Potbelly Roseville MI Disappointing Experience

April 10, 2025

Potbelly, Very poor service. Upon placing my order today, the person who took it was unfriendly and abrupt. The next employee encounter was choosing the sandwich toppings. I recited my order and noticed that the server did not include an item. When I corrected her, she inferred that I was at fault and that I did not include it in my order. (I DID!!!!) Next came time to pay. I paid with a card and was unsure how to proceed. The employee told me to (Just press that button). I pressed the button and inserted my card. The total added a tip to the order. I do not tip at a fast-food restaurant. Certainly not when the service is poor, and not when the prices are already exorbitantly high. I asked verbally what the bill amount was and was given the amount not including the tip. I reviewed the receipt only to discover that a tip was included and added to the standard bill. I don’t mind tipping, but I want to control it, not have it added to my bill without my knowledge nor consent. I was angry and asked for a refund of the tip as a matter of principle. I was told that they would have to cancel the transaction and re-run it. At that point, I’d had enough and left. There was no “Thank you”, or “I’m sorry”. The employee simply didn’t care and walked away. This entire staff need to undergo customer service training. However, I will never know if they do or don’t, because I will not be returning to Potbelly. The number on the bill is 013 004 200 000 110 610 30. The store was at 32457 Gratiot, Roseville, MI.

Pot Belly Plymouth MN Disappointing Experience

Pot Belly, I went to the store in Plymouth, MN today, at 3235 Vicksburg Ln N, suite A, planning to purchase lunch. When I saw your employe sitting on a food prep table in plain view of customers and another co worker working around her as she was eating there as well, we left in absolute disgust that she would have the audacity to do that doing open store hours and her co worker allowing this behavior. Incredibly unsanitary and unprofessional. Who wants to eat here after seeing that?? The only thing from keeping me from blasting this on social media is that she might be a minor and I am being respectful of that fact.
