  • One more comment to add and then we wash our hands of this restaurant: We have given Pizza Ranch many online orders as well as eating in their establishment, for years. We have given them just as much money as any other customer. Yet, we were treated with disrespect last night. It's a disgrace. They are not the gestapo. Also, there was maybe ten minutes left before they were to close everything down with the exception of their carry-out orders that would have been available for maybe another half hour. The employees need to attend classes where they learn compassion, kindness and how to interact with customers. The whole situation could have been much better with humor, kindness and caring. Instead, they chose to ridicule, hurl insults and be as nasty and unprofessional as they could muster.

  • My fiance and I ate at the Pizza Ranch in Missouri Valley, Iowa tonight. We have been loyal customers for years. We have never been more insulted or humiliated than we were tonight. We paid for two adult buffets that came to $22.00 for two people. I did not even make a second trip up to the buffet. We had a few extra pieces of dessert pizza that we wanted to bring to our mother at home along with a salad that we PAID for as well, which was almost $8.00.. She asked if we could bring her some dessert. We made the mistake of asking for an extra container. This was met with an extremely snotty response from one of the female employees who then stood and stared toward us for the next few minutes along with a male employee. We felt extremely uncomfortable. As we left with our items, the male employee who was staring at us, said "Have a great night, enjoy all the extra food you took." That made us very upset and embarrassed as we are not thieves and we were not trying to do anything untoward. We would never take advantage. I am a paying customer. I asked my fiance to take the napkin wrapped dessert back and slam it on the counter. I was upset and embarrassed, so I apologize for my part. When my fiance did so and asked if he had a problem which he clearly did, the male employee called him an idiot. He then proceeded to yell out the drive up window at us, leering at us. My fiance told him he wanted his supervisor’s name. He yelled "Go ahead, we have you on camera." This is unacceptable. If we did not know the rules, than forgive us, but that behavior from your employees is unacceptable, crude and disgusting. I will NEVER go back to your restaurant. I am insulted and I will not be treated like a common thief. You need to have better, more respectful employees who actually care. The customer may not always be right, but they are always important. There were many other ways this could have been handled and sadly, they chose to be abusive. They could have gently told us about the rules so that we understood. We reacted to this abuse, I will admit it right out in the open but there is no excuse. Is Pizza Ranch the law? I am always respectful when I go out to public places and I deserve the same respect. We are appalled by the bully mentality. We are sure the manager will not do a thing about it. If you stand by your employees bullying and egging on a customer, than that is very sad indeed. Instead of driving out customers, especially ones who have been coming to your establishment since it opened, you should try much harder to bring people in and treat them with kindness and respect.

  • I'm a pizza ranch employee (soon to be ex employee because of this) and I recently had an experience with another pizza ranch employee. I was working salad bar at the story city Pizza Ranch on broad street when all of a sudden he comes over by me and i don't pay any attention because i'm doing my flip and i was trying to get done so i could be done with my shift then i feel something warm on the bottom of my pant leg. Turns out it was human urine from him. i told my manager and all she said is she would talk to him i took it up with her supervisor and he said the same he said he has done things like this multiple times and still hasnt got fired for some reason? nothing has been done about it yet one of my parents already called and they didnt do anything then either. im a 17 year old girl i should not have to have a work experience like this ever. this shouldnt be how workplaces handle things.

    • On July 6, 2017 we did a fundraiser at the PR in Butte, MT to raise funds to help provide food, care, medical to the Animal Shelter located in Dillon, Montana.
We were very disappointed in the way the PR Manager lie and mislead us into believing we could raise $1200.00 to $1500.00 for our shelter fury friends.
Instead we only raise $144.20 which is a far cry from what was promised and promoted by PR Management.
When I brought this to the attention of Adrie Groeneweg (President/CEO) it was passed to a Manager named Tim who could only talk down and blame us for everything. The failure was all our fault. He was told what we were promised and promoted by the PR Manager of the PR in Butte, Montana.
By not accepting the truth and correcting the problem Pizza Ranch threw the animals of the shelter under the bus because of their greed for money at the expense of the homeless and abused animals.
To the people of Butte, Montana take your business and family else where where the homeless and abused animals are not thrown under the bus by greed of Pizza Ranch Management from top to bottom.

