Ollie's Jacksonville FL Frustrating Experience

January 7, 2025

Ollie’s, My shopping experience. I have shopped at Ollie’s on Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville, Florida for several years and it has always been a pleasant experience until today, 1/7/25. I went to the checkout line that was already four customers deep. The customers at the front of that checkout were buying a lot of candles and were questioning the prices so the line continued to back up. Finally a young woman walked to another register and begain using the register as though she was going to open that line. I asked if she was going to open and she said “no”. After a couple of minutes she walked to another register and opened it, then took some person who had just walked in the front door with a return. I walked to that register and asked her why she told me she was not going to open? Her response was very rude and she said “because I was not going to open that register”. I told her she could have pointed to the one she opened and then taken me next since I was the next person in line and she gave me a dirty look and said “really”? She never apoligized for the wait and never thanked me for my purchase. I left but her behavior really bothered me so I called the store when I got home and she answered. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was a manager and asked what I needed. I explained that I was the lady in line that she was rude to and asked to speak to her manager. Then she said okay “I’ll get him” and hung up the phone. I called again but the phone just rang and rang. I understand that Ollie’s may not pay much but if she is a manager, she needs some lessons in customer service and manners. I certainly hope someone has a discussion with her about her behavior.

Ollie's Longview TX Disappointing

December 23, 2024

The Ollie’s in Longview, Texas, use to be neat, clean and orderly. Went in today and the floors were filthy and nasty. Products were scattered, aisles blocked by carpet rolls, items stacked dangerously crooked and high… the employees were dressed slovenly, and not helpful. I never saw a store so trashed as this one is. Perhaps someone who knows how to manage the store and an HR personnel is absolutely needed. If all your stores are run like this then you are destined for failure.

Ollie's Greeneville TN Disappointing

November 19, 2024

Ollie’s, Have been to my local Ollie’s many times and never had a complaint until today. I entered the store and immediately saw trash on the floor. I went to find the product I was looking for and noticed that all the shelves were in disarray along with items lying on the floor. This was in every section of the store. Unless this store is cleaned up I will not be shopping here again.

Ollie's Employee Issue

November 3, 2024

Ollie’s, employees getting written up or terminated for not getting customers to sign up for the OA Membershhip Card. Employees cannot force the customers to sign up for the membership if they ( the customer) chooses not do so. Its not the CSA fault if the customer chooses not to sign up. Employees cannot force a customer to do anything their will. Yes its good when a customer signs up for the perks, but to force a customer to sign up or get terminated is just not right.
