🗨  Comments

Hertz Corporate Office and Headquarters Contact Information

Choose the correct Hertz number: The Estero headquarters number is a corporate switchboard and is not the primary rental-support or complaints line. Use 1-877-599-8916 for customer support, 1-800-654-3131 for a future U.S. reservation or 1-800-654-5060 for roadside assistance.

Where Is Hertz Corporate Headquarters?

Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. is headquartered at 8501 Williams Road, Estero, Florida 33928. The corporate office phone number is 1-239-301-7000.

The headquarters is different from an airport or neighborhood Hertz rental location. Questions involving a pickup, return, vehicle availability or local employee should normally begin with the rental location listed on the reservation or rental agreement.

How to File and Escalate a Hertz Complaint

  1. Start with the rental location when appropriate. Ask the location manager to review vehicle availability, pickup, return or employee-service concerns.
  2. Use the appropriate support channel. Call the customer-support or billing number that matches the issue, or submit a nonurgent question through the Hertz Support Hub.
  3. Request a case or reference number. Record the date, time, representative’s name and promised response date.
  4. Provide concise documentation. Include the confirmation number, rental agreement, receipt, location, dates, disputed amount and the resolution requested.
  5. Follow up in writing. Use the same case number so Hertz can connect later correspondence with the original complaint.
  6. Escalate unresolved issues carefully. For a posted card charge that remains unresolved after Hertz’s review, consult the card issuer about its dispute process and applicable deadlines.

Documents to Keep for a Hertz Complaint

  • Reservation confirmation and rental agreement
  • Final receipt and itemized charge information
  • Pickup and return photographs or videos
  • Fuel or charging receipts
  • Emails, chat transcripts and case numbers
  • Bank records showing whether a transaction is pending or fully posted
  • Police, towing or incident information when applicable

Help With Common Hertz Problems

Reservation or Vehicle Availability Problems

For a future booking, call 1-800-654-3131. If a reservation was made through a travel agency or another booking website, Hertz may direct the customer back to that company for changes or refunds. Keep the confirmation number and any written vehicle or rate guarantee.

Billing, Duplicate Charges and Refunds

Call Hertz customer service and billing at 1-800-654-4173. Ask whether the transaction is an authorization hold, pending charge or completed charge. Provide the rental agreement, final receipt and a bank record showing the disputed transaction. Hertz receipts can also be retrieved through the official receipt lookup.

Rental Extensions and Return Changes

Call 1-800-654-4174 before the scheduled return time to request an extension or a different return location. Rates and fees may change, so request confirmation of the revised terms.

Breakdowns, Unsafe Vehicles or Accidents

Urgent safety warning: Move to a safe location when possible and call 911 if anyone is injured or in immediate danger. For a breakdown, collision, theft or unsafe Hertz vehicle, call 24-hour roadside assistance at 1-800-654-5060. Do not wait for the corporate office to respond.

Hertz asks renters involved in an accident to contact the police and then call roadside assistance. Do not authorize repairs to a Hertz vehicle without instructions. Use the official accident and damage guidance to file or follow up on a report.

Vehicle Damage Disputes

Photograph the vehicle at pickup and return, including the body, glass, wheels, fuel or battery level and mileage. Report existing damage promptly. For damage questions, call 1-800-654-1110; customers with an existing claim number may call 1-877-584-7159.

Toll and Traffic-Violation Charges

Compare the notice with the rental dates, vehicle information and toll records. Hertz states that toll and violation processing is administered by Verra Mobility, which can be reached at 1-877-977-5771.

Hertz Frustrating Unresolved Reservation Experience

May 28, 2025

Hertz, Charged Four Times, No Reservation Received. I attempted to book a reservation on Hertz.com but kept encountering network errors when submitting my request. Although I never received a confirmation email — and no reservation was ever completed — my card was charged four times, totaling $1,400. I immediately contacted customer service, but the response has been extremely frustrating. I was told it could take up to three days to investigate. In the meantime, I’m out a significant amount of money for a reservation I never received. This kind of error is unacceptable, and the lack of urgency from support only adds to the frustration.

Response from Corporate Office Headquarters

Suggested Solution: Contact Hertz Billing Support Directly: Call 1-800-654-4173 and ask to speak with a billing or escalations specialist. Be clear that this is a case of multiple erroneous charges with no completed reservation. Email Hertz Customer Relations with Documentation: Email customerrelations@hertz.com and include: A summary of what happened. Dates and times you attempted to book. Screenshots of the charges from your bank or card statement. A request for immediate refund and confirmation the charges are reversed. Contact Your Credit Card Company or Bank: Since this appears to be a billing error without service rendered, file a dispute for the four transactions. Credit card issuers often reverse these quickly when no goods/services were delivered. File a Complaint with the BBB or Consumer Protection Agency (if unresolved): You can file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau or your state’s attorney general’s office if you don’t receive a resolution within the promised time frame.

Hertz Brussels Frustrating Experience

May 15, 2025

Hertz, No one in office? We rented a BMW in Brussels for a couple of weeks. My mother wanted to extend for another week, so I started calling the office at the Brussels airport for 3 hours I was calling and no one answered. It was a 6.5-hour drive to Brussels and I was dreading having to drive 13 hours to have another week. I called another number I had which was central Brussels office and Guillaume answered. I explained what was happening and he said normally he can’t do it but that he would make sure the airport knew. If he was the average staffer then I would be very loyal but they are understaffed and long lines even though Im Gold President’s Circle. Won’t go through that again. I would avoid Hertz at all costs.

Hertz Monterey CA Excellent Employee Maura

March 24, 2025

Hertz, Maura saved the day! I flew into the Monterey CA Airport from SD in January 2025 for my fathers funeral. The day started at 5am with a 2 hour flight delay. Needless to say, my flight arrived into Monterey at around 10:28pm. That afternoon I confirmed that my car reservation would be waiting for me when I arrived. 3 of 4 closed dark counters were in the hallway. I called the rental agency again. All they confirmed was that they closed at 10pm and that I would have to return in the morning for my vehicle. I just wanted to cry. As I turned around the Hertz counter was lit up. I walked up the counter and Maura was able to help me retrieve a vehicle for 1 day. Maura told me she was supposed to close at 10pm but stayed open because of other customers coming in late too. Maura helped me so quickly, efficiently and so thoughtful. She brought the car up front so that I didn’t have to go and search in the dark. I just wanted you to know these days I truly appreciated the effort she made for me. Because of Maura, Hertz will be my next car rental.