  • I was looking for some way to notify the Corporate Office of Pizza Ranch to complain about the Pizza Ranch in Roscoe, IL. I guess this is the only way to register a complaint. I would like a response from someone in the corporate office, I guess I'll see if that happens.
Yesterday, Sunday April 24, 2016, my husband and I treated our son and a friend to dinner at Pizza Ranch in Roscoe. It was a very bad experience. We had ordered 2 pizzas when we paid. One Buffalo Chicken and one Steak and Onion. When the pizza came, it was only the Buffalo Chicken. The person who brought it said the Steak & Onion was on the buffet. We thought that was weird since they always brought it right to us and it was hot and usually good. We went to the pizza buffet and there was no Steak & Onion pizza on it. So we waited a few minutes and then my husband went back up to the cashier(a different one than we had placed our order with when we paid)and said we had ordered a Steak & Onion pizza which never came and he asked if he could order one again. She told hm that they don't deliver them to you anymore and they are always going to have one on the buffet. He told them there wasn't one and he wanted to order one. She took his order and gave him a number. Again we waited and waited and I finally went and asked to speak to the manager. Probably about 10 minutes later the "manager" came out and I explained the whole thing to him. He didn't seem concerned, in fact he hardly said anything. He was walking away and I asked him if they were going to make the pizza, and his reply was "Yeah!" I said, excuse me, did you say "Yeah?" He again replied "yeah" again. I said and you're the Manager? And you reply "Yeah"? I was very upset, and so I asked his name and he replied "Eduardo". I told him I was going to register a complaint. He didn't seem to concerned and then we left.
IF when we ordered our pizza the girl had told us about not delivering to the customer anymore we would have looked on the buffet for it. There was no mention of that. It was a terrible experience and we will never go back to that PR. We will drive to Clinton Iowa ( a 2 hr drive) where we always have a great experience. They have a better assortment of side dishes than the Roscoe one. They also have told us we could order anything off their menu except hot wings and the will bring to the table. In fact it was there recently that we found out that the Steak & Onion pizza was back. We ordered it and they brought it to our table. Too bad not all Pizza Ranches live up to the standards of the one in Clinton Iowa. It's a friendlier PR, and always clean with more of a variety of side dishes than the one in Roscoe.
Maybe if the PR in Roscoe would have their manager out in the restaurant area observing what is going on in the restaurant instead of just staying in the kitchen, maybe then things could run better. Maybe not. You need a manager who actually cares about his job and how the restaurant is run. Their current manager doesn't seem to care.
We will never go back to that Pizza ranch again! Do not recommend it!

  • My husband and I have dined at the Pizza Ranch in Waverly many times in the past year. The last four or five times we have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, the cleanliness, and the management of the establishment. If you dine before 6:00, which we do, the food is always left overs from lunch. The food that should be hot is barely warm, pizza, cheese bread, green beans, corn, all of it. The desert is tough and not warm at all. I've complained to the manager before and all I get is a "sorry". We returned because we thought after we complained, maybe something would improve. Tonight was the final straw. Everything was leftovers as always and not even warm, and finally after 45 minutes they put out some "fresh" chicken. My husband and I got some of that, bit in to it, and it was raw and bloody toward the middle. I took it up to the counter and asked for the manager and Nadine came over, said "that's not the first ones that have come back tonight, sorry", and walked away. Hello!!! I've managed restaurants myself, & not only is that terrible management, but just asking for people to get extremely sick! We were totally disgusted with the entire dining experience. I think it's time to quit with serving leftovers from lunch, and get a crew and management that knows theirs jobs and cares about customer service. I'll be calling corporate on Monday to see if anyone cares enough to make some changes before that restaurant loses all their patrons.

  • We ate at the independence missouri place and let me tell you it was the worst experience i have ever had a restaurant EVER! We wanted something quick and easy so we chose this place. My family and i will not be back!! No pizza for atleast 20 minutes. No gravy for the potatoes for atleast half an hr. Every single table in the restaurant was dirty. The floor was so discusting and looked like it hadnt been vacuumed all day. Employees were chatting like little high schoolers that were planning to pull a prank on someone. Napkins were empty and noone once came to the table to clear our dishes. I seen one manager the whole 45 minutes we were there. Not to mention the creepy old man that followed the little girls that worked there around. Just no managment in place and no control over the place.

  • You claim to be Christian based, but then you're open for Christmas!!! Shame on you. I have a family member being forced to work both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Very despicable. You're not Christian based. You're Greed based.

  • So I must say as an employee of Pizza Ranch, I am beyond disappointed with the way we are treated. We work our hardest to make Pizza Ranch the best and in return we are given empty promises that don't get fulfilled. Pizza Ranch has done all its employees wrong or at least where I am employed. Pizza Ranch should be communicating with all employees, not just managers. If Pizza Ranch really knew what was going on in its stores, I don't think they would be very happy. We should be recognized for what we do. The question is what are you doing or going to do to keep people at Pizza Ranch, when there is no way to grow within the company.
