Budget Great Experience

Great experience, over charged my credit card!

Everyone was very helpful when Enterprise left us stranded for over 2 hours in a public park and 3 days with no car on vacation when the car we had bumper just fell off. Budget gave me a decent price for the 3 days we had left of vacation and the Local Gentleman happened to open the office on a day we were told they would be closed, so we were able to get the car a day earlier. Everything was great with the vehicle and after finally finding the drop-off point at the airport it all went smoothly. However, now we got in our credit card bill and was overcharged by $175.11. I sent an email and have still not heard back from the company. I will return to this and change to a 4-star if I receive the refund for the overcharge.

I rented a car from Houston Hobby Budget Car Rental in October 2023. The interior flooring of the car was black carpet. During my visit to TX, the weather was extremely rainy and yes, soil from my shoes did get onto the carpet of the floor board as it would with anyone in those conditions. Two weeks after returning to Georgia, I received a letter stating that I was being charged $450 (which is more that the car rental), for the excessive soil in the floor board. They referred to this as damage.

If this was truly damage, why wasnt it filed on my insurance? It would have been cheaper for me to fly back to TX to shake out/vacuum the sand out myself. The only thing excessive, is the corporate greed in charging the little folks, for cleaning with the supplies/equipment they have onsight.

When I attempted to call for clarity, the calls go to an international call center. It is a shame that I could never speak to someone in Texas, where I actually rented the car. I have asked for pictures to be emailed to me. I have received nothing.
