Discout Tire Early Texas

Discount Tire, poor service. For the second time in a row I have visited Discount Tire in Early, Texas. I am a long time Discount Tire customer for over 20 plus years. I have purchased tires exclusively at Discount Tire, and had my tires rotated and balanced with discount in various locations. For the second time in a row the Early Texas store has underperformed. I asked for a Rotate and Balance and today the truck was returned with white dirt all in my floorboard and drivers seat, all valve stem caps were loose and one missing, tire pressure monitoring system had not been reprogrammed and pressure was not set to requested pressure of 70 in rear and 60 in the front. This is a 24 model GMC 3500. I keep my truck clean in and out and expect service professionals to do the same and do the job right. This has happened on two separate occasions. I will be taking my business from now on to someone who cares for the customer and the vehicle. Extremely Disappointed.

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for over 20 years and have recommended your business to several others. I have never had a problem until today even with the constant turnover of employees. The first problem was when I was told that I could not be found in the system, so no record of me buying tires for over 20 years. Normally I buy a set of 4 tires with certificates but because 2 of my last set became unrepairable I previously only replaced those two. (We are talking about Cooper CS5 Grand Touring size 225/65 R17.) Now the ones that I did ‘t replace have worn down to 4/32; and 5/32; according to your employee. Okay fine, they are well within the 80,000-mile warranty so lets pro-rate them. Your employee tells me that they are a 70,000-mile tire (your website says 80,000) and that only one tire could be pro-rated. Why is that? Your website claims tires are covered down to 3/32 He says he can pro-rate the one tire and the price would be $172+. I said that I could get that tire on your website for $170. I asked him how much the regular price of that tire and he said $167. (???) Then he said he’s pro-rating the tire from a cost of $234. I had enough of this nonsense and told him to forget it.

Sadly, unless something can be done about this, I have bought my last tire from Discount Tire.

Discount Tire Needs to Perform Better

December 13, 2022

I have been making online appointments one week before the actual scheduled appointment. The wait time before I arrive is in excess of twenty to thirty minutes. I understand the efficiency is 30 percent better if you schedule on line. This is false at this store. I will seek another tire buisness if Discount Tire cannot keep their schedule appointments. I understand buisness and personnel issues. However management needs to perform better.
