Intuit Frustrating Customer Service

March 24, 2025

Intuit, Too bad they don’t have negative stars as that is what I would give them. Have been with Intuit Quickbooks since 1999 when we purchased our business. Started out paying $269 in 2002 to upgrade from 1999 to 2002 including payroll with $179 for payroll continuation until 2004. Paid $1005 for Quickbooks Desktop alone and $580 for payroll in the year 2024! So cost has gone from $269 a year for both to $1585 for both in 2024! In 2024 they talked me into trying the online version with promises I could revert to Desktop with no problems if I didn’t like the Online version with their core payroll. I cancelled it within weeks because I didn’t like the Online version. It ended up costing me $285 after I had to fight to get back $530 of the $815 I was charged for online services I never used. Somehow they ended up starting 2 versions of my account for online (I’m sure this had to do with foreign customer service people) and were charging me for both. Since I didn’t know this, they kept charging me $50 a month for the second payroll I did not use because I purchased the desktop payroll at $579 for the year. After talking to multiple people (whom English was not their native language) and spending literally hours trying to straighten this out I did get them to refund me a total of $530 and they couldn’t figure out how to refund the rest. I finally spoke to a supervisor who I think would have refused to give me anything because it was past the 30 day period. So much for customer service.

Impossible to get Customers Payment from Merchant Services

November 30, 2023

If there was an option of a “0” star I would have selected it! We have been working on trying to get $15,000 released to our vendor for payment on 2 invoices. Intuit 1st told our vendor their account was set up wrong and they had to close that account and set up a new account. Then when that was done they told my vendor they couldn’t get to the funds because the account it was deposited into was closed. They “escalated” the problem to another department. It has been 6 weeks since we made our payment to our vendor through Intuit. The vendor has called a few times each week for the last 6 weeks and they keep getting the same response, “there is nothing they can do about it, but they will “escalate” the problem to the next level. how many different levels of escalation are there?
