  • My family and I reserved 3 cabins and a campsite for my husband's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery last week end. My daughter's cabin had an oder which seamed to come from the air conditioner. She asked for a new cabin and the manager refused and told her she would not get her money back if she leaves. The manager was so rude at one point I asked her where was her customer service and told her she is being so rude with her attitude and her raised voice. My daughter lost her money and she had to get a hotel. The worse KOA I have ever stayed at. It's a shame there is no other place to camp at in this area.

  • KOA/Jacksonville in Kingsland, Georgia. All ways great, this time Memorial Day weekend. It rained a couple hours after being there. Res was Friday-Tuesday. Our lot was underwater for two days. The equipment to get the water out of our site was not working. We and grandkids had to walk in water to get out the door. For two days. My husband went to complain and we were thrown out of the park. Very unhealthy situtation. No money back or im sorry.

  • We are tent camping our way across the US. KOA is getting too expensive for what they offer. Our tent sites have ranged from ok to really sucks. KOA Moab UT was small and packed in tiny squares; KOA Grand Canyon: The sites are nice and big but the bathrooms are way far away, even the portable bathrooms were by the office not out in the back 40; KOA Albuquerque was a super nice place in the middle of a ghetto; KOA Carlsbad NM was the nicest KOA sites we stayed at but they are an hour away from everything; KOA San Antonio put us in a mud hole, apparently they had planted a tree in our spot the day before and didn't think to put us in one of the 5 dry spots they had available. I fell in the mud scaring my dog and she ended up in a drain pipe, I had to dig her out. We ended up in a hotel closer to town. The one that takes the cake is the KOA Hot Springs AR, the tent sites are terraced on a hill and absolutely no drainage so when it rains the tent site at the bottom of the hill becomes a pond (this was our spot). They moved us to a cabin but charged us for the move. She called it a "reservation change". We spent the rest of our weekend trip washing and drying our bedding and clothes. We had to get new tents. I am looking into new camping clubs. KOA seems to be getting tired and is failing to meet the standards they set just a few years ago.
