Where Is Tesco Head Office?

Tesco’s head office is located at:

Tesco PLC
Tesco House
Shire Park
Kestrel Way
Welwyn Garden City
Hertfordshire AL7 1GA
United Kingdom

Tesco House is both Tesco PLC’s head office and its registered company address. Customers should not assume that the head office operates as a walk-in customer-service centre. Product returns, refunds, order corrections, store complaints, and Clubcard enquiries are generally handled through Tesco stores or the appropriate customer-support department.

What Is the Tesco Head Office Phone Number?

The verified Tesco head-office phone number is 01992 632222. Callers outside the United Kingdom can use +44 1992 632222.

This number connects with Tesco PLC’s corporate office. It is not the preferred contact for:

  • Online grocery deliveries
  • Missing, damaged, substituted, or incorrect items
  • Store-level complaints
  • Clubcard accounts and points
  • F&F Clothing orders
  • Tesco Marketplace purchases
  • Tesco Mobile accounts
  • Tesco Bank or insurance products
  • Job applications or employee scheduling

Using the correct department usually gives Tesco the information and authority needed to investigate the matter more efficiently.

Choosing the Correct Tesco Contact Route

Online Grocery Orders and Deliveries

Call 0800 323 4040 for problems involving online grocery orders, including:

  • Missing or incorrect items
  • Unsuitable substitutions
  • Late or missed delivery
  • Damaged groceries
  • Delivery charges
  • Refunds or account credits
  • Changes or cancellation before the order cutoff

Complaints About a Tesco Store

For a problem at a particular Tesco location, begin with the store manager or customer-service desk. The store is usually best placed to review employee conduct, product availability, queues, pricing displays, accessibility, cleanliness, parking, or a local collection order.

If the store does not resolve the matter, call Tesco’s in-store customer-service team at 0800 505 555. Customers can find store addresses, facilities, and opening times through the official Tesco Store Locator.

Clubcard Accounts and Points

Call 0800 591 688 for Clubcard account access, missing points, vouchers, replacement cards, partner rewards, or account information. Do not post a Clubcard number, voucher code, login information, postal address, email address, or transaction history in a public comment.

F&F Clothing Orders

For an online F&F Clothing order, call 0800 323 4040 and select option 3. Clothing purchased in a Tesco store should normally be addressed through the store or Tesco’s in-store support team.

Tesco Marketplace Orders

Tesco directs Marketplace customers to contact the individual seller first. The seller is generally responsible for fulfilment, delivery, returns, refunds, and complaints relating to the product it supplied.

If the seller does not respond or the issue remains unresolved, call 0800 323 4040 and select option 4. Tesco Marketplace purchases should not normally be returned to a Tesco grocery store unless Tesco or the seller specifically instructs the customer to do so.

How to Make a Complaint to Tesco

  1. Identify the responsible department. Determine whether the issue concerns a store, online delivery, Clubcard, Marketplace seller, clothing order, Tesco Mobile, or a separate financial product.
  2. Contact the first-line support route. Use the store manager, official contact form, relevant customer-service number, or Marketplace seller.
  3. Provide specific facts. Include the store location, order date, delivery date, product name, receipt details, and a concise description of what happened.
  4. State the requested resolution. Explain whether you are requesting a refund, replacement, correction, explanation, account adjustment, or written response.
  5. Request a case or reference number. Keep the reference number, representative’s name, date, time, and any written correspondence.
  6. Escalate within the same case. If the first response does not address the complaint, ask for review by a supervisor or the team responsible for escalated complaints.
  7. Write to Tesco head office when appropriate. A concise written complaint can be sent to Tesco House when normal support channels have been exhausted or the matter concerns broader corporate conduct.

A written corporate complaint can be addressed to:

Customer Relations or Relevant Corporate Department
Tesco PLC
Tesco House
Shire Park
Kestrel Way
Welwyn Garden City
Hertfordshire AL7 1GA
United Kingdom

Include copies rather than original receipts or documents. Do not send payment-card details, account passwords, security answers, or unnecessary identification documents.

