American Signature Furniture Corporate Office & Closure Information

🗨  Comments

American Signature Furniture is no longer operating as an active furniture-store chain. Its parent company, American Signature Inc., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025 and subsequently liquidated all remaining American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture locations.

The former Columbus headquarters address and telephone numbers are retained below for historical reference. They should not be treated as verified active customer-service or corporate-office contacts. Former customers looking for an order, deposit or bankruptcy claim should use the official status and Chapter 11 resources.

Is American Signature Furniture Still in Business?

No. The official company status page states that all American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture locations are closed. American Signature Inc. initially entered Chapter 11 intending to pursue a sale and close selected underperforming stores. The process later changed to a liquidation of the remaining locations.

Going-out-of-business sales began at the final American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture stores in January 2026. The remaining retail locations closed by early April 2026.

The former American Signature Furniture website now directs visitors to shared closure, order-status and bankruptcy information. No replacement American Signature Furniture store chain or new operating corporate headquarters has been publicly verified.

Former American Signature Furniture Headquarters in Columbus

American Signature Inc. was based in Columbus, Ohio. Its former corporate office was commonly listed at:

American Signature, Inc.
4300 East 5th Avenue
Columbus, OH 43219

The former corporate number was 1-614-221-9200, and a former fax number was 1-614-443-9011. These numbers are retained only because people continue to search for the American Signature Furniture corporate office and headquarters. They are not confirmed as active complaint, refund, delivery, warranty or claims contacts following the liquidation.

American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture

American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture were separate retail brands operated by the same parent company, American Signature Inc. They shared corporate ownership, supply-chain operations and many company resources, but customers knew them as different store names.

The Value City Furniture business traces its retail history to 1948. American Signature Furniture was introduced as a separate brand in 1995. Therefore, describing American Signature Furniture itself as founded in 1948 is imprecise.

Both brands closed as part of the same American Signature Inc. Chapter 11 process. Readers looking for information about the other brand can visit the updated Value City Furniture corporate office and claims page.

American Signature Inc. Bankruptcy and Liquidation Timeline

  • November 2025: American Signature Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • Initial plan: The company planned to pursue a court-supervised sale while closing selected stores and continuing limited operations.
  • January 2026: The company announced that all remaining American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture locations would close.
  • February 2026: ASI Purchaser LLC acquired certain American Signature Inc. assets through the bankruptcy process.
  • Early April 2026: The remaining retail locations had closed.

The asset purchase should not be interpreted as confirmation that American Signature Furniture has reopened. No current American Signature Furniture retail operation, store network or replacement headquarters has been publicly announced.

How to Check an American Signature Furniture Order

Former customers can try the official American Signature and Value City order tracker. The tracker may require the customer identification number or order information shown on the original receipt or confirmation.

If the order cannot be fulfilled, the official closure page directs customers to the American Signature Chapter 11 case website. Because claim deadlines and case procedures can change, verify the current status with Verita before submitting documents.

Undelivered Furniture, Deposits and Bankruptcy Claims

Customers who paid a deposit or paid in full for furniture that was not delivered may be treated as creditors in the bankruptcy case. The former corporate office and closed stores are not reliable escalation routes for these matters.

Use the official American Signature Chapter 11 case website or contact Verita at 1-877-726-6511. International callers can use +1-424-236-7251.

A claim is not a guaranteed refund. The amount and timing of any distribution depend on the bankruptcy process, available assets, applicable deadlines and the treatment of the claim.

Gift Cards, Returns and Refunds

The official closure information states that American Signature Furniture and Value City Furniture gift cards are no longer accepted. It also states that liquidation sales were final, returns and exchanges were not accepted, and refunds were not being provided for unavailable merchandise.

Customers with unresolved deposits or undelivered orders should review the Chapter 11 case information. Do not pay an unofficial company or individual who claims that an upfront fee will guarantee a refund or release an order.

Financing and Credit Accounts

The company’s closure does not automatically cancel a furniture financing agreement. The official closure page advises customers to continue making scheduled financing payments.

For payment balances, promotional financing, account credits, billing disputes or credit reporting, contact the bank, finance company or lease provider named on the billing statement. The bankruptcy claims agent does not service third-party credit accounts.

Warranty and Protection Plan Questions

Check the original receipt, warranty document or protection-plan agreement to determine which company issued the coverage. Some plans may have been administered by an outside warranty provider that is legally separate from American Signature Furniture.

Contact the manufacturer or protection-plan administrator named in the paperwork. Keep the receipt, contract, product model, photographs, technician reports and previous claim correspondence. The former American Signature corporate number should not be assumed to remain an active warranty line.

What to Have Before Contacting the Claims Agent

  • Original receipt or invoice
  • Order or customer identification number
  • Former store location
  • Purchase, scheduled delivery and payment dates
  • Amount of the deposit or payment
  • Order-status screenshots or emails
  • Delivery, cancellation or refund correspondence
  • Financing or protection-plan documents
  • Any previous claim confirmation

Submit private order, payment and identification information only through a verified official case, lender or warranty-provider channel. Do not publish it in the reviews below.

