  1. CUBESMART SEEMS LIKE THE ORGANIZED CRIME OF THE STORAGE TO ME. THEY GUIDO PEOPLE AND TELL THEM THEY HAVE TO HAVE THEIR INSURANCE.. WRONG YOU DO NOT.. THEY GUIDO PEOPLE AFTER YOU ARE IN AND THEY TAKE YOUR PAYMENT FROM THE LOCATION BECAUSE THE AUTO SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING THE FIRST MONTH AND THEN THE NEXT MONTH THEY REFUSE TO AND TO DO IT OVER THE PHONE BECAUSE YOU ARE DRVING AND CANNOT GET TO A COMPUTER THE CHARGE IS 3.95 UNLESS YOU TAKE IT TO THE LOCATION IN PERSON.. THIS IS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TEHN THEY LOCK YOU OUT AND IF YOU LOOK AROUND MY LOCATION SUWANEE GA. THERE ARE A LOT OF LOCKED OUT UNITS.. BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY APPARENTLY JUST TRAIN THEIR PEOPLE TO GET YOU IN THERE AND THEN GUIDO YOU TO KEEP YOU THERE IF YOU ARE OUT OF TOWN AND CANNOT POP IN TO MOVE OUT.. I WILL NEVER GO TO OR RECOMMEND A CUBE SMART..AND THE DISTRICT MANAGER KEEPS TRYING TO FORCE ME TO TALK ON THE PHONE NOT VIA EMAIL AS I AM ALMOST COMPTETELY DEAF. CUBE SMART NEEDS TO TRAIN THEIR "MANAGERS" ABOUT ADA LAWS.
    Oh and it is real convenient their corporate phone number is no good.

  3. The gate at their Las Vegas NV location has been open 24/7 for almost 2 weeks. I ask them why and they say they were trying to find someone to fix it. Some corporation! Do you think the gate in front of their CEO's mansion stays broke for 2 weeks? This is a mismanaged company and should not be invested in.

     
  4. For cubesmart's auction in St Augustine which closes in 17 days 12-7-16. I can tell you which two units will be held over ahead of time so that the management can pillage through the unit. S T auction ID #353468, and #353457…..You watch. It will either run all the way through and they will cancel prior to pick up with a phoney reason, or they will skim the unit prior to the arrival of the bidder arriving, seeing as lock tags are not supplied. Also those two units do not show the unit number in the pics, though others at that location do, nor do your listings in the paper show the unit numbers, as they skirt Fl statute.

    Use a lock tag, to let people at least think management is honest

     
  5. My husband and I split up and as a result neither of us paid our storage for 2 months. When I realized this I went down and paid almost $700.. They removed their red lock and what I discovered when I opened my storage? My whole unit was gone through and several items were missing. Cubesmart just said oh well.. I will never have anything to do with Cubesmart again!

     
    1. Yep. They go through them, and then sale the rest of the contents on online storage auction. Cubesmart in the Jax Florida area is crooked from start to end. They lie, steal, and manipulate their auctions after they go trough them, so I am not surprised this happened to you. I am an auction buyer, and have witnessed what they do first hand. From buying a unit, then finding one of their over locks (uncut) in the bottom of a box. To winning an auction just for them to tell me the buyer paid when I called to make arrangements to pick it up. Knowing they lie, as the same unit went up almost immediately after I originally won the auction. Needless to say, I will not be bidding on any of their rooms until they clean up the crooked on going things they are doing. Ripping people off on both ends (steal from the unit, then put it up for sale) Cancel the sale, (then put it right back up for auction)

      I wonder if corporate know what their employees are doing. As I type they have a sale going that states clearly in the listing. And I quote!!

      "ALL THE MILITARY GEAR IN THIS UNIT IS NOT PART OF THE SALE AND WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE UNIT AFTER THE SALE."

      In other words…..We the employee plan to sell you the garbage, then take anything of value & keep for ourselves. Storage Treasures Auction ID 333799 in Jacksonville Florida

      So folks, if you store with Cubesmart, It's not the auction buyers you need to be angry with, yet the people Cubesmart employs. As they are going to rob you prior to your unit being sold at auction. At least we auction buyers purchase the units legally

  7. They locked the unit because corporate was late in payment. They have been paid over $ 16,000.00 over the past 6 years. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

     
  8. I purchased a defaulted unit storage online..I was charged for the unit. 2hours after unit auction had ended, I received a message that the original owner had just came in and paid the bill. In the state of Illinois this is illigal. I called the district manager 4times no return call was made.

  10. I have a unit in which I have always paid on time! I ask to get to extra days to have my items removed from my unit. I was told flat out NO! NO prorates! I was told to read my lease! My bill is due on 15th, they stated they could give me until the 20th unpaid to remove my items or pay in full for the next month $150. In which my unit would be EMPTY! I close on my new home Dec 22, ask for the Dec 23rd to have my items removed. I was told NO, I wasnt even asking them to give me anything for free quote me a price for the extra days. I was told again no prorate or anything esle. They are doing the best they can by giving until the 20th! If not paid by them on the night of 20th they will put a lock on my unit! I called Headquarter and spoke with a manager by name of Monica. She repeated the same thing the sale manager and the unit office in Columbus, Ohio. They states they have the best customer service! That's a joke! I got the same service by calling the HEADQUARTERS!!!!!
