Ace Hardware Frustrating Website Issue

April 3, 2025

Ace Hardware, your DRM pop-up completely locks my browser on my phone, forcing me to close and reopen it just to regain control. I never click on pop-ups, and this intrusive tactic is frustrating and time-consuming. If this issue isn’t fixed, I won’t be shopping at Ace Hardware again. I’ve already switched to a competitor because of it. As a longtime loyal customer, I find this practice rude and unnecessary. Please address this!

Ace Hardware Disappointing Customer Service

March 27, 2025

Ace Hardware,Disappointed Customer I have been a loyal and steady customer of Ace Hardware for decades. However, due to your company’s recent decisions, I will no longer be a customer until you publicly reconsider your stance. I am also encouraging my social media followers (only 700 or so people) to join me in choosing other options until changes are made. A former loyal customer.

Ace Hardware Fort Worth TX Disappointing Experience

March 12, 2025

Ace Hardware. Unacceptable Shopping Experience. I visited my local Ace Hardware in Fort Worth, TX, Store #66, located at 4551 Sycamore School Rd. Unfortunately, I was subjected to what felt like profiling and poor treatment based on outdated and unacceptable behavior. As I was selecting filters for a Heating/AC unit, an employee deliberately walked over to the aisle I was in, seemingly for no reason other than to watch me shop. He did not offer assistance or ask if I needed help. Instead, he observed me, walked back to the main aisle, and returned to his post in the Paint Department.

After making my selection and going to the cashier, the same employee had the nerve to nod and smile at me as if nothing had happened. I purchased two filters and left the store, but as I drove away, I became more upset about the experience. I decided to return to the store to get a refund. The cashier, who was polite, professional, and seemed genuinely concerned, asked why I was returning the items. I explained my experience and said that, as a returning customer, I would not continue shopping at Ace Hardware if this kind of treatment was acceptable. He apologized, even though he was not at fault. I asked to speak with a manager. A woman came to the front, but she did not introduce herself or provide her name. She asked what happened, and I explained the situation again. She also apologized and asked which employee was involved. I expressed my hope that management would take appropriate action and she asked me to leave my phone number so someone could follow up. That was on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Today is Wednesday, March 12, 2025, and I have yet to hear from anyone. This lack of response makes me feel like the behavior I experienced is either ignored or tolerated at this location, and perhaps at other Ace Hardware stores as well. Very disappointing and unacceptable.

Ace Hardware Mower Repair Issue

September 19, 2024

Ace Hardware, Deceiving service on mower repair job. I took my Stihl (RMA 410 C) battery powered lawn mower to this store for repair. I had purchased the mower from this store. The problem was the blade would not turn once it got into even short grass. After approximately 3 weeks, Ace called me and said the mower would need a new motor and gear box, cost over $300. Said given the age of the mower (7 years) and the fact they no longer made that model. I may be better off putting that money towards a new mower. A couple weeks past and I finally got over to pick it up. They charged me $40 for their service. I brought it home and after a week, a friend, Steve, asked to look at it. I took it to his shop and he called back in less than an hour to say the mower was fixed; I could come and pick it up. I was about to scrap it! Steve said Ace had never even looked at it! Said he had to clean the crud out of the screw head to access the motor. Once inside it was caked with dirt and fine grass clippings, he was sure they never examined it. Steve identified the problem as a ‘loose belt’ he adjusted belt tension and it is now working just fine. Recall, Ace charged me $40 ! The $40 hurt. . . . . But being lied to and conned, really upset me!

Ace Hardware Veteran Discount Request

September 17, 2024

Ace Hardware, Veteran discounts? When are you going to offer veteran discounts? 10% discounts are offered at Lowes and Home Depot for any items purchased, your rewards program is not up to par either, every time I try to use a discount the cashier needs to check a lift of any items that are not qualified for a discount? Really.
