Carnival Cruise Line and Carnival Corporation Ownership

Carnival Cruise Line is one of the cruise brands within Carnival Corporation & plc, a global cruise company with a portfolio of cruise lines. Carnival Cruise Line is the consumer-facing brand many U.S. travelers know for family cruises, short cruises, Caribbean cruises, Bahamas cruises, Mexico cruises, Alaska cruises, onboard entertainment, dining, youth programs, shore excursions, and vacation packages.

Carnival Corporation & plc is the parent company behind multiple cruise brands. Some corporate matters, investor relations, governance communications, shareholder benefits, media contacts, and board-level communications are handled through Carnival Corporation rather than the Carnival Cruise Line customer-service team.

Choose the Correct Carnival Support Route

Before contacting Carnival corporate office, choose the support route that matches your issue. Cruise issues often involve time-sensitive travel documents, payment deadlines, cancellation terms, itinerary changes, onboard accounts, travel agents, accessibility needs, medical records, or post-cruise claims.

  • New booking or current reservation: Call Carnival customer service at 1-800-764-7419 or contact your travel advisor if you booked through one.
  • Website or technical issue: Contact Carnival Online Support at 1-800-845-2599.
  • Post-cruise complaint: Use Carnival’s Post-Cruise Inquiries or Guest Care route after your sailing.

  • Medical records or medical receipts: Use the medical records/receipts route on Carnival’s Post-Cruise Inquiries page.
  • Accessibility or ADA issue: Contact Carnival Guest Access at 1-800-438-6744 extension 70025 or use Carnival’s accessibility resources.
  • Shareholder, board, or governance matter: Use Carnival Corporation’s official investor or board communication resources.

What to Have Before Contacting Carnival Corporate Office

If you are escalating a Carnival complaint to Guest Care, customer service, or corporate headquarters, organize your information first. Cruise-related issues are easier to review when you include the ship, sail date, booking number, and a clear explanation of what happened.

  • Booking number, reservation number, or confirmation number
  • Ship name, sail date, itinerary, and stateroom number if relevant
  • Name of the travel advisor or booking site if you did not book directly with Carnival
  • Receipts, Sail & Sign statement, refund documentation, or onboard account details
  • Photos, written notices, emails, or screenshots when relevant
  • Names or dates of conversations with Guest Services, customer service, or Guest Care
  • Case number or prior response from Carnival if available
  • A short explanation of the resolution you are requesting

Do not post private details such as full booking numbers, passport numbers, birth dates, payment card numbers, medical details, home addresses, phone numbers, or employee personal information in public comments.

How to Escalate a Complaint to Carnival Corporate Office

For most Carnival complaints, start with the support route closest to the issue. If you are currently on board, report the problem to Guest Services while you are still on the ship. This is especially important for cabin issues, onboard charges, service concerns, safety issues, accessibility needs, excursions, dining problems, or medical-center concerns. Waiting until after the cruise may make some problems harder to document.

For reservation, cancellation, refund, itinerary, documentation, name-change, or payment questions before sailing, contact Carnival customer service or your travel advisor. If your cruise was booked through a travel advisor or third-party site, Carnival may direct certain changes or refund requests back through that booking source.

For issues after your cruise, use Carnival’s Post-Cruise Inquiries and Guest Care resources. Include the ship name, sail date, booking number, stateroom number, account statement, photos, receipts, and any prior response from onboard Guest Services.

If the issue remains unresolved, you may send a written escalation to Carnival Cruise Line or Carnival Corporation at the Miami headquarters address. Keep your complaint factual and concise. Explain what happened, who you contacted, when you contacted them, what documentation you have, and what resolution you are requesting.

Special Complaint Routes: Accessibility, Medical, Safety, and Refunds

Some Carnival issues need special handling because they involve travel rights, safety, medical documentation, disability access, or refund rules.

  • Accessibility and ADA concerns: Use Carnival’s Guest Access route and accessibility resources. Carnival lists Guest Access at 1-800-438-6744 extension 70025 and provides accessibility information for guests with disabilities.
  • Shipboard medical records or receipts: Use Carnival’s medical records/receipts contact route after the cruise. Keep the ship name, sail date, guest name, and relevant documentation available.
  • Lost luggage or damaged luggage: Report the issue promptly and use Carnival’s post-cruise luggage or lost-and-found route.
  • Sail & Sign holds: Carnival notes that bank holds may remain until the guest’s bank releases them. Contact your bank if a hold remains after Carnival has settled the final account.
  • Cancelled or significantly delayed cruise refund: Review Carnival’s nonperformance refund policy and contact Carnival or your travel advisor within the required time period.
  • Safety or conduct issue: Report urgent onboard safety concerns to Guest Services or ship personnel immediately while on board.