What to Include in a Tesco Complaint

  • Your name and a safe method for Tesco to contact you
  • The Tesco store or website involved
  • The date and approximate time of the incident
  • The order, delivery, or receipt reference when relevant
  • The product name, size, barcode, or batch details when relevant
  • A short factual timeline
  • Previous case or complaint reference numbers
  • The response already received
  • The specific resolution you are seeking

Keep the complaint focused on verifiable events. Avoid threats, insults, unsupported criminal accusations, or personal information about individual employees.

Tesco Grocery Refunds and Order Complaints

Customers may be able to change or cancel an online grocery order before the published cutoff through their Tesco account or by contacting online grocery customer service.

For a delivered item that is damaged, missing, poor quality, incorrectly substituted, or otherwise unsuitable, contact Tesco promptly through 0800 323 4040 or the official contact page. Have the order number and product information available.

Tesco’s terms state that products generally cannot be returned to the driver at the point of delivery. Items being returned because the customer changed their mind may ordinarily be taken to a local store with the delivery note, subject to Tesco’s exclusions and product-specific conditions.

Tesco Product Quality Complaints and Returns

Tesco advises customers who are unhappy with a Tesco product to return it to a store within 30 days with proof of purchase for review, refund, or exchange, subject to the applicable policy and exclusions.

For a food-quality or possible safety issue:

  • Stop consuming or using the product.
  • Keep the packaging, barcode, batch code, and use-by or best-before date.
  • Take clear photographs when useful.
  • Retain the receipt or online order record.
  • Contact the store or Tesco customer service promptly.
  • Check Tesco’s official website for any applicable product-recall notice.

A quality complaint does not automatically establish a wider product defect. Tesco should be given the product information needed to investigate the individual batch or supplier.

Tesco Marketplace Refunds and Returns

Marketplace sellers generally manage their own deliveries, returns, refunds, and product complaints. Tesco’s Marketplace terms provide a return period for many eligible items, but exclusions may apply based on product type, hygiene requirements, customisation, perishability, software seals, or other conditions.

Contact the seller through the Tesco account or Marketplace order record first. If the seller does not resolve the complaint, contact Tesco Marketplace support at 0800 323 4040, option 4.

Unresolved Online Transaction Complaints

If Tesco’s internal complaint process does not resolve an online transaction dispute, customers may review their statutory consumer rights through Citizens Advice or Trading Standards. Tesco’s published information also points customers toward Consumer Arbitration for information about possible alternative dispute resolution.

The availability and suitability of an external dispute process depend on the type of transaction and the circumstances. Customers should not assume that every dispute is automatically eligible for arbitration.

Tesco Bank, Mobile, Insurance and Travel Money Contacts

Tesco’s corporate switchboard is not the correct first contact for Tesco-branded banking, credit-card, insurance, travel-money, or mobile-phone accounts.

  • Tesco Bank and financial products: Use the contact information shown on the applicable statement, card, policy, or official Tesco Bank website.
  • Tesco Mobile: Use the account help options and contact details on the official Tesco Mobile website.
  • Insurance: Use the claims or customer-service number provided in the policy documents.
  • Travel Money: Use the contact route provided with the order or through Tesco’s official travel-money pages.

Tesco completed the sale of its banking operations to Barclays in November 2024. Customers should use the current servicing details displayed on their account documents rather than sending account-specific questions to Tesco PLC’s head office.

Tesco Human Resources and Careers

Tesco does not publish its corporate switchboard as a general employee scheduling, payroll, or job-application helpline. Current and former employees should use their internal manager, people-team contact, employee portal, payroll documentation, or the contact route provided with their employment records.

Job applicants can search current vacancies and application information through the official Tesco Careers website. Applicants should not send passports, bank details, tax documents, or other sensitive employment information through an unverified email address or public comment.

Tesco Privacy and Data-Protection Concerns

Privacy concerns involving Tesco accounts, cookies, marketing preferences, personal data, or access requests should be submitted through Tesco’s official privacy and contact resources.

