  • They also keep changing their hours and days open, are closed on days they should be open for Dr appointments instead of having other family members cover for them to keep store open on days it says they are open. They never used to be open on Sunday and they were always open on Tuesday now it says they are open sunday but not on tuesday and it still says open on Wednesday which is one of the days I called to see if they were open before driving a half hour to get there they said no they had Dr appointment. Total B.S as far as I'm concerned they also don't speak or understand English very well but tell you off when they get your order wrong and then tell you that you can no longer call in your order. Not like they will speak or understand English any better in person (which they don't) I've tried that also. Unbelievable to say the very least and what ever happened to the customer always being right in other words you want your customer happy so they will continue buying your product and so they will tell others how great you are, no not now a days. They don't care they don't value their customers and that makes me sick. Laurie Carney age 49

  • I posted a review on Taqueria Del Buen Pastor and it was not a positive one so it is not being shown. I looked everywhere so yes they do take money to have reviews removed. I'm not stupid Yelp or Taqueria Del Buen Pastor YOUR NOT FOOLING ANYONE BUT YOUR STUPID ASS SELVES JUST LIKE ZYNGA CORPORATION AND THEIR MINIONS (SUPPORT REPS) CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY GREED AND POWER BOTTOM LINE AND THOSE THAT WORK FOR THESE COMPANIES WOULD RATHER NOT DO WHAT IS RIGHT HAVE OR USE THEIR MORALS BECAUSE THEY NEED A JOB AND ARE AFRAID OF LOOSING IT SO THEY WOULD RATHER LIE AND PROTECT THEIR OWN ASSES THAN TO DO WHATS RIGHT MORALLY AND LEGALLY Laurie Carney

  • My workout was almost ruined because my Yelp app kept asking me to login and did not retain my new password. I had to report for a third time, at home. Annoying and a waste of time and there is nowhere to email on Yelp! 0 stars!

  • I want to know why my reviews are being filtered by your "special" software. If you are not going to allow valid honest reviews then you should not be in business. I have given five stars to places who do a GREAT job and other people are not able to read it. Yelp sucks and I plan to report to Better Business Bureau and California States Attorneys office for poor business practices. Also, your company should have a phone number where people can call. Yelp receives ZERO stars. Your company is a joke. I see why people want you shut down.

  • A Yelp sales manager called me on setting up advertising for one of my clients and everything was on the right path but then all of sudden she asked What are you making with your client I was in shock this was totally unacceptable. I never asked any of my clients how much I make. That's not right in amy shape or form. I very disappointed and I really looked forward to the opportunity to working with Yelp for both my clients and myself. It is a good resource that many people use a go to search for companies and services alike. I know that but I'm a professional what I make has no bearing on if went forward with using your advertising services. This was really poor choice of words. I'm insulted. I'm a small business and work tremendously hard to gain every client like they are family I am not a cooperation or giant fortune 500 company. Like your co-worker implied if we don't get this restaurant we will just go to the next. Life is not easy like that.

I don't even tell my friends what I make from my clients.

  • We need to know how we can report a dermatologist's office in Valencia, California that is ignoring the Yelp policy by offering free products and discounts for those who give them a high rating on Yelp.

  • Yelp is creating a lot of bad karma with there shady unethical business model. I pray that an enraged business owner doesn't go postal on their corporate headquarters.

  • I am a business owner who recently flagged a comment left by someone who never engaged my services nor spoke with me. here is their response:

    Hi there,

We're writing to let you know that we've evaluated Duke L.'s review of —— —- —– — ——- that you recently flagged. We rely on community engagement to help keep Yelp useful, and although we didn’t agree that this content should come down, we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

    HERE IS MY REPLY:

So is this why we are starting to hear rumblings from the business community and media about YELP?

It is not just that viral piece (TV & Social media) about the guy who gave a poor rating to a restaurant who never even spent more than a couple of minutes there nor engaged any of the staff, but also to people like my poster who:

#1 is not in my area of service (but posted on my YELP page)
    #2 never engaged my service
#3 only spoke with a national scheduling center and who apparently would not provide any contact information so he could be called and provided with the information requested?
#4 a 1 star rating from someone who never used my service is treated the same as a 5 star rating from people who have.

Believe me, I do use YELP when I am considering other services in my personal life and have given good and bad reviews (always legitimate). In the past I have found YELP to be a useful tool in deciding on the purchases or services I will engage.
I am a bit concerned that YELP may be gaining a reputation (deserved?) for NOT being a reliable source of information which the public should use to make purchase or patronage decisions.

    • Yes, my family and also many of my co-workers are feeling less and less that Yelp can be trusted to be honest and fair to both the business owners and the customers/patients. We know of a dermatologist who offers discounts and free products if you give him a good rating on the site. Further, this same doctor forces patients to put down huge NON-refundable deposits if they want to schedule an appointment for cosmetic services. If the patient's health, or other circumstances change–such as if the patient moves out of the area before being able to use up the services PAID for, they still refuse to co-operate. The staff is very rude, and does not tell the patient all the details involved with making the deposit or the details about the recovery time from the procedure. Many of the reviews are inflated because the patients are getting free products or discounts. They promise very dramatic results [for the high cost of their services–such as the Co2 laser], but when the results are barely noticeable, their response for that patient to just pay for the whole procedure again! The doctor admitted to my sister that she did not do the Co2 laser 'hard enough' and told her to just pay to have it done again and she (the doctor) would 'do it harder next time'.

  • Recently, a Yelp reviewer claimed outrageous mistreatment while attending classes at a major So Cal University. Sadly, university staff names were included in that vicious Yelp review.
After calling customer service about revising this review, I learned Yelp reviews aren't edited or removed even when content is outrageous or in obvious poor taste.
Interesting, a polite Yelp salesman promptly called me to sell Yelp advertising.
Yelp, a public company needs to audit their reviews to host reliable customer experiences. Rants and personal grudes don't belong on Yelp.