Scam, Privacy, and Travel Safety Warning

Cruise travelers should be careful when searching online for Carnival phone numbers, refund help, cruise complaint contacts, or emergency support. Fake support numbers, sponsored ads, and unofficial complaint sites may try to collect booking numbers, payment details, passport information, travel dates, or login credentials.

Use only Carnival’s official website, the phone number on your booking confirmation, your verified travel advisor, or official Carnival customer service resources. Carnival reminds guests to protect their booking number and to use official Carnival numbers, a Carnival Personal Vacation Planner, or a travel agent for reservation questions or changes.

Never share your Carnival account password, full payment card number, passport number, one-time verification code, medical details, or full booking information with an unverified caller or website.

Carnival Disappointing Change Issues

April 19, 2025

Carnival, Sudden changes of our cruise. Departure date 5/3/2025. To whom it may concern, my wife and I are soon to begin our cruise on the Mardi Gras from Port Canaveral on the above date. When the purchase was made, the cruise included a balcony cabin among other things. We purchased a vacation protection package also. Before all of this, my wife, was scheduled to have knee surgery on April 17th. At the time we were assured that by the time of the cruise, her ability to walk would be no problem. A while later we were contacted by our surgeon that he didn’t recommend traveling by May 2nd. So, we planned on canceling the cruise and all the other travel arrangements and followed through a while later. A while later, my wife had to be seen in our local ER for nasal and throat congestion. She was subsequently cleared of any problems with a few minor suggestions from the staff. A few days after that we were informed by her surgeon that the procedure was canceled because of her ER visit. We immediately called Carnival and began the process of reestablishing our cruise. The person informed us that we would have the cruise back but that the balcony was removed from the booking and we would be assigned to an interior cabin with a refund of $80.00. That was all. No other options were available.

Now, my wife is 86 and I’m 78. We’ve used Carnival for years and have never been treated like this. I realize the person we talked to had very little ability to amend thigs. She was very gracious at the time. A wonderful person. So, the question is why was there extremely little flexibility with this issue – even after explaining ourselves as thouroghly as possible? This is a little bit cruel and very impersonal. At this point I’m almost sure that an answer from you wouldn’t change a thing so I’ll just let you know our disappointment; even more so after explaining all of this to my wife, seeing her face, and hearing her tell me to accept what cannot be changed. Please understand all of this and think of your policies in the future. Also, we have still booked a cruise in November despite everything. Peace.

Carnival Disappointing Membership Issue

December 28, 2024

Carnival, Platinum and Diamond Members overlooked. I have been sailing on Carnival since 2010 and have noticed a big shift if how Platinum and Diamond Members are treated. Platinum and Diamond used to get special gifts (swag) in their State Rooms. Now we get the same coozie or fanny packs as every other passenger. It’s like you really don’t care about your loyal passengers anymore. Sure you are now giving Platinum and Diamond Members an extra free drink but I can get free drinks in the casino. I used to wear a rain jacket my husband got years ago so technically I was advertising Carnival. Now when people ask me the best cruises I tell them to shop. I don’t promote Carnival anymore because of how you have been ignoring your truly loyal customers.

Carnival Very Disappointing

January 13, 2024

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Spouse was life-flighted and had to cancel the trip. We had a cruise booked from January 8 to January 13, 2024 to the Western Caribbean. My husband was life-flighted with multiple heart attacks and a GI bleed on January 5th. When I contacted Carnival to request a refund or trip credit for a future cruise they said “We don’t do that” Very disappointing!! We are out over $2000 since Carnival would not help in this critical situation. Do Not cruise with Carnival!!!!

Carnival Customer Service

December 13, 2022

Many cruises with Carnival. Cruised to Alaska from Seattle on 5/18th. On the first day of the cruise, I was hit by a sliding door on the 9th door. The door closed on me and resulting in my being thrown to the floor. Resulting in back of the head on the 6-inch baseboard hitting the back of the head. Stitches were required. Was told on the day before we were to debark the ship, I would need to go to my private physician when I returned home. No mention as to who would pay for the removal of the stitches. Doctor was

seen on 5/30 removed the stitches; told I had skull fracture where the head on the baseboard.