Before submitting a public review, remove:

  • Clubcard numbers
  • Order numbers that could identify an account
  • Payment-card details
  • Passwords or security answers
  • Home addresses
  • Personal email addresses and telephone numbers
  • Employee surnames or personal information
  • Medical or disability records not necessary to explain the complaint

CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com cannot access Tesco accounts, issue refunds, replace Clubcards, investigate employees, or change Tesco’s internal records.

Tesco Ownership and Corporate Structure

Tesco PLC is a publicly owned United Kingdom public limited company and the overall holding company for the Tesco group. It does not have a conventional parent retail company above Tesco PLC.

The wider Tesco group includes grocery and related operations such as Tesco stores, Booker, One Stop, dunnhumby, and Tesco Mobile. Tesco’s principal retail markets include the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and parts of Central Europe.

Because Tesco PLC is publicly owned, its shareholders can change over time through normal stock-market transactions. A large institutional shareholder should not automatically be described as Tesco’s parent company or controlling owner.

Who Is the CEO of Tesco?

Ken Murphy is Tesco PLC’s Group Chief Executive.

Other senior Tesco leaders include:

  • Dr Gerry Murphy: Chair
  • Imran Nawaz: Chief Financial Officer

Executive and board positions can change. Current leadership and governance information should be confirmed through Tesco PLC’s official board and executive information.

About Tesco

Tesco is a multinational grocery and general-merchandise retailer headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, England. The business traces its origins to Jack Cohen’s market-stall operation in 1919 and later developed supermarkets, convenience stores, large-format locations, online grocery services, wholesale operations, mobile services, and related consumer businesses.

Tesco operates several store and service formats, including Tesco Extra, Tesco Superstore, Tesco Express, One Stop, online grocery delivery, Click+Collect, Booker wholesale operations, and Tesco Mobile.

Tesco Reviews, Complaints and Reader Feedback

Visible reader comments currently associated with this Tesco page include individual complaints about the quality of a Tesco pepperoni pizza and Tesco Finest fillet steak. Another reader asked about a Tesco gift-card competition and whether a prize winner had been announced.

The comment section also contains a complaint about purchasing a Tesla vehicle. That submission is unrelated to Tesco and should not be treated as Tesco customer feedback.

No clear positive-review pattern or meaningful aggregate Tesco rating is presently visible on this page. The remaining comments represent individual reader reports and do not establish companywide product or customer-service trends.

Tesco Disappointing Frozen Pizza Issues

April 21, 2025

Tesco Pepperoni Fresh Pizza in a box from fridge, not frozen. I am shocked that a big company named Tesco is selling a pizza without any sauce under the toppings. it looked like someone wiped the sauce with a wet cloth over it…luckly I usually buy cheap pizza and add toppings from the fridge leftovers: onion, red peppers, mushrooms on this occasion I put some sauce on it……….this is a complaint but also opportunity for Tesco to sell bases for customers to make there own pizza sell sauce and pizza base ….. let customers make there own as Tesco doesn’t know how to make a tasty pizza from their own Tesco Range. If its a value pizza price it should still taste and look like a pizza, dry sad sad-looking thing /…not quality I would sell if I had to put my own name to.

Tesco Disappointing Customer Service

October 27, 2024

Tesco Finest Filet Steak Issue

October 27, 2024

Tesco, Finest filet steak. As a regular buyer of Finest filet steak, which has always been of the quality one would expect of a premium brand, I have been left more than disappointed by recent purchases which, but for the inconvenience, I would have returned. On two separate occasions the so called steaks have been cut along the grain at the thick end of the fillet making them difficult to cook and even more difficult to eat. Technically this is not a filet steak which should be cut across the grain. This only serves to debase the brand which seems to be part of a planned descent into mediocrity as evidenced by the delisting of other premium meat and cleaning products. Suffice to say meat buying will not be part of my future Tesco shopping.
