  • I really miss the Fashion Bug!! I have shopped at the Avenue store in Worcester Ma several times in the last few months. OMG, I CAN NOT believe how RUDE,IGNORANT AND STRAIGHT OUT NASTY the store manager BRANDI was to me!!! She was very loud and told me she didn't need my business or money!! All because I asked her if she had a different size top out back!!! I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there. I will not be shopping there any longer!! I have been in retail for over 20 years. Its a shame that the Corporate office would allow such behavior!! Without paying customers, you have NO BUISNESS!! I certainly hope this company goes out of business SOON!!

    • And Corporate is just as RUDE. They have a fax line that isn't even a designated separate line and if you get "disconnected" as usually happens and you call back, you get the fax line. WTF?

       
  • I agree with all of you, Avenue has poor customer service. I was 10 days past their 60 day return policy and they will not take back my items. I was very busy during tax season; I usually don't hold merchandise I have to return that long. I told them I understand they have a return policy but I should at least get store credit for the items I purchased online. They all still had the tags attached and most of the items were not clearance items and I had my online receipt plus the fact that I used my Avenue card. I have never had a retail store refuse a return for at least store credit. I am closing my account and will not do business with them again. I have read some other comments saying they are closing stores, if this is true, maybe they should consider treating their customers better instead of tightening their belts with stupid policies that hurt their customers. Without customers, there is no business???????

     
  • I too was a victim of the Avenue. They sent me a coat that wasn't even my size, it was like 4 sizes to small. I called them immediately & told them the problem. The told me to ship it back. Well after about a month, Cat from CS emails me & tells me that I could not refund my money because the coat was worn. I never even took it out if the damn bag, let alone tried to wear it. I complained back and now after 4 months and being told in email that they were issuing a refund, they want me to pay 8.95 to get it back or they would give it to a charity. I requested a picture of the coat and also a receipt from the charity for tax purposes. I also filed complaints with BBB and Consumer Affairs.

     
  • I just ordered over $200 worth of merchandise, I need to return 3 of the items because one just doesn't look good on me, one pants is too short because they don't have consistent manufacturing and the last item is poorly manufactured (a sparkly top-the sparklies are sharp, I think I will be injured by it). They said "I cannot return because they were outlet purchases and those items are final sales. THEY NEVER DISCLOSED THAT AT THE TIME I WAS PURCHASING!!! DO NOT SHOP AVENUE THEY ARE THIEVES WITH DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!

     
  • I am so upset over this company I am now going to cut my card in half and close the account I got a blouse for christmas and loved it so I ordered it from them ship to store.. I wore the one I got for christmas to the store to pick up my new order , the girl had me sign for it and I picked up the package and went to the car and went home as soon as I got home I went in to check it and noticed I had grease and brown stuff all over my blouse that I wore to the store.. I thought what the hell and picked up the bad the underside was filthy I called customaer service and they wont do a thing .. I emailed them got no where .. so good bye avenue and I am sending back what I had just received and sending the dirty bag back with it . so mad .. customer service is the worse I have ever dealt with

     
  • I had got 8 shirts for Christmas a few I have worn once and the beading is already falling of horrible quality and customer service people are rude the people in store are rude im waiting now for the corporate office to call me I will never call customer service again I go straight to corporate but horrible business all together

     
  • Terrible customer service! They could barely understand and comprehend English whatsoever. First person got my billing address wrong so here I am waiting two weeks for boots that never came. Then I get an email that says my order was partially shipped when I only ordered one pair of boots. So I call the lady tells me order has to be cancelled because my billing address didn't match my shipping. I was extremely irritated since we had gone over the addressees two weeks ago and he got them correct but didn't change my old billing address. She proceeds to tell me that since this order is cancelled she needs to place a new one and now there is a 50/50 chance I get my boots. I said when I placed the order, they were in stock and that was not my fault but she said nothing she could do. So rude, there is always something you could do. Offer free shipping on another pair of instock boots, offfer a reduced price, express shipping on another order. You compensate to you constomers when you mess it, especially a long time, loyal customer.

     
  • I wish I had seen this website before ordering online from the Avenue. I, too, will never order from them again or set foot in their stores. They will not accept certain items for return because they say the items were on "clearance," although nothing was marked as such when ordering. Horrendous customer service. No wonder their stores were empty when I attempted to make my returns.

     
  • I'm so disgusted by Avenue. I place to order online for store pickup. They waited to tell me that my items have to come in because their system was down, I didn't end up taking my clothes on my trip so I said forget it I want to return it. I purchase my items mid September and still have not been able to return my items it's now almost November I keep getting the run-around about return shipping labels so I walked back into the store and they said no we don't want it back. I've talked to countless supervisors I spent hours on customer service lines with rude rude Representatives. I even spoke with a brother named Anna that said yes yes I really know who you are I will try to escalate this to higher management and they won't pass on the message hopefully this will help.