American Signature Furniture Scam Warning

Closed retailers can attract fake support numbers, refund scams, fraudulent liquidation websites and messages claiming that a fee is required to release furniture or recover a deposit.

Use the official closure page, order tracker and Verita case website. Be cautious if someone unexpectedly requests a full card number, bank login, verification code, Social Security number, gift-card payment, cryptocurrency or remote access to a computer or phone.

About American Signature Furniture

American Signature Furniture was a home-furnishings retailer selling living room furniture, bedroom sets, dining furniture, mattresses, home-office furniture, rugs, lighting and décor. The brand operated primarily in Florida, Georgia, Delaware and Tennessee during its later years.

American Signature Inc. also operated Value City Furniture. The company’s historical Columbus headquarters supported both furniture brands before the Chapter 11 liquidation and store closures.

Before closing, American Signature Furniture competed with national and regional furniture retailers such as Ashley Furniture, Rooms To Go, IKEA and Wayfair.

These companies are alternatives for future furniture purchases. They cannot resolve an American Signature order, deposit, financing or bankruptcy claim.

American Signature Sarasota FL Disappointing Experience

March 19, 2025

American Signature Furniture Sarasota FL, Very Very Disappointed. I am very disappointed with American Signature Furniture in Sarasota FL. I have been a loyal customer for many years now. I purchased it on 02/22/2025. It was a floor model sale price item. It was the Coco 5-Piece Dual-Power Sectional in White. My husband and I sat on the sofa and let out all three reclining parts to make sure it worked and it did. Of course, we didn’t see the very back of the sofa with the tear or that one of the recliners didn’t perfectly fit into its other part. I called and texted my sales rep (Lisa Weill) on March 13th and she ressponded on the 14th saying she forwarded the complaint to a manager. After weeks I finally got a service tech to come to my house on Saturday 03/15/2025 just to say it was a mechanical issue and he had to get with the manager to see how to handle it. Once again, instead of anyone calling me back to resolve my issue, I had to call back yet again. This time I spoke with Diana Wednesday 03/18/25 @11:19 and she put me on hold for about 8 minutes before returning just to tell me she would need to speak with the manager (Jeff) and of course, he had no last name, and wasn’t in the store at the time. She said he would be in around 1:00 pm. At this point, I would like the furniture picked up and a full refund. I don’t want a replacement because I’m afraid to purchase anything else. It’s not because of the quality but the poor service I’ve received the only time I’ve had an issue. If I don’t get a resolution today, I will be filing a formal complaint to the BBB. I will also go to social media so that no one else will have to deal with this type of poor service.

American Signature Morrow GA Disappointing

December 20, 2024

American Signature, Management team need additional customer service or managerial training (Ms. Ricks). It was shocking because our first experience was roughly about a year ago the staff was wonderful and so attentive. My husband and I are very disappointed how we were mistreated on Friday,12/6/2024 at 6:30 pm in your store located in Morrow Georgia. We made a purchase on 12/2/24 with the assistance of Keyla Fomby she informed us we will receive a text when it’s time to pick up the item from the store. Our text came through on 12/6/24 so why we were out we stopped by the store to pick up the picture so my husband decided to call to let someone know we are on our way (literally 5 minutes away). The associate answered the phone told us the picture was not there in the store. We parked and went in the store to let the manger know something might be wrong with the system. Ms. Ricks was very inappropriate the way she spoke to us as if it was our fault your system sent out a text by error. Ms. Ricks need to take some customer service classes the way her body language and tone was not acceptable so canceled the order all together. We will never shop with your company again. That experience was bad I will not refer my family or friends to shop. Please speak with Ms. Ricks to let her know the customer should be treated with respect going forward.

American Signature Disappointing Experience

November 21, 2024

American Signature, Horrible experience. Our experience with American Signature on Dale Mabry in Tampa FL can only be described as either a nightmare or a comedy of errors. Bedroom set ordered and paid for on Sept 12th. After pushing delivery date back we received the entire order on October 15th. The delivery included a dresser that had clearly been dropped with visible damage to entire right side. In addition, one of the nightstands had nonfunctioning electronics in the form of faulty charger and down light. I was told by the delivery driver he would report the damage and that someone would contact us. Didn’t happen. Trying to reach someone was next to impossible as phone calls went consistently unanswered. So here we are 2 months later, and a new dresser and nightstand were finally delivered. Dresser is fine but nightstand has the same issue as the one being replaced. After numerous attempts once again, we have a scheduled date for a technician to come out and see if he can fix it. Whenever we eventually reach a human being, the comment is always the same. “We are short staffed.” We of course will never do business with the company again. It feels like a company in trouble and trying to hang on.

American Signature in Kennesaw Georgia

December 13, 2022

Liars! They have the same problem for years read the reviews. They will have what you bought 40 days after the day you expect. Do not buy anything in this horrible store. You will regret for sure. I bought a full room at American Signature in Kennesaw Georgia, but they didn’t have it. They said they will have after 50 days that I bought. They are horrible. Now have to go Rooms To Go or Ashley furniture, I bought with them before so they have more quality and they are more serious and responsible than American Signature.
