Avis Late Fee Issue

Avis Charged late fee for no reason. Not sure what is going on? Avis, charged a $15.00 late fee when the vehicle was returned on time in order for me to catch my pre-booked flight. How would I have been able to return a day late when I was already at home? Customer service required proof of on-time return and case is still not resolved 12 days later. Just remember to take pictures of your vehicle when you return it so that you have proof. Don’t listen to the attendant when they tell you that you can leave and they’ll email a receipt. Get it right then.

Avis Disappointing Rental Experiences

Avis, 3 rentals in 3 weeks. First rental from Kansas City airport, no car in my space, walk back inside was given another vehicle. The tires were awful, I wouldn’t drive it. Second rental Minneapolis, car was a plug in hybrid, missing gas cap cover and hybrid battery was dead. Third from Indianapolis, beautiful new Hyundai, no window washer fluid, it’s winter. Returned car and a day later still can’t get my receipt. Customer service was useless.

Avis,Charges for a Worn Tire. I will pay this bill for your worn tire that literally put our lives at risk, as this happened on a highway with nowhere to pull over. I usually use Hertz and was trying to ascertain how doing business with Avis would change my usual experience with Hertz. Thank you, I will Never use Avis again, and I will of course share my experience with everyone, and anyone that will listen.

Avis Virginia Beach VA Credit Card Issue

Avis, Credit Card Issue. I am contacting you concerning a text I received from Discover. Someone rented a car in Virginia Beach using my credit card number. I live in Texas. When I looked up the number for the rental office and called it, it belonged to an individual named Sylvia Harris. After some research, It looks like she does work for Avis but gave her number instead of the office number. I have since talked to Discover about getting the $604.00 removed from my account. Also as I went through the reviews for this location (3664 Virginia Beach Blvd), 9% of the reviews are negative. I hope this is their practice to rent cars to people without having the physical card available because it makes your company look bad, and it causes people like me to have to wait to receive a new card, try to get charges removed from their card, write a negative review about Avis, contact the BBB and contact the FTC. I hope someone there looks into this branch in Virginia Beach. Their real phone number is 757-340-7093. The number that was listed was 757-406-3805, which belongs to Sylvia Harris.

Avis Overcharge Issue

Avis, Overcharged and Still Waiting for Refund. Avis overcharged me by more than $2,000, as confirmed by an agent via email. I was told I would receive my refund on November 22, but it has yet to be processed. Now, they are denying what they previously stated, despite the email confirmation of the charges. This is unacceptable treatment of a loyal customer. Avis seems to say whatever is needed to quiet complaints, but I won’t stay silent. I will be pursuing legal action if they don’t resolve this and return my money. Customers deserve honesty, not deceit.
