Gamestop Bait and Switch - Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Ultimate Edition for the PS5

Gs order number 395823 On November 21st, 2023, I visited the GameStop located in Roswell, NM to pre-order the Ultimate Edition of Avatar for the PS5. However, I was not informed that GameStop only had two editions, the regular and gold editions. If I had known that the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Ultimate Edition for the PS5 was unavailable, I would not have pre-ordered the game. Unfortunately, I did not find out until December 10th, 2023. The pre-tax amount for the Ultimate Edition is $129.99. I believe this is a form of bait-and-switch and a poor business practice. I have included the receipts for this order. What actions will you take to correct this situation, unless you want to lose a long-time customer?

GameStop Granite Falls NC Terrible Experience

GameStop, Would give you a zero rating if allowed. Stopped into a GameStop in Granite Falls N.C in Dec. of 24 and. I bought a Nintendo game and some games for Christmas for my grandchildren. At the time, the employee who sold me the unit told me he was going to order me, via the Gamestop website, Madden’s Football game. I never received it at all and a month had gone by. I was told by the very courteous young man if I did not receive the game in the mail to return and he would follow through and check it out, and take care of the matter. I returned on Jan 27 to tell him I had not received the game. The original salesperson was not there. I spoke to another young lady(told me she was the manger) who was not interested at all in my situation, was rude, discourteous, and definitely had a defensive and antagonistic attitude. When trying to discuss the fact that I did not receive the game as promised and could she check it out, the response was like night and day compared to my original salesperson. I endeavored to explain my concern and she was increasingly dismissive and rude, kept interrupting me. As a retired 30 yr retail sales person/mgr with a college degree I tried to offer some advice on customer relations and the importance of a customer who actually walks through the door and has a concern. She basically told me to walk back out the door. I also told her that statically one dissatisfied customer would tell on average 10 other people about their negative experience. She responded that she actually didn’t care how many people I told and go-ahead. I endeavored very politely to question her about her attitude and demeaner and response as a representative of Gamestop and she was completely dismissive and rude. I am 71 yrs old with a lot of experience in the business world and if this is the best GameStop can do then God help them. Absolutely no respect for her elders, no interpersonal communication ability, and absolutely no desire to represent her employer in a professional manner. If I had been her superior I would have fired her on the spot and never provided a positive referral to any other employer. Subsequently I canceled my membership to Gamestop, will be sure to tell more than 10 people about my experience, and never set foot in the local stores again, nor will I purchase anything online from this company. BTW I called customer service about my original concern and (no fault of the representative) could not understand her because of her strong accent.

Dishonest business practices!

My product was never delivered. My refund claim was approved according to 4 different customer service reps on 1/10/24. I have been told 4 different dates when my refund would be deposited into my account ( the latest being in 2 hours! ) Not quite as that is long passed
