Applebees Chester VA Disappointing

February 20, 2025

Applebees in Chester, Virginia was terrible. Never refilled my water, dishes and silverware were dirty. Had to ask twice about getting new silverware, and hamburger was raw when served to us.

Applebees Disappointing Pickup Order

February 15, 2025

Applebees, Waited For Pick Up Order For 1 Hour. Order was supposed to be ready at 5:34. Checked in and waited at the bar. According to a waitress, they had a major mess in the kitchen. It was 6:25 when I finally got my order. Got home and my “no pink”; hamburger was indeed pink on the inside. The chicken was tough as rubber, and my Sprite tasted like straight seltzer water. Made a return trip to get my money back. Apparently the tip wasn’t included in the refund. Not sure how that works.

I’ve had orders messed up there before, but this one broke the proverbial camels back.

Applebees Clarion PA Disappointing Dog Issue

February 15, 2025

Applebees, Totally Embarrassed. There is nothing written online or in store about the service animal policy for Applebees Restaurant. My wife’s service dog is an ‘about the size of a soda bottle’ miniature Yorkie. She fits in her purse wrapped in a blanket and is extremely calm and quiet. We take her everywhere. We have never been denied service from any restaurant in the area, including this Applebees which we are a regular (until now). The fact that we were denied service is not the issue. It’s how the manager handles the situation is. My wife and I visited the Applebee’s in Clarion, Pa. about 12:30 on St. Valentines Day, Friday February 14, 2025. The hostess met us at the door. She saw the dog’s head poking out of the purse but didn’t say a thing except for seating. We requested a booth. She sat us at a booth in the middle of a large crowd of patrons. Our waitress came over and chatted with us for a few minutes and stated how cute the dog was. She took our order and went to put it in. My wife and I were chatting when the manager came over and, in a voice, loud enough to draw the attention of the entire section of the restaurant. “What kind of dog is that”? she asks. The area got much quieter with all eyes on us. I was stunned for a moment. Before I could reply, she continued, “Is that a service dog”? I replied, “Yes, it is”. Then the manager went on a loud rant about the company’s policy concerning service dogs and that we had to leave. The entire restaurant was watching. My wife and I were so embarrassed. Our issue is how this was handled by the staff. The hostess could have said she needed to check with the manager before seating us. The waitress could have done the same thing. The manager could have taken my or myself aside and explained the police to us. To make such a spectacle at our expense was totally not acceptable. Thank you for reading this review.

Applebees Northwood OH Disappointing Wait

February 14, 2025

Applebees, We were in line to be seated, 12 people long. Northwood Ohio store. Only 6 tables were full and the amatuer staff had us waitng in line rather than seating us! How crazy is that? We left after 5 minutes. Will never return. Manager is not there to correct this on Valentine day. Very weird!!!

Applebees Warrenton MO Dining Experience

February 1, 2025

Applebees, Disappointing dining experience. Last evening, I dined at Applebees, with a friend. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait. Which turned into a 45 minute wait. The young lady who was the hostess, was very close to being rude, as we questioned the long wait. Customers behind us, evidently left. There were customers, who finished dining, left, and we continued to wait. Eventually, she took us to our table, on the way, we noticed several booths were open, as were at least 5 tables. Making us wonder why our wait was so long. After about 20 minutes waiting, I asked if we could please be waited on. Our waitress finally arrived, and apologized for the wait. While dining, we notice the busgirl, was cleaning off some tables. She was using the same cleaning cloth, wiping off seats first, then using that same cloth to wipe the tables. Never one time did she wet this cloth or using any type of disinfectant. I have dined at several Applebees restaurants in the St. Louis, Mo. area, and ever had a compliant about service or food,. This experience has left me, with the question, is Applebees gone “downhill”? The only reason I have rated my experience at this restaurant, with 2 stars, is because, the waitress, who served us, was extremely apologetic and very attentive to us. But, our total time to get the $9.99 hamburger special, 2 hours. Totally unacceptable. This restaurant is Applebees, Warrenton, Mo. 63383. We are local residents and will not be dining at this location again. There is other options for us. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
