  • I've been an employee for 8yrs. First it was Odyssey Hospice and then Gentiva Hospice and now Kindred Hospice. Well things started happening when big Management change. I was written up for a lousy 2 hrs of overtime. It was logical to stay because computers were down and I had gotten through to Tech support. Well that's not all. I could write a book with all this turmoil in one small office..By the way in NJ. Managers yell at you and so does the NEW ED. She is horrible so far there has been 3 of us on Sick leave for emotional reasons. I can't deal with them anymore. It seems like they are picking on people of AGE and Dissabilty. Here we work for a Company that cares for the sick but not a damn corporate. person cares about the little. Just like our government. I would be very surprised if the CEO answered this complaint.. And I'm not knit picking either.

  • Hi im a lvn that works at kindred baldwin park ca . well im been having problems with supervisors .i told that some cna's where not doing the care to the patient they get fed late and theg dont get shave or water and they never due oral care i reported to them and i got cancel for 3 days so i got in trouble by doing by job as a reporter and my duties please help us im not the only one please read yelp reviews familys are not happy we need help theres no supervisors that helps us fix problems by not getting in trouble with them …thank u please help us …and patients need your help ..

  • i work at kindred's at Walden in MA. The place is awful. Don't come for 3-11 shift expecting to go home at the end of your shift. There might be no nurse to relieve you at the end of the shift. It has happened to me several times. My wife works 11-7 with a Genesis facility, so my kids has ended up sleeping on the babysitters couch and missing school the next day on several occasions. Have some extra energy because you will also work short. Be ready to be posted as the charge nurse on the schedule although your pay check won't reflect that. Should i sue this place or just quit?

  • I am, soon to be was, an employee at Kindred Hospital in Lima Ohio. It starteed out as a great place to work and now its to the point I dread going to work. The managment in this hospital is the worst. No communication, no praise for doing a good job. They really under-appritiate their employees. They will have nurses sitting doing nothing and playing on phones and whatever while the techs are busting ass to do everything. And if a tech asks for help its like the end of the world. I would not recommend this place to work at. Ever. Its getting so bad even doctors don't want to send patients their anymore.

  • I am an employee in the SF Bay Area and I'm wondering why the places are not diverse? Being in the SF Bay Area there are people of all races but when I go to the facilities It's only Filipinos working there. Not to mention they are family members hiring family members and their friends. It is so unfair that is allowed to happen. Something needs to be done about that because there are people of all races needing jobs and a diverse workplace equals a fair and balanced work environment. Oh and I thought it was against the company's policy to speak languages other than English unless for translation purposes, apparently that policy is not followed. Discrimination is against the law.

    • I agree!! Unfortunately Kindred enables this type homogeneous hiring practices at the clinical level. Ironically you won't find these unlawful non diversified hiring practices at the corporate level. What ever happened to equal opportunity?

  • I work for a Kindred in Massachusetts. I am very unhappy with the health ins they offer us. It is horrible. Basically pay fro nothing cause we have to pay for all our own doctor appointments and medications until our deductible is reached!!! which is $1500 – $3000 depending on what you choose. I have never had such horrible ins in my life! Such a big company making lots of money. And its a healthcare company! Think they would take better care of there employees! Such a shame.

    • I live in Ohio. When I went to Child Support and complained they set up a hearing for me. It was deemed unreasonable and not cost effective to have it. The child support office was like, seriously why would anyone pay for this. I ended up not having to take a policy out. I got a great deal on insurance from a private company that was way bettwr and cheaper.

  • I use to work for your facility in Kenosha, WI I wish the place was run more smoothly first of all the place don't believe in the Hippa law if something happens everyone knows about it, scheduler is not fair she has her favorite that gets all the hours I really believe that position should have been handed to someone from the outside with experience. Overall this place needs improvement from management on up , our voices don't get heard everyone that works here is suppose to be a team but its no team work at all.

  • I was employed at one of your facilities (country rehab 180 low street Newburyport, MA) as a nurses aid for almost 2 years. I was recently terminated because the DON did not like me and found an excuse to do so. I am okay with that because the abuse the workers and residents are subject to there is horrific. My CNA license came up for renew this past January and the facility sent in the renewal paperwork to have it renewed. My license was renewed and sent to the facility back on January 29th. I was no longer employed there at that time. I have made numerous calls to Karen Babs (the director) and Emily Simora (the DON) to have them send it to me. It is now March 7th and I still have not received it. I have been given the run around and lied to by both of them and they have been very uncooperative with helping me with this issue. I even had the Red Cross contact them to resolve it, which they told them it is being taken care of. I am wondering if there was a way that the Corporate office can help me get them to mail me my license. I am at wits end and do not want to have to either go to the facility or file a complaint with the attorney generals office or the department of public health.

  • I work in the Kitchen, and have to push carts to hall. They are heavy steel carts, and when full of food even heavier. The wheels are defective, and the doors will not stay shut. They flop open. Not only is this a hazard to h reisdents, they are a hazard to me and other employees. They should be fixed or replaced, yet nothiing is done. Money is spent instead for silly signs, the make the place appear to be great. It is not great when you don't have enough supplies in the kitchen to prepare the proper food for the residents. Two months we have needed lids for the smaller glasses, they have not been ordered. The residents are very much into meal time. The one thing they look forward to, yet we don't have proper supplies to feed them properly. Rules are not followed. I can't talk to my supervisor, as she is for real bipolar. She goes on tangents. Does not do her job, and then all of a suddent she starts ranting and raving. Our hours have been cut yet we still suppose to finish on time.

  • I want to file a complaint against the administrator at The Greens in Ohio… Who should I speak with about her… She's harassing all the older employees, forcing themout and replacing them with her friends… None of her friends hhas experience to perform the job but this is what she's doing… Please get back to me asap because, I will be calling the CEO of Kindred… This is total harassment!

  • Hello, I am a Current Kindred Employee, who was Injured on the Job. I was off for 7 months following the Work Related Surgery (AWFUL PAIN!!). My Doctor released me on Modified Duty to return to work and it felt 'So Great' to be back to doing what I Love!! Only to be told after 90 days of being back on the Schedule "Kindred's Policy only allows for 90 days of Transitional Duty". Now here I am back to Lying Around, DEPRESSED, and Going out of My Mind!! Something is wrong with this Policy, especially when I work for a LARGE FACILITY, who has Plenty of work within my Restrictions. I have been advised to call OSHA on the Safety Issue..think I just might..What would you do???

  • Hello, I would like to be left unknown because, I don't appreciate it when someone or somebody mistreats me everyday for no apparent reason at all. Let's just say that they were knick picking on me everyday. I want to know if I could get my job back.

    • That is what i am going through right now i was improperly taught how to wipe down beds, lack of communication and mistreated i am taking action.
