  • Problem during a stay: Contact the Element hotel’s front desk and request the manager on duty.
  • New or existing reservation: Call Marriott Reservations at 1-888-236-2427 or access the reservation through Marriott.com or the Bonvoy app.

  • Lost property: Contact the specific Element hotel directly.

Information to Have Before Contacting Element Hotels

Prepare the details that apply to the stay or complaint:

  • Element hotel name, city, state, and country
  • Reservation confirmation number
  • Guest name and email address used for the booking
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • Room number, when appropriate
  • Marriott Bonvoy membership number
  • Booking source, such as Marriott.com or a third-party travel website
  • Hotel folio or itemized receipt
  • Dates and amounts of disputed charges
  • Photographs of cleanliness, maintenance, or room-condition problems
  • Names or titles of hotel managers already contacted
  • Previous Marriott case number
  • A concise explanation of the requested resolution

Element Hotels Reservations and Cancellations

Element reservations booked directly through Marriott can generally be reviewed through Marriott’s website, the Marriott Bonvoy app, or the reservation confirmation email. Review the rate terms before changing or canceling a booking because deadlines and fees can vary by hotel, selected rate, dates, and reservation type.

After canceling, save the cancellation number and confirmation email. Removing a reservation from an application or failing to arrive does not necessarily cancel the booking.

If the reservation was made through another company, that company may control changes, cancellations, refunds, and payment questions. The Element hotel should still be contacted about room conditions, accessibility, check-in, safety, and other property-level concerns.

Element Hotels Billing, Deposits, and Refunds

Request an itemized folio before disputing an Element Hotels charge. Compare the folio with the reservation confirmation and payment statement.

Common billing questions can involve:

  • Room-rate differences
  • Taxes or destination fees
  • Parking charges
  • Pet fees
  • Incidental authorizations
  • Late-cancellation or no-show charges
  • Damage, smoking, or cleaning fees
  • Duplicate-looking transactions

A pending card authorization is not always a completed charge. Ask the hotel whether the transaction is an authorization, a settled payment, or a separate fee. Refund responsibility can depend on whether the hotel, Marriott, or a third-party booking provider collected the payment.

How to Escalate an Element Hotels Complaint

  1. Report an active-stay problem to the front desk as soon as possible.
  2. Ask for the manager on duty or the hotel’s general manager if the first response is insufficient.
  3. Document the room condition, charge, policy, or service issue and the requested resolution.
  4. Request a written response, corrected folio, incident report, or notation on the reservation.
  5. Contact Marriott Customer Support at 1-800-535-4028 and request a case number.
  6. Retain emails, chat records, photographs, receipts, and call notes.
  7. Use the Bethesda headquarters address for a final written corporate escalation if the hotel and Customer Support do not resolve the documented matter.

Property ownership and management can vary among Marriott-branded hotels. Some issues may require Marriott Customer Support to coordinate with the individual Element property or its management company.

Room, Housekeeping, and Accessibility Concerns

Report cleanliness, maintenance, noise, pest, heating, cooling, plumbing, lock, or amenity problems while the hotel has an opportunity to inspect and correct the condition. Ask management to document any problem that remains unresolved at checkout.

Guests who require an accessible room or a particular accessibility feature should contact the individual Element hotel before arrival. Confirm the exact room feature needed and ask that the request be documented in the reservation. Amenities, layouts, pet rules, parking, breakfast hours, and accessibility features can differ by property.

For an immediate danger, medical emergency, fire, suspected crime, or serious safety threat, contact local emergency services instead of waiting for corporate customer support.

Privacy and Booking Warning
Do not publish a reservation confirmation, Bonvoy number, full payment-card number, account password, identification document, home address, or room number during an active stay. Use Marriott’s official website, Bonvoy app, or a verified hotel number. Be cautious of fake reservation sites, unexpected refund messages, and anyone demanding payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, or remote access to a device.

Wrongfully Evicted From Element Hotels

April 6, 2024

On Feb. 25, 2024, my apartment was destroyed by a fire. From the 26th until March 5th, I was tossed out because my daughter had possession of weed on her but smoked it in the designated area. the housekeeper came to clean and went back to the front desk to say we were smoking. I don’t smoke and neither one of us smoking in the room. I was roaming around Rockland County with no place to go. finally, I was staying in another hotel paying out of my pocket with no money. other people had to pay for me. this was at 90 spring valley marketplace in spring valley. the hotel did not want people from Slinn Avenue over there and was trying to kick everybody who lived on Slinn ave out on the street. that was only because where we lived was the projects and made the element hotel look bad. they made the other guests feel bad for staying in the projects and that they didn’t want to come down for free breakfast. everyone ended up staying in their rooms to cook. why should people pay for food when it’s free? that’s not fair to pay out of pocket when there’s a free breakfast. so tell me what is the purpose of free food when we are paying for it?
