Sainsburys Disappointing Produce Section

February 16, 2025

Sainsburys worksop 9am. I am 77 years old. I have shopped with Sainburys for many many years and never had to complaint. But I was so not happy with the fruit and veg sections. I had to speak with the duty manager about it she said that she was sorry this was lack of shelve filling staff nocoming in until later in the morning. I thought that fresh food display was a good part of the stores trend as it is the first main two aisles customers see. But Saturday it truly was a mess! I put all my goods back and did my weekly shop else where you was 70£ out on my purchases on Saturday. Tesco were happy reply.

Sainsburys Disappointing Delivery Issue

January 16, 2025

Sainsburys, I had a disagreement with a delivery driver who falsely accused me of throwing something at him. Thankfully, I had a recording that proved otherwise. Despite this, the driver took the delivery back, even after I explained that I’m diabetic and disabled and needed the food. He misrepresented the situation to his manager, and they refused to re-deliver. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Sainsburys Frustrating Customer Service Issue

December 11, 2024

Sainsburys, Failure to Respond to serious complaint about a food delivery. Contamination of a crate of products due to careless handling. The failure was in allowing delivery of a tray of ordered products to be damaged and the failure to respond adequately to our complaint. The crate was contaminated by a broken jar of prunes such that all products were contaminated by the sticky liquid and a liquid surface area was slopping around in the delivered tray. Over £30 worth of goods were affected but not noted or recorded by the delivery driver. There was cleaning required to our kitchen worktop and some slight spills on the floor to the front door. The promise of a redelivery the following day was made even though this it turns out was not possible. The store (Broadcut) was not notified. Your help number prevented us from contacting the store direct which would have been the best and quickest option. A promise was made by staff at the call centre hat a full refund would be forthcoming was also made and not fulfilled although how that could be when no record was made by the driver. The contacts in your call centre were extremely difficult to understand to the point that no meaningful conversation could be had. The delivery was on friday 6th December and todate (11th December) no refund has been received nor any apology made. This is the second delivery in as many months on a Friday (may or may not be relevant) where goods have been damaged by careless packing of the crate at picking time. We have been customers of Sainsburys for many years and understand the pressures you staff can be under especially at this time of year but the frustration of not being able to talk to a responsible member of staff nor contacting anyone other than the help desk (no use at all) is probably the worst aspect. We had to venture out into the storm to buy those items we were missing and clean up the mess that occured. Fortunately our kitchen and hall floors are solid and not carpeted!!
