a public Mercury Insurance review.

Mercury Insurance Human Resources and Careers

Mercury does not prominently publish a general public Human Resources phone number for job applicants on its main customer Contact page.

Employment candidates should use the official Mercury Insurance Careers website to review current openings and application information.

Career opportunities can include positions in:

  • Claims
  • Customer experience
  • Billing
  • Underwriting
  • Finance
  • Technology
  • Product management

Mercury warns job applicants about fraudulent recruiting messages. Candidates should verify openings through Mercury’s official careers site and be cautious with unsolicited job offers requesting money or sensitive financial information.

Mercury Insurance Reviews on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com

There is currently one visible reader review on this Mercury Insurance CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com page.

The October 2024 reviewer describes dissatisfaction with the handling of a homeowners water-damage claim. According to the review, the claim had continued for months and the customer believed several outstanding items had not been adequately addressed.

Because only one firsthand review is currently visible, it is not enough evidence to establish broad positive or negative customer-service or claims-handling trends across Mercury Insurance.
